“Welcome to the world where magic and technology meet. This is technomancy. Your smartphone is now your wand, ready to channel your inner magic.” This is a great tool to have and to reference back to. Thank you to NetGalley, Watkins Publishing, and Tree Carr for the digital copy.
I enjoyed the Greek terminology and background of the word “Technomancy” (among other words and phrases), and the author’s lucid dream of Technomancy. I also really love the emoji breakdowns and the recommended tools at the end. I got some great ideas for apps to download.
There was a lot of background and history in this book which I appreciated. I do think there were a few repeat thoughts and words on multiple pages but it didn’t deter me from reading. It did start off a bit slow. It picked up for me at about 20% in. Surprisingly, there were some practices I was already implementing that I had not considered being witchy with my tech.
“Your smartphone is a wand.” “It’s time to reclaim your phone as an ally on your journey. Rather than allowing it to control you, use it as a conduit for your highest good. Treat it as a sacred object, and a tool for wisdom, connection and empowerment. The magic isn’t in the device itself; it’s in how you choose to use it.” - I truly enjoyed the idea of creating a healthy relationship with your phone. I plan on getting a selenite slab just for my phone and practicing cleansing with my device!
