This was beautifully and powerfully written. It's a unique and wonderful combination of self-help and poetry. I feel like this came to me at exactly the right time. It felt like a therapy session in the best way. I connected with the themes of self-love, growth, and healing. I would recommend this to anyone on a healing journey.

A Trillion Facets of Light is an empowering collection that guides readers through a poetic journey of self-acceptance and love. Through verse, author Sara Christiansen Jeffs dismantles the idea that we must always strive for something more, emphasizing that we are enough as we are.
Each poem is written with tender-hearted sincerity, making me feel as if I were having an intimate conversation with a friend. Poems in this collection, like “The Only Permission You Need” and “ In Case No One Told You Today”, deeply resonated with me. Many of the poems in this book made me pause and take a moment to reflect. Realizing that I need to give myself grace and treat myself with more compassion.
The poems in this collection were deeply inspirational, with clear, concise language that encouraged readers to embrace the light within themselves rather than focus on what they may feel they lack.
I think this is a very accessible form of poetry. The writing isn't flowery but it's clear, concise and easy to read. I like that the collection varies between longer and shorter poems. It makes the reading much less overwhelming for newer readers of poetry like myself.
'I Hope You Celebrate' was a standout poem for me. Without realising it, it's a reminder that I needed. 'I'm Just a Girl Standing Infront of Her Reflection' sounded like the conversations I have with myself daily. The title, 'A Trillion Facets of Light' is not only beautiful in itself but represents the collection perfectly.
The collection made me pause, reflect and smile. It's certainly brightened my day. I would recommend this title to anyone who needs these reminders, anyone who is going through a tough time or anyone who is struggling with their mental health. You don't necessarily need to be familiar with poetry to enjoy this title. I will be buying a copy of this book when it's published for someone in my life who needs to hear these reminders.
Thank you to the author, publisher and NetGalley for providing me with this ARC and to the author for making me smile today.
File this under 'things everyone needs to hear once in a while and sometimes every day". I enjoyed this collection of poetry immensely. Having this running thought process is sometimes the only way to get through bad days, and the empathy of the author really shines here. One I hope to add to my personal collection once released.
Thank you to NetGalley and publisher for the Advance Reader's Copy in exchange for an honest review!
