This is my first book by Dawn Martens and she has become a one-click author for me. I have read many books this last week due to the snow storm but Twisted Up in You called to me. I just didn’t want to put it down. When I had to be a responsible adult I continued to think about the characters and couldn’t wait to get back to my book.
Twisted Up in You has a strong story line, multiple level of characters, each well developed, and can be read as a standalone book. There are secrets, deception, sexual tension, sizzling chemistry, and immerses the reader in the world. The emotional roller coaster is well worth the journey. Cori and Blake's story had jaw dropping twists and turns and hot scenes that left me wanting more. But be aware the epilogue will leave you wanting more. This is a fantastic book by an amazing (new-to-me) author. You will be sucked into the story and find yourself saying “one more chapter” when real life is calling.

Loved this book!! It's unlike any book I've read. Everyone is so free to get in on anywhere and anytime without regards to others around, so in a way that was hot!! And even though the MC club is a good club, made me more into it. And i never became bored with this book. Therr was always something new going on even though sometimes I caught myself saying this would never happen but luckily it was a book so it could happen. Can't wait to read the next book in this series. Ive been left hanging!!

Ok so... picture yourself in front of some train tracks, about to see two trains collide. That is what this book feels like. You know what's coming. You know it's gonna be devastating and that casualties will occur. That it's messy and ugly. Yet you can't look away. Corinne and Blake are two very promiscuous and straight fucked up people who dig each other. In all honesty, you spend a good part of the story shaking your head and quite possibly disliking them as MCs. The have a few redeeming moments but for the most part... You're thinking. W. T. F. Lol The rating is because despite that crap, I was still hooked. There's SO much drama and many twists and you can't help but get sucked in. Kudos to the writer because while I didn't love the MCs, I was still quite entertained. That epilogue. I MUST know wth is next. The set up for more books was stellar. This author is not scared to make her characters suffer.

This story revolves around abused children in foster care and the psychological effects when they reach adulthood. As a bonus, the Warrior Angels play a big role in saving those children and bring the offenders to justice.

Cori and her younger sister Melissa are grossly neglected by their mother until she puts them in foster care. They are rescued by the Warrior Angels who give them a better life. Cori is now working as a PA for an organisation which investigates the abuse cases and take appropriate actions. Cori still has nightmares about the horrific treatments she went through whilst in care. Although this hasn't stopped her from getting on with her life, she doesn't believe in permanent relationships. She is easy going, care free and likes a good time. She is the opposite when she is at work.

Blake is Cori's boss. His past is not dissimilar to Cori's. He is attracted to Cori but doesn’t make a move because she is so quiet and shy! Cori likes him too but doesn’t think that he sees her as more than a friend. Blake sees the true side of Cori at a work party and decides to take action but Cori thinks that he is just looking for a quick and easy fling. When they really get to know each other they realise that they could have a good relationship but their pasts get in the way. It's heartbreaking to find out what they both went through during their childhood.

There is a lot going on in this story with so many secondary characters involved. It's a good sign that there is more to come but sometimes their roles take the focus away from the main characters. This is an interesting story full of twists and turns as well as an emotional rollercoaster.

I admire Blake and Cori for the way they turn their lives around. It's refreshing to see that the Angel Warriors are still as dedicated to their cause as ever. I would recommend this book to other readers.
