Description
The highly anticipated follow-up to All the Little Houses
From the USA Today bestselling author of The Hunting Wives (now a hit Netflix series) comes a deliciously wicked stand-alone sequel to All the Little Houses, as the fallout from an utterly unexpected death reverberates over every margarita and through every pine-lined street down in Texas.
Longview is a place quite familiar with social scandal and unsolved crimes, but now that the queen has fallen from her throne, there's more at stake than just pinning a murder on someone. For those who would relish their own empire, like a certain trad wife or a deviously ambitious daughter, the town crown is there for the taking—if you're not taken to jail first.
No one is innocent here, not in the land of big hair and bigger mischief. You can't get what you want without a little collateral damage—and everything's bigger in Texas.

I absolutely devoured this sequel by May Cobb. It was a perfect continuation of All the Little Houses! Usually I dont find sequels as good but this one picked up right where the first book left off. And the fact that Charlene was a ghost was just delicious, I loved her catty little comments and how she still rooted for Nellie even though she killed her. What a gem of a book. 5 stars for me!

If you grew up on 80s soap operas, this book will take you back. From the dual investigations; pioneer (early trad) family; and neighborhood gossip; to the ghost/spirit helping narrate, I could not put it down. It picks up right where the last book ended and does not let its foot off the gas for a single second. This may be my favorite May Cobb book yet!

May Cobb provides the perfect ending to this hot mess express soap opera and follow-up to All the Little Houses. This book must be read after its predecessor in order to fully enjoy it. It picks up immediately and just snowballs into a fury of chaos. And of course, I loved it. A total one-sitting read!

I loved the first and couldn't wait for the sequel and this does not disappoint! This was a great wrap-up to the first one, also. I can't think of any loose-ends and the characters, whether likeable or not, act true to form in the end. Highly recommend this series! She writes so that you feel like you are watching a show, yet don't feel like it's too much detail. I really enjoy her books and am going to go back and read The Hunting Wives, even though I've watched the series already.
Thanks so much to NetGalley for this ARC!
