Description
USA TODAY BESTSELLING EROTIC ROMANCE AUTHOR RELEASES 2016’S SEXIEST, SASSIEST STANDALONE NOVEL
Dylan James has no expectations when it comes to relationships. He uses women for sex. They use him for his money and power. It’s quid pro quo and he’s good with that. It works.
Beth Harrison has been burned. A recovering alcoholic, she’s tired of the lies and the game playing that men bring and has buried herself in her passion – baking – which keeps her out of the reach of booze. And heartbreak.
But as Indigo Nights opens – and Dylan and Beth find themselves captivated by one another in the first-class cabin of a Chicago-bound carrier, then stranded at the Heathrow Hilton for the night due to a plane malfunction – it quickly becomes clear that fate has other ideas.
The hotly anticipated new novel from USA Today bestselling author Louise Bay, Indigo Nights follows Dylan and Beth – in chapters that alternate between their voices – as they embark upon an unbelievably sexy, emotionally fraught trans-Atlantic love affair.
When a popular Chicago morning show woos London-based Beth with an offer she can't turn down, she finds herself in Chicago – and in bed with billionaire Dylan – with regularity she couldn’t have anticipated. She’s not made room for love in the safe, stable, perfectly fulfilling life she’s built for herself since getting sober – and she couldn’t be more nervous about what it means for her burgeoning career, her protective family, and, most importantly, her well-being.
Meanwhile, Dylan’s not without problems of his own: namely the re-emergence of his ex-fiancée, and a secret that threatens to destroy not only his blossoming relationship with Beth, but his credibility as one of Chicago’s shrewdest businessmen, too.
Frothy, fast-paced, and chock-full of fabulous cityscapes, sugary confections, and carnal encounters, Indigo Nights is a standalone novel with no cliffhanger – and is not-to-be-missed by die-hard and casual romance readers alike.

This is the first book I have read of Louise Bay and it won't be the last. I thoroughly enjoyed this book!
What do I like so much about this book? The female character, Beth, was a strong independent woman with flaws. She is a recovering Alcoholic due to tragedy in her earlier life. Beth was honest from the beginning and didn't apologize for it. She meets super hot, rich man, Dylan, on a flight to London who immediately wants to bed her. Despite her attraction to him, she doesn't turn into a simpering fool and does whatever he wants. I loved that! Dylan, who has never had to work to get a woman in his bed has to actually work for Beth's attention. I loved that as well! Dylan is another very strong, independent character who lives his life based on a women he loved in his earlier years who betrayed him. He's kept all women at arms length to protect himself.
Now, what did I not like about this book? A couple of things but nothing I can ligitamitly expect the author to change or the integrity of this story is gone. The character flaws we read in this story needs to be there or this is not a story worth reading.

a sexy standalone read. Dylan (8a) and Beth are perfect for each other

4.5 Stars!
Indigo Nights has a lot going for it, including a variety of tantalizing cakes, steamy sex and a hot couple that overcome their past to forge a future together.
Louise Bay is a "new to me" author and I plan on reading much more from her book library.
Beth Harrison is a baker and her "how to" videos on YouTube have been noticed by the weekend morning show in Chicago. She has been asked to create her luscious treats on TV, which is just the beginning of her blossoming career. Beth is a recovering alcoholic and her sobriety means everything to her. As a result, she lives in a cocoon surrounded by those that cannot hurt her or break her heart. Meeting successful and gorgeous businessman Dylan James changes her life forever. Dylan is lives in Chicago and Beth lives in London.
Dylan and Beth have amazing chemistry, which evolves their casual sexy times into so much more. Dylan likes to be in control in the bedroom and he does so with grace and desire. Their connection is so special, they are able to work through the bad in order to get to the good.
I really enjoyed this story. Ms. Bay writes with a very clear voice and she balances the happenings with the greatest of ease. If you enjoy a novel with a strong heroine and a hero that just won't give up, then check out this touching read. Overall, this is an exciting book that twists and turns in all the right places.

Thanks for letting me review this book.
I love when erotica novels actually have a plausible story line - thanks Louise Bay! The characters in this were well developed and my attention was held throughout by the fact that they connected on an emotional & intellectual level and weren't just consumed by lust. I would happily read more about Beth & Dylan.

What came over me that made me stop reading Louise Bay’s gems for such a long time? I must have gone mad because after reading Indigo Nights I guarantee that I’m not going to do that again.
Indigo Nights is the story of how Beth Harrison met Dylan James and fall madly in love. Although is a standalone, it’s relate with What The Lighting Sees series since it’s the story of Jake’s sister.
Everything starts in a plane at the Chicago airport. Beth is returning home, London, after coming to the US to discuss a business deal with a Chicago TV chanel which offered her to become the cook on their Sunday breakfast show. As for Dylan, he is going to London to negotiate some deals concerning his business. But, under some “inconvenient” circumstances, the flight is being canceled and they end up staying in a hotel. Soon though, they indulge in being each other’s lover for the night. But, after that night, Dylan is determined to let her slip that easily through his fingers.
So, little by little, they start getting more close and sharing more intimate experiences. This scares both, for different reasons each, but the pull, the passion there is between them and the magnificent love that is steadily growing, aren't allowing them to let each other go. Each encounter of theirs brings them more and more close to the inevitable HEA while, for them to be together, it encourages them to get over their biggest fears and slam shut the door at the Past’s face. What more wonderful and heart-warming than witnessing two people, who love each other deeply, to be willing to beat everything that haunts them down so they can move on and live the future they so desperately want!
As for the encounter I said before? Swinging between intense, HOT, steamy HOT, funny, sweet, swoon-worthy and, some times, heart-breaking and sad. But each one of them adds something amazing to the story making it complete and you unable to resist loving it with all your heart.
Louise Bay once again proved to one of the most amazing new authors who can effortlessly captivate you into their world. Her writing is spellbounding and is flowing so easily like water that, when I reach the end of each of her stories, I haven’t realized how fast the time went. Her stories are beyond enjoyable and her BFFs are some of the best, most irresistible, most amazing and HOTTEST ones they exist.
I can’t wait to see what other gem she has up her sleeve! The waiting for the unknown is killing me…….. :p

“Cake and orgasms – life didn’t get much better than that.”
Dylan and Beth! I adored them!
Beth is an alcoholic. She’s been sober for a few years but she’s never had sober sex. She started baking to focus on something else. Her baking leads her to her home city of Chicago. On the flight back to London, she meets Dylan. Broody, serious, gorgeous Dylan, who turns out to be dirty-talking, downright sexy Dylan!
Dylan was jilted years ago and now plays the field. Beth’s vulnerability and honesty hooks him in, and his possessiveness and tenderness of feeling for her surprises him, but doesn’t deter him from pursuing her.
They both want transparency in their relationship but Dylan is hiding a secret that could break Beth’s trust.
This book was seriously hawt! The chemistry between them was incandescent, and the ingredients of cake, sex and orgasms really worked for me! One of my new favourite reads from this author!

I was hooked from the first chapter. I loved the story. I loved the characters. Beth is a recovering alcoholic who hasn't been in a relationship since been dry, no sex either. Dylan also has not been in a relationship since being ditched by his fiancé for a richer man years earlier. Dylan is now an uber rich and not looking for a relationship, hookups work just fine. After meeting on a plane and having that instant connection, a one night stand seems in order. Both, it seems cannot just leave it at one night and this is the beginning of a super hot relationship involving lots of sex and, cake. Beth does not however realise that Dylan is her boss and, of course it has to come out in the worst possible way, in the papers. I saw the train wreck coming, and there was nothing I could do to stop it. Can Beth Forgive Dylan? Will true love conquer all? Both of them it would seem are harbouring secrets. A thoroughly enjoyable read. Highly recommend.

That's right, I read this book in 24 hours. I recognized Beth from the Calling Me Series featuring Luke and Ash. I loved that I was familiar with the character. I like books that are not filled with a lot of drama and suspense, yet still manages to captivate. It's easy when you feel and instant connection with the character through the words of the author. There's nothing wrong with steamy sex that features chocolate mousse either. Dylan and Beth both had issues, him dealing with a broken heart that led him to being a one-night stand kind of guy, and Beth trying to keep her sobriety at bay. I was so glad that this book did not leave me with a cliffhanger, and making me wait for the next installment that would end up the same way. I would have been so disappointed and aggravated. In my opinion cliffhangers don't belong in this genre. I hope that the author continues to deliver books in this fashion as I would be more inclined to read them.

Louise certainly knows how to write a hot and steamy romance and this is definately that. Dylan and Beth together have a scorching connection, can something so casual lead to more?

Mr. 8A must be the best looking man in the world with the way the flight attendants are chattering about him and when he arrives Beth has to stare. What she doesn't expect is for him to be staring back or for him to track her down when their flight is cancelled. Stranded due to weather, Dylan offers a proposition of dinner and sex, but only when Beth wants it. After a three year slump and overcoming her alcoholism, Beth hasn't had a man in quite a while and Dylan's offer is a hard one to refuse. One night soon becomes two and they have to ask themselves if fate has interfered.
The only thing better than cake is cake with a side of orgasms...
If that doesn't grab your attention then you're going to miss out. I was happily surprised by this book, definitely not what I expected and I think I've found a new author to add to my TBR list. Equal parts erotic and romantic, Indigo Nights tell the sexy story of baker Beth and her one night stand with wealthy Dylan. I genuinely enjoyed both characters, like all characters they had annoying tendencies, but otherwise Beth and Dylan were some of the most well rounded characters I have read in quite a while. Through dual POVs, Louise Bay builds up the character's backgrounds, their future plans, and their distinct differences. Then, with a style only romance writers have, she brings the two loveless souls together for some passionate one-night stand sex, that soon turns into nights two and three. While things moved quickly it didn't feel forced and came across very realistic. I have seen relationships form in just three days time, so the lust and emotions building between Dylan and Beth felt natural. With plenty of sex scenes, Louise Bay delivers an emotive romance story that will grab readers from the very start.
Indigo Nights is a standalone novel, however there are other couples in this novel that have their own series you can read as well. I did not read these and they did not take away from the overall story, however I will be picking them up.

3.75 Stars Louise Bay is a new author to me and I found myself enjoying the read. The story line of Indigo Nights is beautifully written sensual romance that grabbed me from the first chapter. The chemistry between the main characters jumps of the pages. Beth is a recovering alcoholic who fears are real and is written in a way that showed her strengths as well as her what she thought were her weaknesses. Dylan is a “man-whore” who possesses power, control, and dominated anything or anyone that he comes in contact with. Will Beth change his ways or will he crush her in the process?
I found the characters to develop throughout the story. Beth is passionate about those who she loves but her inner circle is very tight and there is only one person she trusts, her brother Jake. I found Beth to be at a believable character that I could relate to easily. She seems to replace alcohol with baking and is now stumbled upon a career with her hidden talent. Will the pressures of a career in the spotlight send her back to alcohol? Beth needs to find her triggers and manage them but she also needs to not fear living. Dylan has been crushed in the past and now he is a one-night stand kind of man. He comes across as handsome, powerful and sensual. I found that I liked Dylan more because he did fear relationships but due to a real reason not just because as some men do in life. His journey from the carefree “man-whore” to possibly something more was well written and inspiring. I loved how we saw his growth. Author Louise Bay has a gift for writing, she provides an emotional journey for Beth and Dylan to the reader that jumps off the pages and embeds the reader in another world. I look forward to reading more from her in the future.

I can tell you this is the first book I have read from Louise Bay but I assure you it won't be my last.
Much like Beth's baked goods in the story, Indigo Nights was a sweet, sexy, decadent treat. I was immediately drawn into Beth and Dylan's story from the get go. They first meet in first class, then when their flight is canceled, against her better judgment Beth lets Dylan charm her into bed for what they both assume is going to be a one night stand. But the attraction between them is too strong to resist and it soon leads to more.
The main characters are interesting and likable, their relationship moves quickly and the sex is spicy hot. The secondary characters provide some interesting back story. By the end of the story I was loudly cheering for a HEA for Dylan and Beth. This story did not disappoint.
I received an ARC fro net galley in return for an honest review.

I received this book via net galley Wow....this was really good, well written with a cast of great characters. Okay it was the usual rich hot guy meets beautiful girl but what elevated this story to being so good was that you wanted it all to work out for them due to the way they were both portrayed, both with pasts and problems but you just knew they were meant for each other, and the really hot sex scenes didn't go amiss either!
Thank you, a really enjoyable read

Lured in by the wonderfully romantic book cover, this NetGalley reviewer took a chance on this one. In the beginning, it was definitely pretty much just an erotic read. If you are looking for hot and steamy with little plot and lots of dirty talk, well, you’ve found it, folks. The main couple meets up a few times for some very graphic sexcapades. Fortunately, an actual plot does eventually begin to kick in.
The heroine is a baker about to land a TV show at the network the hero just bought. He’s a work alcoholic man-ho used to getting any woman he wants without even trying. She’s afraid of relationships after being hurt and is a recovering alcoholic. He simply doesn’t want to be tied to any woman after being dumped by a fiance who once chose money over him. She lives in London, btw, but travels to Chicago often, where he lives and she used to live.
So it is back and forth for both of them, because he also often travels to London, while they eventually start an actual, exclusive relationship. With the return of his conniving ex and the fall-out from his stupid mistake in not revealing he owns the station, this books ends with a pretty predictable HEA outcome.
To be honest, it felt like a longer version of an x-rated Harlequin novella. Yes, we wind up with a groveling hero and a romantic conclusion, but this reviewer had some issues with the presentation. I found parts of it to be crass, instead of romantic, and it took me some time to begin to like the arrogant hero. With that said, I did like elements of the romantic storyline.
You’ll have to decide for yourself if it is what you are looking for in your next romantic read. For this reviewer, it came across as a mostly average, steamy read that could have used a more in-depth plot.
Title: Indigo Nights, Author: Louise Bay, Pages: 231, stand-alone, frequent VERY steamy scenes, crass language at times, heroine is a recovering alcoholic.

This was my first book by Louise Bay but it definitely won't be my last. I loved Dylan and Beth. Now I must go back and read all of her other books :P

A gifted copy was provided by author/publisher via NetGalley for an honest review.

Beth meets Dylan aboard a flight from Chicago to London and at first it was only suppose to be a one night stand while the two waited for their canceled flight to be rescheduled. However, things quickly changed between the two when they meet up again at the airport. For several weeks after the two would meet either in Chicago or London and their feelings progressed rather quickly. What was supposed to be a one night stand turned into love.
I really liked this story, I have read other books by this author and this was just as good as the other ones. However, I did feel like the ending was rather abrupt and missing closure. The author left me wondering if their will be more to this story.

I was given a copy of this book by netgalley for an honest review.
I've been waiting a long time for this book, I remember reading the synopsis on Goodreads and thinking I've got to check out this book. So I was super excited to get a copy from Netgalley and I am very happy to say that I really enjoyed the story between Dylan and Beth. In first chapter Dylan comes off as hard ass player, but he redeems himself in no time. I really liked Beth's story and I overall liked how she dealt with things with one exception. I also like how Beth was strong without being in your face and over the top. As I said Dylan redeemed himself in my eyes in no time, and I really liked him and how he treated Beth. I was very sad to realize that the end of this story was coming, not because it didn't feel complete, but more because I really enjoying the characters and I didn't want it to end. I am definitely going to check out Louise Bay's other stories.

I always feel a little naught when I pick up a book that's been labelled as erotica. To me that genre used to mean a book full of sex but no proper substance. I have now changed my mind.
Beth was a very likeable character. Strong woman with a weak past. She knows what she wants and really seem to be the more grown up person in the story.
Dylan started off as an arrogant I-am-your-love-god kind of guy, but soon turned out to be the more romantic of the too. He turned a little too quickly for me - I was expecting him to play a little more hard-to-get character.
Both characters had a sad story in the past that shaped them into who there were when they met and thanks to those good back stories the book was made more believable.
I always look at books I can relate too, that I can believe in. characters should be easy to imagine and the paths they take should be natural and I think this books ticks the boxes.
This is a quick read romance well told I Louise Bay is an another I will look out for. And as I love baking too it was just a little more personal.

3.5 stars
Predictable and full of cheese BUT hot as hell with well developed characters
Indigo Nights uses the same formula as The Empire State Trilogy, which worked really well for me. Now while I thought this was hot and I loved both Dylan and Beth, parts of this dragged and the urge to skip ahead was high.
I can't fault the writing; the people or the whole idea but for me it was missing that extra bit of excitement. A bit of drama or angst was needed. It didn't even have to be anything major - just something to keep the reader really infested in the story and the pages turning.

If you are looking for a dreamy hot alpha male billionaire story, look no further!
First off, I absolutely love, love my new book boyfriend Dylan James. He is so a hot, dirty talking, super sweet, caring, and head over heels, in too deep to realize. Well, he did have a few issues by not telling the complete truth, but you have to give him a break as he did admit he was new to relationships.
I am having a love/hate relationship with Beth. After being burned and becoming an alcoholic, she has some issues, which is understandable. Many trust issues plus she went way too far and held my baby Dylan to a higher standard than anyone else. She wasn't as forgiving and didn't even tell him her deepest secret even after she admitted she was wrong too. grrr! And what woman can really eat that much cake??? We wish! lol
For as the author, I absolutely love her writing and the love story that she had to tell. This story was super hot with solid characters you can really connect with. I couldn't put this book down even though my irritation level really got high during towards the end. The story has a typical twist where you know something is going to happen to break these two apart. I knew it was coming and I didn't want to read it. That's how connected I was with the characters. I guess that's a good thing but knowing that there is a happy ever after coming I dealt with it and loved most of the ending.
This is the first book I've read by Louise Bay but I already went and download another book series by her because I really, really enjoyed this story. For a different and unique twist on a billionaire story, this is one author to watch and get involved with her stories.

Dylan and Beth both have been hurt in the past and are wary of relationship. Dylan focusing on his work and Beth focusing on her sobriety. Will these two be able to move past their previous heartbreak and find love in each other’s arms? These is a wonderfully romantic read with plenty of drama, I really liked both characters and the story has plenty of steam. The chemistry between Dylan and Beth is hot. A wonderful romantic read.

I really liked this book. https://s2.netgalley.com/catalog/publishersThis was the first book by Louise Bay that I read and I immediately went back and bought two more of her books! I liked how the relationship between Beth and Dylan developed from a one-night stand to a true relationship. I also liked that it addressed alcoholism and that the heroine was the alcoholic., This was the first time I read a romance novel with the heroine being the alcoholic. Overall, an excellent read and extremely steamy!

I thought that this was hot and steamy! Mr. 8A! Yeah he sounded stern and rigid at first, but it worked for him. Dylan is a playbook and rich at that. Beth has had issues in the past. She is a strong character and funny too. This as a good read and not bad either. It had just the right amount on angst.
I received this ARC from the publisher via Net Galley!

I absolutely loved this book, what more could you want than a hot man who loves a woman that eats cake!!! From the moment I picked up my kindle I was blown away by the chemistry between Dylan "Mr 8a" hot sexy businessman and Beth goddess of all things sweet and sugary goodness. Beth is described to be 50's style glamorous with long black hair putting me in mind of a mixture of Dita Von Teese and cooking icon Nigella Lawson.
Exciting read with some very hot sexy moments, Louise Bay's writing is so magical that she knows how to draw you into a story and make you want it never to end.
This book is so good I would quite happily read it over again and still want more.

Okay, Just Wow. Indigo Nights is a wild, sensual, romance ride. Dylan James and Beth Harrison could be one of my favorite literary hookups of the year. For a second I thought it might be too crude...okay, half a second, or a split second -then I decided it is a wonderful contemporary story of two passionate people. Warning: cake and orgasms ahead.. The characters are well developed and the turn of the story was surprising to me. Louise Bay just became one of my favorite authors and I believe that means she's in good company. Loved. It. Big. Time.

Louise Bay had me at cake!! Beth is a recovering alcoholic who loves to bake. Dylan is a billionaire who's heart is frozen until fate would have them sit next to each other on a plane. I liked that Bay made sure Beth addressed her alcoholism with Dylan and it stayed as a thread through out the whole book. I freaking loved that Dylan was always willing to eat cake or desserts with Beth, since that is my favorite thing ever. The road to love is never easy, but Bay does it with style and believably.

Thanks to Net Galley and Louise Bay for the free advance copy. I am sorry that i didn't start this book sooner-but I was a bit backlogged. Wow what a fun ride!!! Not for anyone under 18! It has a wild beginning and it doesn't really slow down. This is fiction so why not make it fun and crazy...Dylan and Beth are a fun couple. Great read and I will definitely look for other books by Louise Bay. Give this book a try.

Well, well, well… I didn’t knew the Author, Louise Bay, but let me say that after reading Indigo Nights, I’ll definitely look for more of her books.
Cakes + Orgasms = Love story This book gave me a few hours of happiness, with the perfect mix of the best recipes: steamy scenes, sexiness, pastries, love, a little of angst and the cherry on the cake: I didn’t want the story to end when I reached the last page.
From the beginning, I love the storyline, the succession of events, the characters.
Beth is recovering but she’ll find out that she’s strong.
Dylan is a “manwhore” because of his scars, but he’ll find himself again with his Beth.
This story could have been really cheesy, but it was so well handed, so well written, with the best recipes, the perfect baking and cooking time, this only could end with an excellent taste, a really good cake
I you want an easy reading and a great writing, and having a really good time, this is book is for you.
I’d really like to thank the author for the story.

This is the first book I’ve read from Louise Bay and I have to say, it was a fun read. What’s not to like about great chemistry and cake? Just like a yummy dessert, Beth and Dylan were sweet, sinful and totally scrumptious together.
If I’m being completely honest, things between Dylan and Beth happened a little too quickly in beginning for me. It’s on a flight from Chicago to London were they first meet. I hadn’t exactly fallen for Dylan at that point or even gotten a glimpse of what he was hiding under that douchebag façade when she fell into his bed. Like Beth, I tried to take their first encounter for what it was – just a little fun. With no expectations, there’s no disappointment.
“Darlin', I told you I was going to make you see stars.”
It wasn’t until I got a deeper understanding of their baggage and motives that I found myself rooting for them to take the next step. Beth found her passion for baking after making the decision to get sober three years prior and Dylan sort of accepted that relationships weren’t for him after being dumped by his fiancé. But there was no denying that things between Dylan and Beth were different for both of them. They had a spark that made sense and I got it. I saw it, I felt it and I didn’t want it to end.
If you indulge in steamy romance novels, I highly recommend this book. It’s incredibly hot, low on the drama scale and the desserts only added to the fun. And Dylan! Sweet, sexy, supportive and always willing to order dessert - what else could a girl ask for?

Great freaking book! I loved it! Wow! I haven't read this author before, but I am glad I picked this one! I want to read more from her now!
Everything was good and I don't know where to start. Dylan was a charming, sexy, good looking, sweet, kind hearted sex god. He really doesn't start out that much of a jerk like most boy meets girl. I thought he was sweet and he sure wanted her to feel good. He really cared for Beth right from the start. He was upfront and honest about everything. I like his determination to stay away from his ex too. He was upfront about everything but one thing...it bites him. I loved him from the start and I liked that I didn't have to not like myself for it because he wasn't a douche at first!
Beth, what a strong woman. She has overcome a great deal and is going strong. Being a recovering alcoholic and staying sober is a very difficult thing to do. She did it and finally got comfortable in her own shoes! I like that the new Beth knew what she wants and is secure in her sexuality. I admire her in so many ways. She did have her short comings in that she didn't trust her gut feelings and wanted to abandon ship at times. I am glad she had good friends that put her right! I loved Beth!
Wonderful wonderful story! Go read it!!
Received an advanced copy from the publisher through NetGalley for a honest review

Delicious!
Beth is a YouTube baker that's in Chicago for a business trip. She's been offered a TV spot. Dylan is a business man who owns several companies. What will come after a passionate one night stand?
I can say with total honesty that I loved this book.
Let a begin with the story. We follow two strangers that meet on a fly from London to Chicago. They end up sleeping together and finally getting to know each other.
She's a YouTube baker (a baking guru?), and recovering alcoholic that's about to get a television slot. He owns companies, buys broke one's and fix them before selling them.
As far as I can see, they have nothing in common. But the chemistry is amazing. Both characters are very well defined and presented. I found myself caring for them, and connecting with them.
The secondary characters were also incredible. I want to know more about them. The way they interact with the main characters is very natural and it doesn't feel forced. It's not like "let me just talk about the story". We get a real conversation and real people. I enjoy that in a book.
And finally, the steamy bits....
well, let's just say Mr. A8 can call me any time. They were great, didn't felt cheap or fake.
4/5 stars for me.

I was grateful to recieve a free. Opy of Indigo Nights. What a great read. I loved Beth and Dylan from the beginning. The chemistry was there, and the storyline kept moving. Overall, great book, and one I would recommend.

I saw this book blurb, it looked pretty steamy. I didn't know that it was another billionaire meets beautiful poor girl story. Honey, let me take you away from all this.... yeah yeah. No, it's not that. I read on. It was a billionaire hunky guy alright. But the girl/woman was not poor. I couldn't get how she made her money. Beth flies 1st class London to Chicago & back countless times. She's moving up from YouTube baker sensation to having her own TV cooking show. I guess this is book 3 in a sorta series. Beth's brother Jake made some bucks in the previous books that I didn't read. Yet. Maybe. There's some (a lot of) sparks between Beth and Dyan when they first meet. Then Beth acts like she couldn't care less. But she does. She's just focused on staying sober. She had a bad relationship & break up when she was at her alcoholic- lowest. Dylan is wary too. These two beautiful people had been dumped on. The POV is 1st person alternating Beth, then Dylan, which I really liked. I'm a reader that doesn't mind internal dialogue. It was done in small doses & really moved the story along. I saw this book on my friend seton's shelf. She mentioned Ms Bay's heroines being major pains, or something like that. I was little frustrated with Beth. I loved how independent she was. Beth and Dylan had smokin' hot sex. She would then take off almost like she couldn't be bothered . She was aloof, but would tell Dylan (and herself) how much she wanted to be with him. She was afraid of getting hurt again. I get it. Dylan was very sweet to Beth. The first 40% or so was each telling the other that this was just casual- but exclusive. Beth lived in London and Dylan lived in Chicago. Beth flew back & forth Chicago to London. She baked cakes. She ate cakes- every chance she got.
There was a little ow drama I really liked the way Dylan handled the ow. Beth waffled a lot re her reaction to the ow (Dylan's ex). Another h frustrating moment for me. There was a great ("sweet") grovel from Dylan. I thought that Beth milked it a bit much. Talking to each other would have helped! Beth came around- thank the lord + she wised up in time. The ending was short but cute. Very short epilogue. My first book by this author. Reminds me, a little, of Raine Miller.

3.5 Stars – Great Cover!

This is the first book I have read by Louise Bay and was really pleased how fast past and interesting the story turned out. Both characters were well written with plenty of steamy scenes albeit a bit cheesy at times. I noticed no grammatical errors.
H/h meet on an airline flight and instant sparks fly which leads to a one-night stand that becomes much more. The chemistry and plot was believable and not at all contrived. If you’re looking for a quick sweet story without a lot of angst, this is it.

5 Fabulous Friggin Fantastic KINKS!!! Louise Bay, you have a new fangirl!
I’m looking for Mr. 8A in the middle of the day with a flashlight! Where is he? If I have to purchase an airline ticket from Chicago to London, I will find this man!
I made the mistake of starting this book at 9pm with the intent to read the first (5) chapters. Big Mistake! This book was definitely worth the hangover the next day from lack of sleep. This is the must read book of the year yet!
Simply, I freaking loved it! I knew from the first chapter I was going to be immersed into this story. I love the struggle Beth has learned to live with. It brings a depth to the story that makes Dylan appreciates Beth and wants her more than casual sex. A man doesn’t fly to London as a surprise so he can travel with you back to Chicago for a casual hook-up. (okay, you can swoon now)
It’s magical, dirty, real and erotic with a side of orgasms. Who needs chocolate? This is truly a great substitute as well. You will not be able to control the increase heart rate, the sense of euphoria, the tingling sensation and the ultimate wave of pleasure. Hear what I am NOT saying.
For personal reasons, I am very partial to lovers meeting at the airport, on a flight, or vacationing on a tropical island. This story hits all my Must Read Buttons:
Meet cute on a flight in first class (economy is boring right!)
Rich, sexy and cocky alpha male, who knows it and can have any woman he likes without any effort, traveling for business (Hot Billionaire Alert)
Kick-ass heroine who refuses to fall for his game…easily (wink wink)
The writing is effortless. The words flow like a seamless transition from each characters POV. Beth Harrison meets Dylan James on a flight from Chicago to London. She is checking out Mr. 8A as he settles into his seat. Even when he catches her ogling him, she doesn’t shy away that she likes what she sees. Then the fate of cupid produces a storm that cancels their flight.
The perfect opportunity for a “One Night Stand” The sex scenes were phenomenal. Mr. 8A was looking for his next “lay” and what he found was the “f*ck of his life”. I apologize for being so crude with my words, but really…. sometimes “one-night stand” does not do the deed justice.
I love the kick-ass attitude Beth portrays. She is on the verge of becoming the next big thing in the Cooking world. Even though she has been out of the dating game for years, she knows how to appreciate a beautiful man with a hot piece of “sticky buns” and enjoy the perks of the hot dirty sex.
And Dylan James? I am still looking for you!!

These two people meet in an airport, there is a strong chemistry, they sleep together. A one night stand turns into a three night stand, which eventually turns into something even more. Feelings develop and living on two different continents, they have to find a way to make it work for them. Honesty and trust is important in any relationship, but especially in this one. This story sucked me in. I had difficulty putting it down until the couple found their happy ending. They changed each other's lives. She was different then any other woman. He treated her differently, but yet knew what she needed. There were steamy sex scenes and a couple with a strong chemistry and connection with one another. This was a good read and I enjoyed it.

From the moment Dylan sees Beth, he is sure that he wants her. Beth is a little more reserved, having been hurt by a previous boyfriend when she needed him most. But there is something about Dylan that makes her want to take a chance. Between living in different countries and Dylan's persistent ex-fiance, Beth and Dylan have many obstacles to overcome if they want to be in it for the long haul. Definitely 5 stars!!

This was a great read and the characters in this books were really great! Starting with Beth - I LIKED that she had flaws and she wasn't a "perfect" and "innocent" woman. Dylan was also great, but did keep some secrets from Beth. Overall, I liked how Beth had to decide she had to do what was best for herself and what made her happy. Great read (and the author made me want to eat cake during the entire book!)

Dylan and Beth were great they had wonderful chemistry the book had everything in it a great story line the characters both had a lot of issues that weighed them down and brought them problems but I loved it

This is the first book I have read by Louise Bay. Honestly, I'm not sure where I stand with this one. I had to press myself to get through it. I almost gave up at about the 48% mark. And decided to continue since obviously other reviewers seemed to see something I didn't and some books don't hit their stride until late in the game, although those are generally continuing serials. That said, this book carried the same tone throughout the book. With the exception of that one relatively predictable upheaval toward the end, there were no highs and lows or inbetweens... it was flat. The characters were one dimensional exception being Jake (maybe). This book needs to be classed as YA because it seems more suited to that audience... where cake and insta love seems to rule the day.
Redemptively the author writes a great note at the end of the book about alcoholism and it's devastating effects, which for the sake of her story she emphasizes, she did not go down that road.. I give her some serious applause for that commentary.
