A story about a small book club that is thrown for a loop when a new member arrives and asks what they would do if they had to write their next chapter. It makes them all question where they are and what they want. Excellent characters and an interesting.storyline.

Change is hard and scary, and Erin is starring at a lot of it all at once. Used to handling everything on her own, when challenges arise, Erin thinks she needs to carry the weight all on her shoulders. There is not a whole lot of romance in this story as much as it is a story of learning and growing through life's twists and turns. Erin has a solid family through her Last Page book club, The Bookmark Cafe, and her son. Newcomer Adam, throws Erin off balance. And as each person confronts the changes in their lives and writing the vision for their last pages of life, the support this found family provides each other is outstanding. The growth of each character and the renewed outlook on where they want to see their life go is inspirational. Adam's last pages was chef's kiss, something we all should strive for!
I loved the premise of a book club that reads the last page first to gauge interest in the book their reading. Thank you to NetGalley, the author, and publisher for an arc of The Last Page Cafe in exchange for an honest review. I think people of all ages could read this book and take away pieces of great wisdom on outlooks of life and how to navigate on how life can pivot. 3.5 ⭐

I enjoyed that they read the last page first in their book club, as I sometimes read the last page first too.
I liked all of these characters and how they rallied together to save the cafe and keep their book club going.
Erin is going through a lot and finds solace in her book club friends.
We see everyone going through different things during different phases of their lives and how they still lean on each other and help them through it.
I loved this setting. I wanted to be at the cafe and involved in this book club.
A great cozy read.

I liked the emphasis on changes and different phases of life. I am always happy to read a book about an older FMC. I however COULD NEVER read the last page of a book before reading the whole thing, so I think this wasn’t a book made for me because I just fundamentally can’t get behind spoilers. However it was a good read.
