Description

Pinkie was born bright pink in a herd of gray elephants—and no one knew why. Teased for looking different, she often played alone in the jungle.

But when the herd’s leader, Edwin, falls into danger, it’s Pinkie’s bright color that helps the others find their way through the dark jungle to rescue him. Her difference becomes her strength—and saves the day.

Read along for a heartwarming tale about courage, kindness, and how what makes us different can light the way for everyone.

Advance Praise

"My girls are loving this story. Both under five, they’re a great match for Pinkie the Pink Elephant. We started it about two weeks ago, and they’ve requested it five times since then. They are both cognizant of mistreatment on the playground, and they know what it feels like to be included. This book hits them in the feels but also provides an immersive jungle setting and cutely illustrated characters who live there." - Independent Book Review

"Pinkie the Pink Elephant by George J. Linsenmeyer III has a really lovely message about how being different is a benefit to ourselves and to others. The writing uses gentle repetition and read-aloud-friendly dialogue that suits younger listeners. [...] Artsoluki’s illustrations are exceptional, and this is where the book truly shines. I cannot praise the artwork highly enough, and it is totally reminiscent of Disney's Golden Age of animation. Artsoluki's work is spectacular in its expressive faces, glowing jungle scenes, and warm visual storytelling. " - Reader's Favorite
