Great spice, flirty banter, perfect setting, this has it all! I enjoyed The Demon's Kiss and especially how Ash was able to imagine and describe a world I could get lost in. Reading is such a break for me, and if it is for you, this will take your mind off the day-to-day and entrap you in a new world that works for this novel! Thanks to NetGalley for the ARC.

The Demon’s Kiss pulled me in from the very first chapter and refused to let go. The story blends dark fantasy, forbidden tension, and high stakes in a way that feels addictive and immersive. The world is rich with danger and temptation, and every scene carries that delicious edge of “this could go very wrong very fast.”
The two leads are magnetic, flawed, powerful, and constantly circling each other with a mix of distrust, desire (yes it’s steamy!!), and unspoken vulnerability. Their chemistry is intense without ever overshadowing the plot, and every interaction adds another layer to the emotional tension.
The magic system is intriguing, the pacing sharp, and the atmosphere thick with secrets and shadows. I loved how the story balances action with character driven moments, making the emotional beats hit just as hard as the twists.
Dark, seductive, and beautifully written, an easy 5 star read for anyone who loves fantasy with teeth.

This is such a good read. The chemistry between Violet and rath is amazing 🤩 this has just the right about of twists and steaminess.

This was a very well-written book from start to finish. It pulled me in from the beginning, with her mundane life, her dreams, and the demon all creating an immediate sense of intrigue. Throughout the story, her thoughts and emotions were expressed extremely well, and I was never quite sure whether he was simply using her or if he genuinely cared for her, which kept me invested.
The descriptions of the scenery were vivid, and the symbolic connections between nature and the human world were cleverly woven into the story. There was always an underlying sense of danger, which added tension throughout. I also thought the author did an excellent job of showing that human personalities and behaviours remain remarkably similar across different cultures.
Emotionally, the book was a rollercoaster. I found myself questioning many of her decisions while still feeling her anguish and understanding her motivations. The story kept me wanting to read just one more chapter.
The book is very sexual, but it fits the themes and storyline rather than feeling unnecessary or distracting. The content sertves a purpose within the narrative and character development.
I would definitely recommend this book, although it is not suitable for younger readers due to its mature content. It has been one of my favourite reads of the year so far, and one that will stay with me for quite some time.

The Demon’s Kiss by Scarlett Ash is a wonderful romance novel that earns four out of five stars. This is the author's very first published work, a dark, magical love story that is just as gripping as her famous online fiction, which is already very famous.

The highlight of the book is the powerful attraction between the leads and the fascinating fantasy world. Ash is excellent at building a deep connection between the main characters that feels risky yet romantic. The plot uses fan-favourite ideas like destiny and dark magic to build a moody, emotional atmosphere. The characters feel very real, which makes it easy to care about their journey.

The plot flows quickly and holds your attention with plenty of passion and great twists. The only minor flaw is that some of the fantasy explanations feel a bit repetitive during the middle section.

Even so, the smooth writing and intense emotions make it a highly enjoyable read. Fans of her web stories will love seeing her format change into a proper book, and the happy ending (no pun intended). Thanks for the ARC!

The Demon's Kiss is seductive, sensually tense, and darkly romantic writing. It has a rich fairytale structure grown up with gothic notes and tinged with sinuous darkness. While this book is grounded in fantasy, it heavily leans into its romantic roots of fated mates, touch-her-and-die tension, and intimate open-door scenes. Violet and Rath's visceral and primal sexual tension is instant and incredibly intoxicating. It's impossible to not feel their lustful attraction and connection. Rath is the new standard for dark and dangerous book boyfriends (or demon, in his case). The story's writing and pacing is different than I expected, and I did need to pay close attention so I didn't miss important details. This wasn't a detractor for me, instead it caused me to lean a bit closer to the text as I was swept away by the demon world, cloaked in shadowy mystery, unlike any I've ever read before.

The Demon’s Kiss by Scarlett Ash had me completely hooked from the very first chapter and didn’t let go. It’s such an addictive mix of dark fantasy, danger, and forbidden romance, with a constant feeling that things could spiral at any moment.

Violet starts off with a pretty ordinary life, but that quickly changes when this mysterious demon starts invading her dreams, and then her reality. I loved how the story kept me guessing; I was never quite sure if Rath was using her, or if he actually cared, which made it impossible to put this book down. Violet’s emotions felt very real, and even when I questioned her choices, I still understood them.

The chemistry between Violet and Rath is unreal!!! It's intense, complicated, and full of tension. There’s this perfect balance of distrust, desire, and vulnerability, which blended together so seamlessly and made their connection that much more intense. The steamy moments added to their connection rather than taking over the story, and Rath is exactly the kind of dark, dangerous love interest that will make you swoon so hard.

Scarlett's writing is rich and atmospheric, with vivid descriptions and subtle symbolism woven throughout. The whole world feels shadowy and dangerous, and I loved that underlying sense of tension flowing beneath the surface. It’s paced really well too, with enough action and twists to keep things moving, whilst still very character-driven.

It’s definitely a mature read, but the darker themes and romance are handled in a way that feels purposeful. Overall, it’s a dark, seductive, and really immersive story that’s stayed with me, easily one of my favourite reads this year!! 🥰

The demons kiss by Scarlett Ash had me completely hooked from the first page. It has a mix of dark fantasy, forbidden romance and danger.

Violet lives a pretty mundane life but that quickly changes as a mysterious demon starts to visit her and invade her dreams. Even though her feelings about Rath are true she originally didn’t think it was real. That all changed when one night she agreed to join him in the demon world for 30 days and if she wants to stay with him, she must seal the deal with a single kiss.

Their chemistry is intense, complicated and brimmed with tension. That on top of the steamy sexual tension added to their growing connection.

Scarlett’s writing is fast paced, rich and atmospheric with clear descriptions of the world set out throughout the book. While this is a dark fantasy with hints of gothic aspects it has some of my favourite tropes, fated mates and touch her a die vibes.

The only criticism I have is that format that was sent to me wasn’t great. I did have to guess a few words and that made it harder and slower to read but this is an eARC copy and does not affect my view on the story and how well it was written.

The Demon's Kiss had an interesting premise and I think Scarlett Ash executed it wonderfully. It's atmospheric and mystery but also sexy as hell. You won't want to put this one down, especially readers who love monsters. The chemistry between Violet and Rath was intense. Talk about sizzling hot and seductive! I had a lot of fun with the romance (and the spice) plus the world was unique.

I binged this book. Its a fun easy read. Focussed more on spice than character development. Definitely not a slow burn but I loved it.

I was completely pulled into this book from the very first chapter. The chemistry between Violet and Rath is absolutely immaculate, packed with so much tension, and it was so seductive and sexy. This is the kind of book that is so easy to get lost in.

I think my favourite thing about this book is that it focuses on the love story between Violet and Rath. The fight for Rath to regain his rightful throne was going in the background but wasn’t the main part of the story, the plot was more character driven and I loved that. I felt that I really got to know both Violet and Rath and feel the angst that Violet felt as she struggles to make a decision. That Rath called Violet, Nightflower was positively dreamy, I did feel for him as he did everything he could to convince Violet to choose him, he deserved to be chosen. I enjoyed the demon realm it was like our world but darker, that somehow made it even more beautiful. Rath’s brother Kaelith was amusing, I look forward to seeing more of his in his own book. I really enjoyed reading this book, it was a very romantic read and I look forward to seeing what the rest of the series brings.

Holy moly i ate this book like i was starving , i started this and lets just say i didnt put it down till i was finished . The Demon's Kiss was such a great Paranormal Romance , i loved every delicious mouth watering second . I had such a great time reading this .

Now this book was fabulous , but oh my is it tantalising . Im here for it . My gosh Rath is a demon starved and Violet is his meal . Wow wow wow .I loved that this is a interconnected standalone , im already sat waiting for for book 2 .Give me more please .hehe

From the very first chapter you get heat almost an insta love situation, Vilote is mesmerized by this Demon who keeps showing up in her dreams and giving her the most delicious pleasure. Violet has been struggling in her real life feeling stuck and like something is missing.

What happens next is she gets to join her Demon 😈 in his world and of course she quickly finds out that the grass is not greener on the other side.

This book has lots of spice 🌶️🌶️🌶️ I would have loved a bit more background on Violets life previously to her meeting Rath but I still enjoyed the book.

The fact that this is her debut novel?! Round of applause! I will absolutely be reading more from this author because WOW… this was freaking good!

This was a solid 4.75-star (Rounded up) read for me, and I genuinely did not want to put it down. I really loved the development between Violet and Rath. The way their connection unfolded was such a cool and unique take on demons entering the human world.

And let’s be honest… who doesn’t love a fated mate and an MMC who is possessive, obsessive, and completely, unapologetically in love with his FMC? 🔥 And the spice?! HOT.

If I had one small critique, it would be the middle portion of the story. I found myself expecting a little more-more risk, suspense, or something to really keep me on the edge of my seat. That element was fairly minimal for me, but honestly, it didn’t take away from how much I enjoyed the overall story.

And that dinner announcement and what happens afterward in front of EVERYONE?! HILARIOUS. HOT. I was absolutely living for it!

Overall, this was such a fun read, and for a debut novel, Scarlett Ash absolutely knocked it out of the park. I can’t wait to see what she writes next!

I loved the contrast between the dangerous, terrifying underworld and the surprisingly sweet relationship growing between Violet and Rath. Give me demon bargains, dark romance, a protective monster of a love interest, and enough spice to make the underworld feel appropriately hot.

Dark, romantic, a little unhinged, and exactly the kind of demon problem I support.

Sexy, devilish, and absolutely demonic in the best way. I devoured this in one sitting. Can't wait to see what else this author does!

The Demon’s Kiss was an absolutely addictive read and one I found incredibly difficult to put down. Dark, seductive and packed with paranormal romance, this had so many of the things I love in a book.

Every night, Violet dreams about Rath, her seven-foot-tall, dark-haired demon lover. Their encounters feel incredibly real, yet every morning Violet wakes believing he exists only in her dreams. There is also one very important rule between them: despite being able to touch, Rath refuses to kiss her.

Everything changes when Rath offers Violet the opportunity to leave her ordinary life behind and spend thirty days with him in the demon realm. At the end of those thirty days, one kiss could mean choosing to remain by his side forever.

I loved the relationship between Violet and Rath. Their chemistry is fantastic, with plenty of tension, flirtatious banter and spice, but there is also a surprisingly sweet side to their connection that made me really root for them. Rath definitely delivers on the possessive, touch-her-and-die energy, while Violet is a heroine I enjoyed following as she discovers that the demon realm is far more complicated and dangerous than she could have imagined.

The underworld setting added another layer to the story for me. It was dark, atmospheric and dangerous, providing a brilliant contrast to the romance developing between Violet and Rath. The fated-mates element worked really well alongside the darker romance, and I loved discovering more about Rath and his world as the story progressed.

This was exactly the kind of paranormal romance I can happily lose myself in. Demons, danger, fated mates, spice, possessiveness and a romance that kept me completely invested from beginning to end. An easy 5/5 read for me, and Rath has definitely earned himself a place amongst my favourite supernatural love interests.

This would have been a five star read if I was eighteen but being the old af age that I am, I had a rough time with the writing. It was geared toward a way younger adult age group BUUUTTTT, I still had fun. I was hoping this would feel like Kiss of a Basilisk meets like an eighties bodice ripper with the steamy instalust.. and it did but not with the maturity of the FMCs thoughts. I absolutely ate up Rath and the total simp that he was! His devotion made this a four star for sure. Theres a lot of good stuff in here with the world building and political intrigue. Shoot, I even enjoyed the other woman drama that was indeed drama filled. Again, if I was eighteen reading this, I would have absolutely loved it.. but it did hit the spot.

There is something about a demon romance with gothic vibes, fated mates and a dangerously devoted MMC that will get me every single time, and The Demon’s Kiss definitely knew how to tempt me.

Violet’s ordinary life contrasts beautifully with the dark, seductive demon realm she discovers through Rath. I really enjoyed the almost fairytale feeling of the story, especially the idea that what begins in her dreams slowly becomes something very real, and much more dangerous.

And Rath? Yeah… he was absolutely the highlight for me. Mysterious, powerful, possessive, completely obsessed with Violet, but at the same time surprisingly tender with her. I particularly liked that underneath all that darkness, Violet still has a choice. The romance plays with fate and belonging, but her decision matters, which made their dynamic much more interesting to me.

Their chemistry is INTENSE, and the spice is definitely spicing. 🌶️🔥 But I also wanted a little more emotional development between them outside of that attraction. There were moments where the lack of communication became frustrating, and I think a few more honest conversations would have made me believe in their connection even more.

The middle also slowed down for me. I loved being inside the demon realm, but I kept waiting for the danger and larger plot to really explode. When things finally started moving, I wanted more time with those elements rather than having some of the most interesting conflict happen so quickly.

Still, this was such an atmospheric and addictive read. Dark romance, demons, obsession, gothic fairytale vibes, a heroine trying to understand what she actually wants, and a demon who is basically ready to worship the ground she walks on.

Was it perfect for me? No.

Did Rath make a very convincing argument for ignoring red flags when they come with horns? Unfortunately, yes. 😂🔥

A really promising start to the series, and I’m definitely curious to see where Scarlett Ash takes this world next.

e Demon’s Kiss was absolutely addictive! I was hooked by the whole demon lover premise and loved being pulled into Violet and Rath’s dark, delicious world. The Hades and Persephone vibes, fated mates, forbidden attraction and all that delicious tension were right up my street.

And Rath… that man is seriously dangerous and ridiculously swoony! 🖤🔥 The chemistry between him and Violet was 🔥 and I loved the demon realm and gothic atmosphere.

I just finished reading The Demon's Kiss by Scarlett Ash, and oh my! This is a good one. Set in the underworld, Ash's novel features characters you'll love and some you'll hate. It all starts in a nightmare, where the FMC has recurring visits from a demon. Her lonely life and the job she hates leave her looking forward to sleep, where she can enjoy the demon's company, even if only in her dreams. One night, in a dream, she agrees to spend a month in the Underworld with her demon, thinking it's probably part of the dream. The Underworld is not the happiest of places (think Greek mythology's Persephone and the classic story of Beauty and the Beast). The spice and getting to know her demon keep her occupied. The angst, her pending decision, and their developing story kept me turning pages into the wee hours of the morning. I'm ready for the sequel. Bring on The Demon's Claim, which is set to be released in October 2026.

I absolutely loved this. It was dark, beautiful, and completely captivating. The yearning and the chemistry between Rath and Violet were so good.
I absolutely loved the setting of the demon realm it was so ethereal, dark and mysterious yet hauntingly beautiful.

I really didn’t like Nithe she gave bitter mean girl vibes, i adored Kael and Violet’s relationship and how he were keeping her company so she wasn’t alone, I’m super excited for book 2 for his story eek!! Beelzebub is actually adorable omg! I absolutely love when there are pet characters. The last few chapters had me on the edge of my seat, completely invested and desperately rooting for Rath, he deserves all the happiness! Also the throne room scenes iykyk😭

I really enjoyed Scarlet’s writing style. It usually takes me a few chapters to get into third-person narration, but I found myself settling into this one really quickly.

This is a perfect read for autumn/spooky season.

I really enjoyed Violet as a main character. One thing that stood out to me was her insecurity about herself. She doesn't always see herself the way others see her, and I think that's something so many of us can relate to. That feeling of wondering, “Why would someone choose me?” or questioning whether we're enough can be incredibly real, and I appreciated seeing those insecurities become part of Violet's journey. It made her feel more relatable and human, even in a story filled with demons and a completely different world.

And then there's Rath. He's mysterious, powerful, possessive, and exactly the kind of dangerous demon who makes you understand why Violet has such a hard time resisting him. The chemistry between the two of them is intense from the beginning, and I loved the push and pull between attraction, uncertainty, and trust.

The demon realm was another part I really enjoyed. It had a dark, gothic atmosphere that made the story feel like a seductive fairytale with a much darker edge. There were secrets, danger, and enough uncertainty to keep me wondering where the story was going.

Spice Level: 🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️️ If you're looking for spice, this definitely delivers! The intimate scenes are explicit and plentiful, and the chemistry between Violet and Rath makes them fit naturally into the story rather than feeling completely separate from the romance.

Overall, The Demon’s Kiss was an addictive, dark, sexy romantasy with a compelling premise, a demon romance, a beautifully dark setting, and plenty of spice. Definitely recommend it to readers who enjoy dark romantasy, demon book boyfriends, fated mates, gothic vibes, and VERY spicy romance.

This one was super spicy from the very beginning it hooked with spice. The dinner scene was by far my favorite !
I felt the Violet (FMC) was a bit naive for her age and though I understand that was kinda the point in some instance ; others were like okay come on you shouldn't really be asking that. Rath (MMC) was a well written mysterious demon, whereas she was very naive and almost immature for her age. Urador was a decent protagonist but fell a little flat could have used a little more involvement & a bigger part to give the story more plot. Overall it was a good storyline, just could have used a little more plot thickening to it to make a solid 5 stars.

I would say this book is less fantasy, more paranormal romance because there are not many fantastical elements outside of the demons and demon realm itself. Which is essentially just a dark city. This book is simply a good time, not a grand adventure with high stakes, or an epic fantasy. It is almost entirely centered on the romance aside from the time spent on the FMCs inability to know what she wants. Rath is a lover boy/demon, and Violet should have made her damn mind up far sooner because he didn’t deserve to be left wondering like he was! Like girl, you know those folks on earth don’t care about you! Stay with your man! I get wanting to give Violet her little self-care/self-love arc but I feel like something more fun and fresh could have been done there!
