Fantasy novel fans will love this.. I really enjoyed this novel. From the very first page I was hooked and I kept reading until the end as I wanted to know what happened.. I loved the author's writing style and the pacing was just right. I highly recommend it and I look forward to reading more by the author.

A queen with no memory of who she is or what has happened. The mysterious circumstances are what drew me to the story and held my attention. The magic is alive through the pages.

When I saw the description for this book I was excited to read it! When I saw there were Vampyrs too? Sold!

Our FMC Liv wakes up in an unfamiliar place only to find out reality is not what she thought it was! The beginning of the story was a little slower as we go between realities but as we progress through it begins to pick up!

The Vampyr king Cedric is the powerful ruler of the kingdom of Lux where Liv finds herself. Not only does she have no memory of her life here but also no memory of the fact she is meant to be the future queen alongside Cedric.

As Liv works to try and learn her truths there is some rising tension and yearning between herself and a certain Vampyr, I do love when yearning boils over into some spice scenes too 🌶

That's not the only tension in the story though, with war brewing between Lux and another kingdom. Ivy does a great job as the story goes on of making you question everything, like Who can be trusted? Who can't? Who's being deceitful?

The second half of the book really picks up on the action front as secrets and schemes are revealed. It was so fast paced leading up to the end, I'm looking forward to seeing where the story goes next!!
