Description
Conspiracy, the third book in USA TODAY bestselling author Colleen Coble's Sanctuary series (following Ambush and Prowl), delivers exactly what her fans want: the ideal blend of suspense that keeps you on the edge of your seat with just the right amount of romance. Perfect for fans of Laura Dave, Allison Brennan, and Lynette Eason.
Fifteen years of secrets. Once chance for justice.
Just as wildlife veterinarian Paradise Alden begins to envision a future with Blake Lawson, the ghosts of her past return with a vengeance. The murder of her parents has shadowed her for fifteen years, but a new threat brings the cold case into the terrifying present. A trained leopard--a chilling embodiment of Paradise's deepest fears--is now stalking her.
Haunted by resurfacing memories, Paradise, Blake, and her newfound brother, Drew, follow a trail of clues that leads them into a web of dark family secrets. The deeper they dig, the more shocking the connections become, linking their families to a dangerous conspiracy that someone is still willing to kill to protect.
With every step closer to the truth, the killer becomes more desperate. Paradise, Blake, and Drew must race to expose a murderer who has remained hidden for fifteen years, but this time, they are the ones being stalked. If they can't unmask the killer, the past will destroy both the fragile future Paradise and Blake are trying to build and the family she has finally found with her brother.
A conspiracy of lemurs is a family. But a conspiracy of people can be deadly.
Colleen Coble's Conspiracy combines gripping suspense with slow-burn romance and includes intriguing mysteries from both the past and present, sabotage and danger, second-chance romance, found family, and themes of overcoming pain and how the past doesn't have to define you.

This is a Romantic Suspense, and this is the third book in the Sanctuary series. I have read the first two books in this series before picking up this book. I read this book by listening to the audiobook, and I loved the audiobook so much. I loved this book and series, and I am sad this is the final book in this series. I love all the animals in this book, and the two little boys and animals make this book so much better. I loved this book so much. I really loved how this book and series wrapped up. I received an ARC of this book. This review is my own honest opinion about the book like all my reviews are.

My favorite book of the series and a completely satisfying conclusion.
I loved finally getting to the heart of what happened to Paradise's parents and seeing how those answers connected to the clues and breadcrumbs carefully woven throughout the earlier books. It's always rewarding when a series trusts its readers and then delivers on the payoff, and this one absolutely does.
What I enjoyed most about this series has been the combination of suspense, family, faith, and relationships, and this final installment brings those elements together beautifully. Watching the larger story come full circle while still giving the characters room to grow made for a very satisfying read.
Finishing a series always comes with a little sadness, but I'm excited to dive deeper into this author's backlist and see what else she has to offer.

The third novel in the popular Sanctuary series, Conspiracy, by bestselling author, Colleen Coble, finds protagonist, Veterinarian Paradise Alden, along with her newly discovered step-brother, Drew Bartley, is investigating the murder of their parents that was never solved, and was over 15 years old. Early on, there are attempts on her life, and her boyfriend, Blake Lawson, serves as her bodyguard, sort of, and rescuer, since someone is trying to kill her so she doesn’t discover who the real murderer is. Someone knows she is afraid of big cats, and someone is putting a giant cat in her path.
Coble inserts fascinating facts in her stories regarding the animals in the sanctuary, and it is evident that she has done her research. She inserts fictional characters into her stories with factual backdrops, and does an excellent job of setting the scene, so readers can easily picture themselves in a real animal sanctuary. Another of Coble’s strengths is making her characters ring true, and they are believable as real people.
Luckily this novel also comes in the form of an audio book, and the narrator is excellent; readers may want to listen, since it brings the book to life.
While there is plenty of suspense that builds throughout the novel, there is no blatant violence or profanity and is an excellent choice for thriller aficionados who enjoy edge-of-your-seat stories without the filth. Colleen Coble’s style is appealing, and this novel is recommended.
Special thanks to NetGalley for supplying a review copy of this book.

Conspiracy is the final installment in the sanctuary series. This is a solving of the murders and story of the wildlife sanctuary
Conspiracy by Colleen Coble is the third book in her Sanctuary series. Narrated by Karen peaks, who did a wonderful job. What a great conclusion to this series. I feel like you would need to start with book 1. So many twists and turns in this mystery surrounding her parent’s deaths. Will Paradise and Blake get their happily ever after or will one of the big cats take Paradise out? Thank you to #NetGalley and #ThomasNelsonFiction/ audio for this Arc. This is my honest review. Releases Jul 7, 2026
I loved this book but hated that it is the end of the Sanctuary series! The narrator did a great job conveying all of the emotions throughout. This mystery took so many twists and turns but Blake and Paradise plowed through all of them and came out stronger in their faith and love.. The connection of the author's Alabama based books was particularly enjoyable to me, kind of like a family reunion. Hopefully, we haven't seen the end of these characters, Colleen Coble always leaves us wanting more!

Colleen Coble has done it again!! What a thrilling, engaging, and perfect ending to the Sanctuary series! I’ll miss Blake and Paradise, but my heart leaves this series filled with hope, love for family, and reverent faith. All running themes throughout these past few books. And the audio narration was wonderfully executed! Loved!!
This was book 3 in the series and I loved the direction this story took. The story was wrapped up the way I had hoped it would be, while still having some good plot twists tied in. It was very well done in my opinion. I would recommend this book and the series!

I loved the conclusion to this book. It was neat seeing how they interacted with the animals. It was interesting to see how they dealt with the danger they were in seeing how all the relationships had progressed. It had lots of twists and turns. Wish there were more,

This is the third and final book in the Sanctuary series. I would recommend reading the first two book in the series before reading this book. This is the continuation of Paradises and Blakes story as they struggle to make a success of the Sanctuary. Paradise connects with her brother that she didn't know she had. As she struggles to remember what happened the night her parents were murdered, someone is out to make sure she doesn't remember anything by trying to kill her. There is lots of mystery and twists and turns in this book. I recommend the entire series.
I received this book from Thomas Nelson Publishing via Net/Galley in exchange for an honest review. I was not compensated in anyway.
Oh boy! I loved this book and am so glad I discovered this author.
This is the gripping, climactic conclusion to a mystery that has spanned three great books. This author manages to combine everything you would want in a story, murder, revenge, jealousy, secrets, family and even a few wild animals to join in on the fun. All of it adds up to an interesting read that will keep you up late into the night. I wanted to quickly read it to find out what happens but at the same time I didn't want the story to end because it's the last In the series.
I love the characters and the way that they have become a family. I am normally all about the investigation side of stories but I have to say I would make an exception for this family and I loved spending time with them. It wasn't just because of the wild life sanctuary setting either. Although getting to meet some of the animals was a treat, when it was deadly.
With book two, I spent most of the time not trusting anybody as Paradise and Blake struggled to protect the sanctuary but this book is more focused and they are only working the one case. Who killed Paradise parents? Even with just the case there's plenty going on to keep you entertained, suspects to keep you guessing and heart felt moments to make you fall in love with the characters all over again. I can't wait to see what the author has in store for us next.
With the sanctuary no longer in danger, Paradise turns her attention to her parents murder. With her newly discovered brother Drew by her side, the pair of them start following clues. In order to discover what happened that night the have to discover who Drew's father is and whether his family had anything to do with the deaths. Drew's father is as big a mystery as why they died but maybe together they can get to the bottom of things, unless the killer stops them first.
I liked the narrator. She made a great story even more entertaining if that's possible with individual voices for the characters.
I was given this free review copy audio book at my request and have voluntarily left this review

This finale of the Sanctuary series is very satisfying and answers were found to the murders of the parents of Paradise and her newfound half brother Drew. This story has a twisted, complicated mystery of the murders with surprises, greed, power hunger, and resentment. After enduring threats and danger, Paradise, Blake, Drew, family and friends finally have a happy future with promises, love, and faith. The narrator, Karen Peakes, does a great job with all the voices and just the right amount of tension and emotion.
I received an audio copy for the purpose of an honest review. These are my thoughts.

What a riveting read!!! I was fully immersed in the story from start to finish, no doubt thanks to the great narrator and fast-paced thrill this book delivered. This was such an intricate story with moving pieces everywhere, a strong sense of foreboding and twists that had me backtracking on every hypothesis I had made.
I loved the reference to the lemurs in the title and how the author wove the animals into the plot, given the FMC’s job as a wildlife vet. It all felt very cohesive and was well-paced. I read this seeing that it was the third book in a series, and was truthfully a bit worried that I would feel lost, but I never felt like I was in the dark or missing important information. I loved that I could jump right into the story and follow along with the characters and some of their established relationships. If anything, it just makes me want to go back and read the others so I can spend more time with Paradise and Blake. I also appreciated how there was such a heartfelt romance story amongst all the fast-paced action and uncovering of dark secrets. The epilogue was a tad short for my liking, but that was such a minor blip in the grand scheme of things.
Thank you to Thomas Nelson Fiction Audio, Colleen Coble and NetGalley for the opportunity to listen to and review this ALC. All opinions are my own.
Cobble is the master of Christian Suspense Thrillers. Paradise Alden our resident veterinarian, is again the victim of stalking, this time by a big cat. This go around she is joined by her long lost brother Drew. Still seeking answers in her ‘s death, Paradise along with her fiancee Blake, are determined to uncover all the secrets. This was the final book in The Sanctuary series, I recommend reading all of them, but this can easily be read as a standalone. The ending to the series is perfect, as always Coble effortlessly brings faith and Christianity into the story. Highly recommended.
KAREN PEAKES IS FANTASTIC.
Mind Blown! Totally didn't see that coming. So many twists and turns and surprises. Such a wonderful ride throough mystery, suspense and who done it?
Low descriptive violence, no swears, no alcohol, and level 1 non-descriptive kisses only. Dual POV.
I also listened to the audiobook and the narrator Karen Peakes does a wonderful job. The volume level was consistent, easy to increase speed and still understand narration.
I received a complimentary copy of this book from @Netgalley and @thomasnelson. Opinions expressed in this review are completely my own.
Such a great conclusion to this trilogy! The stakes were high as the danger ramps up as Paradise and Drew really dig into the murders of their parents. The mysterious panther— gave me chills, btw— and the rescued lemur are all keys to the puzzle. I had several suspicions but I only guessed the main culprit close to the reveal. I know a conspiracy is a group of lemurs, but I do believe this book is aptly named! Paradise and Blake’s relationship is so sweet as they dream about the future. I’m so pleased with their ending, it was truly wonderful. And I’m so happy where Drew’s story ends up too. Happy endings all around and ends the story world (just for now, I’m sure) of Pelican Harbor, Tupelo Grove, and The Sanctuary. It was so fun having all these series intertwine. Rewarding for those of us who have read all of them, but they also stand alone just fine.
The audio on this book was engaging and comfortable to listen to. I listened at my typical 2x speed. I appreciated the different tones/accents for characters and they were not jarring as they sometimes can be. I felt the narrator was excellent.
I received a complementary copy of both this ebook and audiobook from Thomas Nelson and NetGalley. I read both versions in tandem. I was not asked to leave a positive review and my opinions are my own.
THIS IS BOOK #3 IN THE SERIES, AND WOW! WHAT A BEAUTIFUL CONCLUSION!!
Yes, if you have not read the other books, please go back and read them before you pick this one up!
Paradise and Blake have been through a lot together. And this book is no different. Prepare to hang on to your seats... (and for your heart rate to go up to about 200 if you are like me...)
Also, Drew (Andrew), Paradise's brother from another mother appears and plays a HUGE part in book #3. And yes, I fell in love with him too!!
This is such a beautiful, sweet, caring, family-oriented, small-town, Christian-based series! And I loved every minute of listening to it!!
OF NOTE: It is also scary as hell with some big/HUGE cats and predatory animals playing in the forefront of the book... with some big, sharp, scary teeth too!
So yes, you will get a bit of both! =0
I absolutely adore how the families are portrayed and how they all work together to do things as well as get through things! It's the type of book that gives you hope when you think that there is nothing good left in this world... and that just means everything!!!
#Conspiracy (Sanctuary, Book #3) by @ColleenCoble and narrated phenomenally by @KarenPeakes.
All the stars in the world for me! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️💫💫💫💫💫🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟✨✨✨✨✨
This one made me LOL, cry, smile, scream, pace, and just glow and bask in the love throughout! Yes it is Christian based. It is not overwhelming, but it is present. And it is truly wonderful!
This one has not been released yet. Please look 👀 for it starting July 7, 2026!

A conspiracy of lemurs is a family. But a conspiracy of people can be deadly.
Conspiracy by Colleen Coble was my first visit to her Sanctuary series. I know starting with Book 3 is a little unconventional, but I was immediately captivated by the family cold case, the elusive hunting leopard, and the suspense woven throughout the story. The characters were easy to root for, and the setting's connection to some of Coble's other books was a fantastic touch. By the time the climax rolled around, I couldn't stop listening. The ending features a satisfying twist that will keep readers guessing until the very end while still showcasing the blend of suspense, faith, and family that Coble is known for.

🚔 Danger Around Every Corner
Everything that has been quietly building throughout the series begins coming together in a way that feels both satisfying and completely unpredictable. The tension never lets up and every revelation raises the stakes even higher.
Even during the most dangerous moments the emotional connections remain at the center of the story making every decision feel even more impactful. Karen Peakes once again delivers an outstanding narration that perfectly captures both the suspense and the emotional moments.
If you've started this series, you're absolutely going to want to continue because each book builds on the last in the best way possible.
I don’t know if Colleen Coble has something against letting her characters relax, but Paradise cannot catch a break… and I kept reading because I had to know when life was finally going to be fair to her.
Colleen Coble’s Conspiracy is the last book in the Sanctuary series. Thomas Nelson Fiction, thank you so much for the gifted copy. I also had the chance to listen to the audiobook, beautifully narrated by Karen Peakes, whose performance brought even more tension, emotion, and heart to the story. She has become one of my favorite narrators for Colleen Coble’s books.
I have to admit, finishing this one was a little bittersweet. I’ve spent three books with Paradise and Blake, so by now they don’t feel like strangers anymore. They feel like those fictional people you secretly hope will get a happy ending because you’ve watched them work so hard for it.
The mystery is still front and center, but for me it wasn’t even the biggest reason I kept turning pages. I wanted Paradise to finally get answers about her parents. I wanted Drew to find some peace too. Mostly, I wanted somebody in this book to have one completely normal day. That was asking a lot.
I still love that this series takes place at a wildlife sanctuary. It’s different. There aren’t many suspense novels where you can go from smiling over baby lemurs to worrying about a leopard a few pages later. Every time somebody wandered outside by themselves I caught myself thinking, “Please don’t. Haven’t we learned anything yet?” Listening to Karen Peakes during those scenes only made them more intense. She captured the suspense so well that I found myself holding my breath more than once.
Blake stayed one of my favorite parts of the series. He’s dependable without making a big production out of it. He doesn’t have to be the loudest person in the room to be the strongest one. I always appreciate characters like that.
There was one point where I thought I’d finally figured everything out. I was feeling pretty confident too. Then a few chapters later I realized I had absolutely not figured it out. So… congratulations, Colleen. You got me.
One line I kept thinking about after I finished was:
“God is good. He’s good all the time, even when things look bleak.”
That really sums up the heart of these books. The faith never feels forced. It’s simply part of the way these characters keep putting one foot in front of the other, even when life gets messy.
If you’ve been thinking about this series, don’t start here. Start with Ambush. Trust me. Watching Paradise, Blake, and the people around them grow over three books makes this ending mean so much more.
★★★★★
“A conspiracy of lemurs is a family. But a conspiracy of people can be deadly.”
Now I’m curious… when you finish the last book in a series you love, do you jump right into something new, or do you need a day or two to recover?
Out of the three books in this series, I loved this one the best! The characters were developed well throughout the trilogy, and the finality of all loose ends being tidied up was wonderfully executed. The second book had a very strong religious feel to it, but the third installment was just enough. I enjoyed following Paradise and Blake through the mystery of her parents deaths, learning about her newly found brother and his families drama, which all tied together seamlessly. Their love story was sweet and I enjoyed following their growth as a couple. The ending was perfectly concluded. The narrator throughout the series was also well casted and felt right for the parts.
What a fantastic ending to a great series! I was on the edge of my seat throughout the book! I listened to the story and the narrator did a great job.
The story continues as Paradise and Blake alongside Drew investigate the cold case murder of Paradise's parents. Someone keeps trying to warn them away by using wild animals to run them off the trail of the murderer. This book has nail biting suspense, mystery, and a sweet romance. I recommend reading them in order to get the full story. This book is the third in the series.
*I was given a copy of the book by the narrator, and this is my honest opinion.
This was a great end to this series. I loved it! I have really enjoyed the whole series so I was glad to see how it ended.

Wow, what an incredible narration!!! Such a talented narrator. I loved how she was able to do so many different voices, and throwing in the Southern twang was incredible.
This book follows Paradise as she tries to uncover the secrets from her past. She works with her love interest, Blake and her newly discovered brother, Drew to try to find answers. But someone doesn't want her to find answers. And dangerous people aren't the only thing Paradise will face. Dangerous animals lurk in the shadows.
I really like how the author portrays Paradise's relationship with Blake. They certainly are not without their problems, but they work together to overcome. I like that faith is at the center.
I like how the familial relationships are written. We certainly can't choose what family we are born into, but we do get pick the family we add into our lives. This book touches on that.
This book does a good job of showing how faith can help you grow, even in the midst of terrifying circumstances.
Conspiracy
A Sanctuary Novel

Narrated by Karen Peakes
Rating: 5 star rating
I just finished listening to the audiobook for Conspiracy by Colleen Coble. The story dives into a fifteen-year-old cold case about a double murder. To make things exciting, a trained leopard, Paradise's biggest nightmare, starts stalking the wildlife refuge. To stop it, Paradise (a wildlife vet), her brother Drew, and her partner Blake have to capture it.
They also uncover a web of family secrets and a conspiracy. When they start digging into the past it causes a killer to come forward, and they have to stop him.
Paradise is dealing with trauma from losing her parents as a kid, and Blake is there by her side helping her. Blake has been longing to propose, and after all the danger, the story treats you to a beautiful marriage proposal.
The narrator, Karen Peakes, does an amazing job giving everyone a unique voice. She really makes you feel their emotional journey through foster care trauma and learning to trust again. Best of all, the ending gives you total closure.
Paradise and Blake get that beautiful refuge proposal and a wonderful future together. It left me wishing for more. You definitely need to add this one to your to be read list.

Wow! Conspiracy was so incredibly well written. I loved how Coble brought the story around full circle with so many unexpected twists and turns. It was so hard to see Paradise and Blake get continually beat down but at the same time loved how they are able to work together to get through it. The narrator also was fabulous and added a whole new depth to the story. Another 5+ star book for for Colleen Coble!
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
Conspiracy by Colleen Coble is another 5-star read for me! In fact, every book in the Sanctuary series has earned 5 stars.
This story kept me guessing from beginning to end. There were so many villains to suspect—and so many to loathe—that I never completely figured out who was behind it all until the big reveal.
I continue to love Paradise and Blake as main characters, and Blake’s family adds so much heart to the story. Their relationships feel genuine and make the suspense even more engaging.
I listened to the audiobook, and the narrator was outstanding. The voices for Blake’s little brother were especially well done and added so much personality and charm to the listening experience.
As always, I appreciated the lovely, sweet faith content woven naturally throughout the story. It added depth and hope without overwhelming the plot.
Another excellent installment in a series I highly recommend!
I was blessed with an ALC. Thank you NetGalley and Thomas Nelson. The opinions expressed are my own and unbiased.
This was a nail-biter! I was on the edge of my seat watching Paradise confront her past while being stalked by a trained leopard. The blend of deep family secrets and romantic suspense is just perfect
I always enjoy returning to the world of Paradise and Blake. They are an amazing couple and grow closer no matter what danger is thrown at them. Colleen Coble's dedication to wholesome Christian fiction with a danger component is top notch. I enjoy everything from this author.
What a great way to wrap up this series. I love Colleen Coble and this series has been no exception.
From keeping you in suspense to forwarding a gentle love story, this book keeps you enthralled while providing a cozy feeling. It's a great story of family and believing you deserve the love you're given.
Karen Peakes did a great job narrating the book.
Thank you to Netgalley, Colleen Coble, and Thomas Nelson Fiction Audio for the ALC.
As always, a very satisfying wrap to one of Colleen Coble’s series! How she manages to tie up so many loose ends and clues into a seamless novel without pages and pages of explanation for the reader is a mystery to me. But she does!
The immersive environment in Alabama and the sanctuary are such a unique part of this series. I loved the balance of mystery and romance. Blake and Paradise deserve all the happiness in the world.
Waiting eagerly for what Colleen writes next!

An absolute thrilling conclusion to the Sanctuary series by Colleen Coble. Paradise and Blake are making plans to move forward with their life together, but Paradise and her brother, Drew, pursuing their parent’s murder inserts some curve balls. I love how the themes of family and justice are highlighted and pave the way for the search of truth. I really enjoyed seeing Paradise and Drew draw closer and start to make up for all the lost years. The conclusion was simultaneously both what I expected and not. Some key players and some new ones jumbled it all up, in all the right ways. Enjoy the ride…it’s a quick-paced, romantic adventure from start to stop.
The narrator did an excellent job maintaining consistency with characters from previous novels as well as introducing new ones. The tone and pace were just perfect to capture the suspense.
I received a complimentary copy from the publisher via NetGalley and all opinions expressed are solely my own, freely given.

Conspiracy is the epic conclusion to the Sanctuary series. Paradise, Blake and Drew are still searching for who killed Paradise’s parents and Drew’s father. During the course of their investigation, several attempts are made on Paradise’s life. Several people are harmed because of secrets, lies. Can they find the killer? Listen to this fabulous Christian romantic suspense for answers.
The solo narration by Karen Peakes was absolutely phenomenal. She portrayed each and every character perfectly. She gave everyone a distinctive voice. I highly recommend listening to this audiobook.
Thanks to the author and NetGalley for this ALC.
AUDIOBOOK REVIEW: Story 5 stars Narration 5 stars
Conspiracy is the third book in the Sanctuary series, and it was just as wonderful as the first two. Romantic suspense is one of my absolute favorite genres, and Colleen always delivers. She is the perfect author for readers who love the thrilling, edge-of-your-seat style of Nora Roberts but want a clean read without the language and sexual content. There is definitely some violence and tension to keep the mystery alive, but it’s never super descriptive or gory.
This story follows wildlife veterinarian Paradise Alden just as she’s starting to envision a future with Blake Lawson. But the fifteen-year-old cold case of her parents' murder suddenly comes crashing into the present. Someone is stalking her using a trained leopard—which is literal chills—and Paradise, Blake, and her brother Drew have to dive into a web of dark family secrets to find the truth. It’s a total race against time before a desperate killer destroys everything they're trying to build.
I have absolutely loved this series from start to finish! If you love a fast-paced mystery with a sweet romance and plenty of heart, you need to pick this one up. Thank you Thomas Nelson Fiction Publishing for this advanced listener copy, the narrator did a wonderful job!
An easy 5 stars for me! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
I just have to start by saying this was the perfect finale to the Sanctuary series! Colleen Coble somehow managed to juggle cool exotic animals, with long buried family secrets, and suspense without missing a beat! Every time I thought I had things figured out, another clue popped up and sent me in a completely different direction! Paradise, Blake, and Drew made such a great team, and I loved watching all the puzzle pieces finally click into place.
What I enjoyed most was how this book felt like uncovering a giant family photo album where every page revealed a new surprise! Except some of those surprises were downright dangerous! The mix of mystery, family bonds, and wildlife made it impossible to put down! If you've followed this series from the beginning, Conspiracy is the kind of finale that reminds you why you got invested in these characters in the first place!
Thank you so much to the author, Netgalley, and Thomas Nelson Fiction Audio for an advanced copy of this book. All thoughts are my own.
