Description

From USA TODAY bestselling author Kathleen Fuller comes a cozy, kisses-only romance about fresh starts, fall leaves, and finding love right next door, perfect for fans of Gilmore Girls and Sarah Adams.

Via Dalton has sworn off men to focus on the two things she loves most: her quirky cat café, Pawsitive Vibes, and the charming town of Pecan Corner, Ohio. But her peaceful world is shaken when Earl Brewster, the owner of the beloved Second Chapter Books next door, passes away. Via is determined to buy the shop and preserve Earl's legacy, but her plans hit a snag in the form of a tall, handsome, and completely unexpected heir.

Leo Brewster's life is thriving in LA, and the last thing he needs is an inheritance in the middle-of-nowhere, Ohio. But the alternative--letting his estranged mother inherit--has him packing his bags to receive the inheritance, quickly sell it off to the highest bidder, and hightail it back to LA. What he didn't count on was the list of stipulations in the will that has him staying in the small town for a month. Oh, and the determined, sunny café owner next door who refuses to let him destroy the town's heart without a fight.

Desperate to convince Leo the bookstore is vital to her community, Via challenges Leo to complete her Autumn Bucket List. As they navigate corn mazes, pumpkin patches, and fall festivals, Leo begins to see the magic in Pecan Corner--and in Via. Despite her vow to stay single and his plan to leave, the attraction between them simmers like hot cider.

Can a season of small-town charm convince a city boy to stay, or will Via lose both the bookstore and her heart?

Grab a warm drink and curl up with this delightful grumpy/sunshine, opposites-attract story of unexpected love and small-town charm.

Thank you NetGalley for the audio arc!

I found this to be a very cute fall story! Something I'd definitely read again. I absolutely loved the narrator as well.

My favourite character also had to be the cat. That is all.

First I want to Thank NetGalley and Thomas Nelson and Zondervan Fiction Audio for this ALC (Advanced Listener Copy). The following are my own and honest opinions.

This was such a sweet and cozy read! This is definitely for cat lovers. As someone who is actually allergic to cats, I really enjoyed all of the cat appearances and the little “meows” heard throughout the story.

The autumn atmosphere was absolutely perfect. Fall vibes on point. I also really enjoyed Leo’s reason for staying in town and what he learned and found out.

That reveal at the end was amazing and made this a 5 star for me. For various reasons: for Earl’s wishes, for Leo emotional maturity, for his mother’s meaningful change, and for Via in every way. Even though Earl was never physically present in the book, his sweet presence was evident. His impact on the characters and the community was beautiful and unforgettable.

Thank you to NetGalley and Thomas Nelson Fiction Audio for giving me the opportunity to listen to this audio book for an honest review!!

The narrator was perfect!

Sir. Meow was definitely the star of the show! The was he brought these two; Via and Leo, together was just so cute!!

This book is the definition of comforting and cozy. I was immediately hooked by the title and the cover page

First off, EEEEEKKKK

You had me at the names of each store, Uncle Earl, and honestly this was such a great book! The chemistry between Leo and Via throughout had me kicking my feet. This is a book that had me craving apple cider, pumpkin pie and that cold crisp autumn air.

It makes me want to move up north so I can experience this. It was such a cozy read that I could stop.

Via is super fun! Spunky and Iconic. I love how chaotic she is with her furniture and the clothes she wears. She is bright and she is the owner of a cat cafe! What's not to like?

Leo, I didn't like him at first with the way he protected his sports car for dear life. But as he got used to the way he lived at Pecan Corner (which is also a favorite name.) he slowly let loose, and became less of a stickler and way more handsome in my eyes!

This is perfect to read during the fall, cozied up on the couch or in a chair to read. If you love Sunshine X Grumpy, cuteness everywhere, cat cats and lots of cats, slow burn romance, then this is for you!

Maybe im a sucker for cute, fall, romance with kitty side characters (let's be real..they are the MAIN characters). Anyway... this was a "world works in mysterious ways" kinda read. Leo and Via brought together by a sad moment in life. Learning communication, value isn't just money and so much more. I would love to visit these two shops in this book. The amount of times I giggled and went awww were endless. Especially when it came to Sir Meow. The master of the whole thing. For without him how would the humans have managed??
A must read for those wanting cute and cozy.

Melissa Moran did a fantastic job narrating this audiobook and really brought the characters and small town charm to life.

I’ll never turn down a small town romance, especially when it involves a cat cafe and a bookstore! This was such a cute, cozy read with lovable characters, plenty of fall atmosphere, and a clean romance that I thoroughly enjoyed.

Via and Leo were both well developed characters, and while this has some grumpy x sunshine vibes, Leo isn’t fully grumpy, which actually made it more enjoyable for me.

Of course, my favorite character was Sir Meow! Any book that gives me an adorable cat main character is already off to a great start. Between the cat cafe, bookstore, and autumn bucket list, this book delivered everything I want from a cozy fall romance.

Overall, this was a heartwarming, feel good read that left me smiling. It would make an absolutely fantastic Hallmark movie, and I highly recommend it to readers looking for a sweet, clean romance full of small town charm.

Thank you NetGalley and Thomas Nelson Fiction Audio | Thomas Nelson Fiction for sending this ALC for review consideration. All opinions are my own.

If you are looking for the autumn aesthetic with an awesome cat in book form, Autumn at the Cat Cafe is it! 🍂🐱

This was such a super cozy, cute romance. I completely fell for Via and Leo. Via is pure fun, and it was so sweet watching Leo learn a completely different lifestyle compared to his busy, high-value business life back home. The slow build of their relationship was beautiful, and the book maintains a great storyline throughout so you're always invested.

Also, as a girl who loves cars, I absolutely adored how the author highlighted Leo's love for his car! Those added details were a perfect touch and made me enjoy the story even more than I already did.

Sir Meows was an absolute star, too! His personality was brilliant, and the author handled his character perfectly so that he added to the vibe without taking over the main plot.

Audiobook Note: The narrators did a fantastic job bringing the story to life, but the fake meowing in the audio was a bit much for me and something I could have done without.

This gave me all the warm, cozy fall vibes I wanted. A perfect seasonal read!

Thank you Netgalley, and Kathleen Fuller for an ALC in exchange for a honest review!

This book is a perfect autumnal read!!! As an audiobook, this is fantastically done! The setting and atmosphere are near perfect and the cat is the best character!!!! Overall, the fall romance is sweet and cozy and just like a little breath of fall air and a hug. All of the other characters (Leo, Via, and Earl especially) were so fun to read and I loved the dynamic between Leo and Via.

Aww this was a sweet and heartwarming contemporary romance set in a welcoming small town in Ohio ☺️🫶😍 It's a quick, easy read that perfectly captures the cozy feel of a Midwestern autumn 🍁 ❤️❤️❤️ and the audiobook made it even more cozy!!😍😍😍

The story follows an opposites-attract romance between Via and Leo, two characters carrying their own personal struggles. As the story unfolds, both characters are forced to confront their own challenges, and I enjoyed watching their relationship develop alongside that growth ❤️

The supporting cast adds plenty of charm!!😍 From amusing feline companions to entertaining family members who bring lighthearted moments to the story. Beyond the romance, the novel explores themes of friendship, family, belonging, and the importance of having people who make you feel seen, valued, and at home 🥹🫶🫶🫶

If you're in the mood for a cozy, low-spice romance with lovable characters and a strong sense of community, this is definitely worth picking up!!🙌

Thank you to the publisher and NetGalley for this ALC!! (I truly enjoyed the immersive reading of both ALC and ARC❤️) All thoughts and opinions are my own, as always ☺️🫶

This audiobook was so sweet. An older man passes away and the MMC is notified to check out the uncle’s business. The FMC is now the owner of the business next door. They each think the other is selfish, but after a while things begin to change. This story is so cute and cozy. I listened to the audiobook and loved the narrator’s voice. I loved this novel and would definitely recommend it.
