Description
From USA TODAY bestselling author Kathleen Fuller comes a cozy, kisses-only romance about fresh starts, fall leaves, and finding love right next door, perfect for fans of Gilmore Girls and Sarah Adams.
Via Dalton has sworn off men to focus on the two things she loves most: her quirky cat café, Pawsitive Vibes, and the charming town of Pecan Corner, Ohio. But her peaceful world is shaken when Earl Brewster, the owner of the beloved Second Chapter Books next door, passes away. Via is determined to buy the shop and preserve Earl's legacy, but her plans hit a snag in the form of a tall, handsome, and completely unexpected heir.
Leo Brewster's life is thriving in LA, and the last thing he needs is an inheritance in the middle-of-nowhere, Ohio. But the alternative--letting his estranged mother inherit--has him packing his bags to receive the inheritance, quickly sell it off to the highest bidder, and hightail it back to LA. What he didn't count on was the list of stipulations in the will that has him staying in the small town for a month. Oh, and the determined, sunny café owner next door who refuses to let him destroy the town's heart without a fight.
Desperate to convince Leo the bookstore is vital to her community, Via challenges Leo to complete her Autumn Bucket List. As they navigate corn mazes, pumpkin patches, and fall festivals, Leo begins to see the magic in Pecan Corner--and in Via. Despite her vow to stay single and his plan to leave, the attraction between them simmers like hot cider.
Can a season of small-town charm convince a city boy to stay, or will Via lose both the bookstore and her heart?
Grab a warm drink and curl up with this delightful grumpy/sunshine, opposites-attract story of unexpected love and small-town charm.

Thank you NetGalley for the audio arc!
I found this to be a very cute fall story! Something I'd definitely read again. I absolutely loved the narrator as well.
My favourite character also had to be the cat. That is all.
I loved this book so much it was such a cute cozy fall romance I enjoyed it so much such a fun listen on audiobook,
First I want to Thank NetGalley and Thomas Nelson and Zondervan Fiction Audio for this ALC (Advanced Listener Copy). The following are my own and honest opinions.
This was such a sweet and cozy read! This is definitely for cat lovers. As someone who is actually allergic to cats, I really enjoyed all of the cat appearances and the little “meows” heard throughout the story.
The autumn atmosphere was absolutely perfect. Fall vibes on point. I also really enjoyed Leo’s reason for staying in town and what he learned and found out.
That reveal at the end was amazing and made this a 5 star for me. For various reasons: for Earl’s wishes, for Leo emotional maturity, for his mother’s meaningful change, and for Via in every way. Even though Earl was never physically present in the book, his sweet presence was evident. His impact on the characters and the community was beautiful and unforgettable.
Thank you to NetGalley and Thomas Nelson Fiction Audio for giving me the opportunity to listen to this audio book for an honest review!!
The narrator was perfect!
Sir. Meow was definitely the star of the show! The was he brought these two; Via and Leo, together was just so cute!!

This book is the definition of comforting and cozy. I was immediately hooked by the title and the cover page
First off, EEEEEKKKK
You had me at the names of each store, Uncle Earl, and honestly this was such a great book! The chemistry between Leo and Via throughout had me kicking my feet. This is a book that had me craving apple cider, pumpkin pie and that cold crisp autumn air.
It makes me want to move up north so I can experience this. It was such a cozy read that I could stop.
Via is super fun! Spunky and Iconic. I love how chaotic she is with her furniture and the clothes she wears. She is bright and she is the owner of a cat cafe! What's not to like?
Leo, I didn't like him at first with the way he protected his sports car for dear life. But as he got used to the way he lived at Pecan Corner (which is also a favorite name.) he slowly let loose, and became less of a stickler and way more handsome in my eyes!
This is perfect to read during the fall, cozied up on the couch or in a chair to read. If you love Sunshine X Grumpy, cuteness everywhere, cat cats and lots of cats, slow burn romance, then this is for you!
Maybe im a sucker for cute, fall, romance with kitty side characters (let's be real..they are the MAIN characters). Anyway... this was a "world works in mysterious ways" kinda read. Leo and Via brought together by a sad moment in life. Learning communication, value isn't just money and so much more. I would love to visit these two shops in this book. The amount of times I giggled and went awww were endless. Especially when it came to Sir Meow. The master of the whole thing. For without him how would the humans have managed??
A must read for those wanting cute and cozy.

Melissa Moran did a fantastic job narrating this audiobook and really brought the characters and small town charm to life.
I’ll never turn down a small town romance, especially when it involves a cat cafe and a bookstore! This was such a cute, cozy read with lovable characters, plenty of fall atmosphere, and a clean romance that I thoroughly enjoyed.
Via and Leo were both well developed characters, and while this has some grumpy x sunshine vibes, Leo isn’t fully grumpy, which actually made it more enjoyable for me.
Of course, my favorite character was Sir Meow! Any book that gives me an adorable cat main character is already off to a great start. Between the cat cafe, bookstore, and autumn bucket list, this book delivered everything I want from a cozy fall romance.
Overall, this was a heartwarming, feel good read that left me smiling. It would make an absolutely fantastic Hallmark movie, and I highly recommend it to readers looking for a sweet, clean romance full of small town charm.

If you are looking for the autumn aesthetic with an awesome cat in book form, Autumn at the Cat Cafe is it! 🍂🐱
This was such a super cozy, cute romance. I completely fell for Via and Leo. Via is pure fun, and it was so sweet watching Leo learn a completely different lifestyle compared to his busy, high-value business life back home. The slow build of their relationship was beautiful, and the book maintains a great storyline throughout so you're always invested.
Also, as a girl who loves cars, I absolutely adored how the author highlighted Leo's love for his car! Those added details were a perfect touch and made me enjoy the story even more than I already did.
Sir Meows was an absolute star, too! His personality was brilliant, and the author handled his character perfectly so that he added to the vibe without taking over the main plot.
Audiobook Note: The narrators did a fantastic job bringing the story to life, but the fake meowing in the audio was a bit much for me and something I could have done without.
This gave me all the warm, cozy fall vibes I wanted. A perfect seasonal read!
Thank you Netgalley, and Kathleen Fuller for an ALC in exchange for a honest review!
This book is a perfect autumnal read!!! As an audiobook, this is fantastically done! The setting and atmosphere are near perfect and the cat is the best character!!!! Overall, the fall romance is sweet and cozy and just like a little breath of fall air and a hug. All of the other characters (Leo, Via, and Earl especially) were so fun to read and I loved the dynamic between Leo and Via.
Aww this was a sweet and heartwarming contemporary romance set in a welcoming small town in Ohio ☺️🫶😍 It's a quick, easy read that perfectly captures the cozy feel of a Midwestern autumn 🍁 ❤️❤️❤️ and the audiobook made it even more cozy!!😍😍😍
The story follows an opposites-attract romance between Via and Leo, two characters carrying their own personal struggles. As the story unfolds, both characters are forced to confront their own challenges, and I enjoyed watching their relationship develop alongside that growth ❤️
The supporting cast adds plenty of charm!!😍 From amusing feline companions to entertaining family members who bring lighthearted moments to the story. Beyond the romance, the novel explores themes of friendship, family, belonging, and the importance of having people who make you feel seen, valued, and at home 🥹🫶🫶🫶
If you're in the mood for a cozy, low-spice romance with lovable characters and a strong sense of community, this is definitely worth picking up!!🙌
Thank you to the publisher and NetGalley for this ALC!! (I truly enjoyed the immersive reading of both ALC and ARC❤️) All thoughts and opinions are my own, as always ☺️🫶

This audiobook was so sweet. An older man passes away and the MMC is notified to check out the uncle’s business. The FMC is now the owner of the business next door. They each think the other is selfish, but after a while things begin to change. This story is so cute and cozy. I listened to the audiobook and loved the narrator’s voice. I loved this novel and would definitely recommend it.

Harvard Boy and Smitten Kitten, how can you not love their journey with names like these? This story draws you in and keeps you engaged. A treasure hunt and books. Their worlds are different and yet the same! i could not turn this story off! I'm waiting not so patiently for the next chapter!
I really enjoyed reading this! Both MCs went through a lot of personal growth and the development of their love story was do fun to read! I loved their chemistry! I loved how Leo's Mom gave Via the shop at the end. I pictured Leo's mother to be like Brooke Davis's mom lol! The shop names were SO cute! Grumpy x Sunshine is one of my favourite tropes!
My cozy heart loved this story! I really enjoyed the narration! She did a great job doing both voices. I love a dual POV!
Many thanks to Netgalley and Thomas Nelson Fiction Audio for the alc!

Leo inherits his estranged uncle’s small town book store but must fulfill the stipulations in the will to gain ownership. Enter quirky cat cafe owner Octavia “Via” who shares a building with the bookstore. Together they tackle the odd stipulations while trying not to fall for eachother.
I loved both Leo and Via. Leo was such a cinnamon roll! Via is quirky, cat loving and kind. But, Sir stole the show! 🐈
I highly recommend this read for the perfect, clean cozy fall romance. This checks all the boxes!
The was a five 🌟 read for me! I adored all the cozy fall vibes, the tension, the slow burn.
The audiobook was well done and enjoyable! The narration was pleasant and clear!
(Note: I received a ALC/ARC of this book from NetGalley in exchange for a fair review)
Thank you Netgalley and publishers for the opportunity to listen to this ALC!
I had such a good time listening to this audiobook. It was such a cozy and sweet romance. The characters were likable, too. Any miscommunication or problems between the main characters was actually dealt with in an adult way, and it gave the romance a realistic feel.
The story follows Via and Leo. Via owns the cat cafe next to a bookstore. When Leo's uncle unexpectedly passes away, Leo is set to inherit the shop and apartment above. Before he does, he must fulfill the stipulations that his estranged uncle put in the will. Him and Via work through, even if he omits the reasoning for asking her for help.
Absolutely pick this one up for a clean romance this fall. A cup of tea, the leaves turning, cozy blanket, and this book will make for a lovely autumn day!

Autumn at the Cat Café was a fun, delightful, fall based romance. Totally reminiscent of a Hallmark vibes, but with a new twist. A cat café. Don’t get me wrong, I love cats, and I have been hearing about cafés like this, but to read a story set in one of them? It was perfect! I learned some things about how these cafes work and there is no other setting in which these two primary characters would have been a better fit. Everything in this one, the small town, the emphasis on books, and all things fall work together to complete a delightful autumn infused comfort story with all the right vibes. The bucket list couple with the will’s stipulations allowed for some great adventures while flaming all spark on all the emotions.
I really appreciated the narrator bringing it to life with such a great voice and cadence. She captured the inflections and personalities perfectly.
I received a complimentary copy from the publisher via NetGalley, and all opinions expressed are solely my own, freely given.

Review of advance reader and listener copy received from NetGalley
This book was amazing. The beginning was a bit slow for me but soon became fast. I loved the small town charm. The cats were all adorable…….especially Sir Meow. The way he brought together Via and Leo was so cute. Via and Leo’s banter was so cute. Their nicknames for each other were really adorable. I loved the way how reconciliation happened in this book and the way the characters’ flaws were portrayed. I loved the bucket list. All of the side characters were also amazing. I loved Dora……she reminded me of my sister and Fergus with his overprotective brother nature was so adorable. Earl was also an amazing and key character. The narrator did a great job. I would recommend listening to the audiobook.
I give my thanks to the author and to NetGalley for giving me this ARC and ALC.

This book is so cozy.
I fell in love with this little town and all the people.
If we could get book to this town in every season i would do that.
The wat that the two mmc's banter with each other, and tease, OMG it was fun to read
First of all, l've listened to this as an ALC, so my
review does not account for any changes until release day.
Now that that is said, I LOVED this book! This is perfect for cozy autumn girls and Gilmore Girls lovers!
What I loved most about this book was the characters. I connected so deeply to our FMC Via and could really relate to her on a deeper level.
Leo genuinely stole my heart with how patient and loving he was with both her and the cats.
Speaking of the cats, they were written so so well. In other books, cats are easily soulless and cliche, but Kathleen Fuller wrote them so perfectly. Even these cats had more personality than most of the people I know.
Grief and family issues are a really big part of this story, though they don't make it too heavy at all. They rather warmed my heart and gave these characters so much more nuance and depth. Kathleen Fuller really pulls you in and will not let you go for a long, long time

With cozy fall vibes, clean romance, pumpkin patches, bookstores and cats. What’s not to love?
This book was adorable. If you like a good Hallmark movie, you’ll love this book. The narrator was perfect and the story was adorable. The romance level in this book is clean and I thoroughly appreciated that.
It’s a quick, easy listen and makes you want to snuggle up with a warm cup of cider.
I received an ARC of Autumn at the Cat Cafe and leave this review voluntarily.
The tension between these characters is fantastic and is kept up with throughout the book. I loved how the characters fall for each other as they go on this adventure within the beloved bookstore (and I would love to experience this bookstore!). The major conflicts at the end fit the narrative perfectly and are executed in a really emotional way. I strongly recommend picking this up and sitting down with a warm cup of something soothing. You'll need it.

This book was beautiful, captivating and lovely. I had difficulties stopping to read it to go to bed for an important day. It calmed me and brought me huge smiles and a fluttering heart. I enjoyed it immensely. I love this type of romance and plot and therefore applied for the ALC as soon as I saw it.
Both characters have their flaws and insecurities but are sweet and caring. It was wonderful to listen and forget about everything in the world by diving into this little small town romance.
I was able to finish this in one sitting. It was light, cozy, and warm. All the things you expect from a fall themed book. The romance was the type that makes you giggle and kick your feet in anticipation of them realizing their feelings and that first kiss. I will definitely listen to this again in the fall!
