Description

Sometimes being good isn't as bad as it seems…

Poppy Weyward is determined to prove she's the wickedest witch in Dawndale. Her goals are simple: out-evil her siblings, avoid attachments, and perfect her baking. But when a charming, infuriatingly self-important fae moves in next door, her carefully crafted villainy starts to unravel.

Finic seems like the perfect target for some of her most mischievous spells. He's too pretty, too smug, too everything. So when the local theater announces auditions, Poppy seizes her chance to sabotage him. Instead, her spell works a little too well, turning him into the theater's newest star and the town's favorite heartthrob.

As Poppy scrambles to undo the chaos, her magic misfires, her plans implode, and her heart refuses to cooperate, especially when Finic turns out to be kind, funny…and impossible to hate.

With her sisters demanding she end the romance before it ruins everything, Poppy faces her greatest dilemma yet—protect her wicked legacy, or risk it all for love. Because this time, the villainess might just want a happily ever after.

Just like the first, this book had me addicted from the first page. There is something about this little sisterhood that I absolutely adore. They want so badly to be grumpy but they just keep slipping. I loved the growth, and the sweet little romance that bloomed. Will definitely be recommending this book to every reader I know.

I’m a big fan of J. Penner, and this was another win for me! I loved all the hidden Shakespeare gems throughout and getting to check in with characters from the previous book.

Poppy’s story is sweet, cozy, and full of heart, with a wonderful message about following your own path and being your authentic self. Add in a hunky fae next door and another sassy familiar, and I’m sold. I can’t wait for more from this series—and to try the recipe at the back!

This was such a fun, whimsical little cozy romantasy! 🧙‍♀️💜

Poppy’s DETERMINANTION to be the wickest witch had me smiling, especially when her plans start falling apart thanks to one very charming fae. The magicall chaos, baking, banter and unexpected romance made this such a delightful read!

Whimsical, cozy and full of magical mischief — exactly the kind of romantasy I needed. 🧁✨
