The thing that struck me most when I was reading this book was just how much the author knows about the different breeds of farm dogs discussed in this book. It's an informative guide for anyone looking at the different dogs that can work on the farm before they look to make a purchase. The initial chapters cover history, understanding, and choosing the right dog and it then moves on to chapters about the .different individual breeds and I did learn an awful lot. For me its a great book for dog lovers and it's a great purchase for anyone looking for the real facts needed before they choose to buy a working dog.
