This was helpful, informative, and interesting to read. I found myself jotting down names of flowers I want to grow and reflecting on new methods to deter pests in the garden. New and experienced gardeners will enjoy this book. My only critique is the website linked in the book is difficult to navigate and isn't updated. Otherwise, I recommend this book for libraries and garden centers.

This was a good intro primer on gardening wirh beautiful photography. Some of the gardening principles didn't quite meet my qualifications for easy to meet when youre busy with a full time job and a kid but I still found value in it.

This book focuses somewhat narrowly on gardens that are beautiful to behold and/or produce beautiful flowers for cutting. Most gardening books of our time now include information about pollinators, native planting, and general sustainability considerations, which this book mostly lacks. Still, I found the garden bed planning guides uniquely informative. They provide highly practical, step-by-step instructions for a broad range of needs and goals.

Lately I’ve been getting much more into gardening, so when I saw this book was available to read I immediately picked it up!

I especially liked the photographs included in each section, as they added something extra to the explanations. I also really enjoyed the parts that directly engaged with the reader, such as the questions and tips.

A very interesting read!

Thoughtful and informative book for those people who are interested in learning about gardening. It is for those that either want to start or already have a garden but they want to improve it. Extremely detailed from all the years of mistakes as well as experience dealing with plants and wildlife. But you definitely must be serious about getting into the soil. Author doesn’t baby the reader about the needs, that is the supplies and layout of everything to be done. A sure way to follow along the author’s recommendations and instructions (plus a lot of hard work) and you too will have a “beautiful garden”.
I received a free copy of this book from NetGalley and am voluntarily leaving my review.
