Claudia is a witch who's trying her hand at working in the human world. Various catastrophes ensue as she tries to get to work by bus and label cans by sneaking in magic. Her efforts finally get noticed by a witch who can help her, and the series promises a sequel.

However...WHY on earth did the author plant "damn it" it a book for kids? I can not even picture how much trouble there would be had a student read this book in my classroom and showed it to his parents. Surely. some other expletive could have been chosen.

Claudia in the Human World is a fun children’s book that appears to be part of a series, although this is my first time reading about Claudia and her adventures. To top it off, this book only tells the first part of the current adventure! That makes it difficult to say too much because it feels as though I’ve joined Claudia in the middle of her journey.

However, I really liked Claudia. She has a wonderful spirit and works hard, even when she is faced with tasks she doesn’t particularly enjoy. She could very possibly be a great role model for young readers. I’m interested to see where the rest of her adventure takes her!

Downloaded this for my niece and I to read together and we REALLY enjoyed it. I liked it more than I anticipated. The illustrations are adorable and I enjoy the color scheme and tonalities in them. My niece gave great feedback too — Pig Stick made her laugh!

We thought this was a fun cute story for kids. My kids love fantasy and paranormal stories specifically witches and this was right up their alley. It kept both of them engaged and we had a good time reading it.

This was such a fun and imaginative story! I really enjoyed seeing the world through Claudia’s perspective and thought the story had a wonderful sense of humor and adventure. The illustrations were a great addition and made the whole reading experience even more enjoyable
