ARC Review (My first Romantasy one)
Book: The Keepers by Alys Mackay
Rating: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
My thoughts:

A very strong debut novel! I loved the writing style of the book and I felt like the words flowed like magic. The plot was packed, all the way from the beginning where our main character, Tsunala, wakes up bound to the back of a horse and has amnesia, to the end which sets up the stage for the next book. I loved the fantasy world with all the different species and the way the Gods were gone and forgotten, the question of why they left playing an important role in the series.

Tsunala and the MMC have such good chemistry and communication. I actually love it when romantasy books do not have a strong enemies-to-lovers trope. I will not mention the MMC name, though, as you have to read it to know what I am talking about.

I strongly suggest giving this book a try and I hope you enjoy it when it comes out!

• As soon as the story starts you are in the thick of it, wanting to know who she is and how she is going to get out of this dire situation.
• The thought process of the MFC is really interesting, intelligent and funny. She shows so much reflection and character development during the book.
• The MMC has amazing chemistry with the MFC. He has shadow daddy vibes and has a good heart.
• The world is fascinating. I was excited to find out what had already happened and what will happen next.
• The front cover!
