After the fox ate the gingerbread man, the baker and his wife were in tears and so upset at what had happened...
They both decided, there and then, that they would try and make another gingerbread man...

I received an arc of this title from NetGalley for an honest review. After a fox ate their last gingerbread man, they made another one but soon things get out of control. Fun illustrations, great rhyming, and weird story.

I liked how weird the story is but the pictures didn't feel natural and the rhymes felt awkward.
Thanks to NetGalley for letting me read this

I received an ARC of this book from NetGalley. These thoughts and opinions are completely my own.
This book was about the baker and his wife's second attempt to make themselves a child out of gingerbread and how it also didn't go according to plan.
When my 3-year-old was asked what he thought of the book, he said "Me like this book."
The start to this was mildly confusing for me, probably because it felt so abrupt, even though I know the original tale. My biggest complaint was that the writing/lines didn't really flow well or have any sort of cadence when being read aloud, which caused me to have to reread many of the lines a second time to say them correctly.
No language. No spice, obviously.

Cute illustrations. As a warning the gingerbread man doesn’t eat healthy foods but eats desserts and cakes. Story also has the phrasing of pointing guns which some parents may not appreciate. Probably not appropriate for young readers. Story had cute wording but the ending felt kind of rush and not satisfying.

Another Gingerbread Man was a decent children’s book. The illustrations were cute. A little weird story, but was still enjoyable.

An entertaining picture book, with fun, rhyming text, and colorful illustrations. I think it might be time for the bakers to stop bringing gingerbread men to life because it never works out the way it is supposed to.
