Description
When a beloved local hero is brutally murdered, and another vanishes without a trace, the small town of Harrington is left reeling.
Amongst the mystery are two sisters with secrets of their own. Willow is sharp, charismatic, and hiding something dangerous beneath her carefully constructed mask. Aria is quieter, observant, and begins to sense that the crimes haunting their town may be closer to home than anyone realises.
As suspicion grows and investigations tighten, their bond is tested by loyalty, fear, and the possibility of an unforgivable truth.
Tense, emotionally raw, and deeply unsettling, Grey Area is a haunting descent into obsession, guilt, and the dangerous spaces in between.

This was my first dive into this Genre, I wasn't sure what to expect but let me tell you one thing, this did not disappoint. The author has done an exceptionally good job of balancing world building, character development and a deep, rich plot. It's gritty, it's intense, it's absolutely fantastic. I pray for a sequel to this. It's absolutely fantastic. Read in 4ish hours, once I picked it up, I couldn't put it down.
Thank you to Bethany Philip, NetGalley & Troubador, for the opportunity to read this eArc.
‘Grey Area’ is a really dark, suspenseful thriller, set in a small town called Harrington, where a local man has been found murdered, and another man has disappeared. The story centres around Willow and Aria, two sisters that are complete opposites, but fiercely protective.
We start to see cracks appear in their close bond as lots of secrets and lies are uncovered. With further crimes then being reported, it starts to look like the girls might be connected- even though one is writing the news headlines.
Does one of the girls have a hidden darker side?
This book was a great read. A raw, rich, intense read.
Overall, I would rate it 4 stars. Looking forward to more of Bethany’s work.
