Description

A comforting and tender picture book starring an adorable mom and baby otter pair for children ages 3-7 to reassure them that they can always count on their parents’ love.

“Oh, Miko,” said Mom softly. “I could count on and on and never reach the end of my love for you.”

Adorable mother and baby otter pair Mom and Miko love each other hundreds and thousands and millions! As much as the flowers in the meadow, the silvery fish in the river, the shiny stones on the beach, and all the stars in the sky. That’s a whole lot of love! This is a sweet, heartwarming story about the enormous love between grown-up and child.

Thank you to NetGalley and Tiger Tales for providing an advance reading copy.

I Love You Millions is a gentle, heartfelt picture book that reminds readers that love isn’t something you can measure—it’s someone you can always count on.

Miko and his mom spend the day trying to express just how much they love each other, with each new comparison growing bigger than the last. What begins as a fun counting game gradually transforms into a beautiful message about unconditional love and dependable relationships. The ending was especially touching, shifting the focus from counting how much love there is to knowing there is always someone you can count on.

The illustrations are absolutely stunning. The watercolor artwork is filled with soft blues, warm sunsets, and tiny details that reward slowing down and exploring each page. I found myself lingering over the illustrations, noticing hidden wildlife and the quiet ways the artwork strengthened the emotional connection between Miko and his mom.

This is a wonderful choice for bedtime, family read-alouds, baby showers, and anyone looking for a comforting story about love that children will understand now and appreciate even more as they grow.

Recommended for: families with young children, bedtime reading, libraries, and anyone looking for a picture book that celebrates unconditional love with beautiful artwork.

This is such a cute story with cute and creative illustrations. I think this is the perfect book to read to your child (especially from a mom to a child), at bedtime or storytime to let them know how much you love them. It uses cute language and could even end up changing the way you say I love you to your kid or they say it back.

Thank you to NetGalley for providing this book for free as an ARC in exchange for an honest review.

Such a cute little book about a mother’s love for her child. Doesn’t matter that they are otters, their love for each other is lovely. A perfect book for any little child.

Thank you, NetGalley, for this ARC! The illustrations are absolutely beautiful; enthralling and ethereal. As a new mom to a little boy, and a loss mama to two babies, the story of how much this mama otter loves her baby was so sweet, and I understand the infinite love she has for her baby. Thank you for this beautiful story. It seems like it will be a classic, like "Love You Forever." I look forward to reading it to my son.

This was the sweetest story for children about how to explain love to children in a concrete way that they can put something physical to. My children love the nut brown hair book and this reminded me of that in the best way. We live in the Midwest and I loved how all the scenes show things in nature that kids are used to seeing and can compare their love to the many numerous and larger than life things they see outside all the time. The illustrations were beautiful and so perfect for the story and we absolutely love otters this was just the cutest! The counting was also great to have for learning and comparing for kids. Thank you NetGalley for the chance to read this early and know how much my kids already love it so that I can purchase it for them to read again and again!

This is the perfect bedtime book to read with the connections it helps strengthen with parents and kids. I loved how it was comparing the expansive love but not making it a competition of who could love more. This would be the perfect book to give to a new parent or as a baby shower gift, but also as a gift from a parent to their child.

Thank you to NetGalley, Tiger Tales, and Laura Baker for the ARC, I give my review voluntarily and all opinions are my own.
