Description
New research indicates that microbiota make us who we are. The skin's own ecosystem, its microbiome, is inhabited by diverse microorganisms, most of which are harmless or beneficial. A few are pathogenic and play a role in acne formation.
The author is the founder of Mare-Veronique Skin Care, and has formulated natural products for sun protection and aging skin. Now she takes on acne, with a practical approach that helps teens and adults achieve clear skin when nothing else has worked.

A mostly informative and valuable resource for those seeking to cure acne using natural remedies. I found much of the information useful - but also overwhelming. Where to find all these ingredients, for instance? How to administer them? The easiest solution, I thought, would be to find a therapist who deals in these natural remedies and go along to him or her. But as a guide to starting to think of more natural solutions to acne - for teens or for adults - this serves as a good starting point.
This is book bursting with information, and very welcome as the options down the conventional medical route in the UK are very limited. Namely antibiotics and chemical washes. The amount of information and advice in the book is just a little overwhelming and I would advise starting small and increasing your routine of holistic options gradually. I read it in the hope of helping my teenage son but introducing everything at once would be too much. We would never go back to antibiotics as we found the side affects awful, let alone the hidden damage to his body. One bit of advice I will definitely be taking will be to search out a good dermatologist for him. It is a good informative book, and an excellent resource for anyone wanting to learn more about treating these kinds of skin conditions. The best thing is the holistic whole body approach, and looking towards treatments without antibiotics. Thank you, a very welcome and needed book
