Suzanne Mattaboni is a fiction writer, poet, essayist, PR professional, Newsweek Expert Forum contributor, and former reporter for Newsday. She writes women’s fiction and horror, among other genres. Her debut novel Once in a Lifetime (coming-of-age women’s fiction set in the 1980s) was an Eric Hoffer Finalist; the winner of a Pencraft Award, an IPPY independent publishers award, a London Book Festival Award, and an International Book Award. One of her short stories, included in her new short story collection Gore, Lust & Kin, was nominated for a Pushcart Prize.
