This is a beautiful book. I love the illustrations. I appreciate that this non-fiction book for children combines science, mythology, and social history. This book would pair well with a class lesson. At first, the book can feel overwhelming, but it contains a wealth of useful information that can be easily broken into small chunks for a group of children. The illustrations alone will keep children engaged and wanting to know more. I know that's what kept me coming back! I will buy a physical copy when it comes out.

This book is beautiful! In many ways. Firstly, Saskia Gwinn’s writing and tone make it such a fun read that I think kids of all ages will enjoy. While the littlest of readers may find there to be a little too much information the first go around, the more they grow and the more they re-read, the more interesting it will become! Theia has a lot of amazing answers to a lot of kids’ favourite Why questions.

Secondly, the art? The art is stunning. Katie Cottle has made some beautiful illustrations that bring our solar system, our plants, and our animals to life. The colours, the little faces, the textures are all little pieces of a large piece of art.

I cannot wait to purchase a physical copy of this book for my friends’ little ones!

This is a beautiful non-fiction book that teaches kids about the planets and the solar system. The illustrations are beautiful and the writing is a perfect narrative non-fiction that is enticing and exciting. Kids will love this book if they are fans of outer space and also looking for some more in depth information!

This was so informative and cute! I loved the illustrations. My son is 3 so it was a little over his head but he loved the pictures and theia as a character. I enjoyed the rest. Thank you for this! I would love to purchase a copy to donate to my sons class!

This book has something for everyone! Packed with astronomy, mythology, physics, earth sciences, evolution - it's sure to delight any science-curious reader! The pictures are formatted in a way that they are colorful and interesting, and the facts are digestible for middle grade readers, but could easily be tweaked for a younger audience without losing too much of the information. I was pleasantly surprised by this one but am very excited to include it in my library's collection.

A ton of fun sized information with engaging pictures.

Theia is a story of how the Earth and Moon came to be what we know today. There is a lot of fascinating information in this book, and the story is told in such an entertaining way. This book reminds me of the Stacy McAnulty series about space/planets. Fans of that series will definitely enjoy this one. The illustrations are really engaging as well. I really enjoyed this book and we will definitely purchase this for our Non-Fiction collection.
