6 stars. I LOVED this book. I love reading stories about successful women to my daughter. I had never heard of these women before and what they accomplished, especially for that time is so admirable. I love love loved this book. Illustration was also great.

The visuals in this title are stunning. Colorful, bright, engaging, and the mixed media of place real, historical newspaper cuttings also makes for fantastic illustrations. The text is also well done and deftly navigates the topics of certain civil rights as well as sexism, with wonderful representation and progressiveness. Fantastic book with lots of supplementary information in the back. Looking forward to adding this to my library's collection!
