Description
She buried her daughter. Made a deal with a demon. Then went hunting.
When Sabyse’s daughter is murdered on her wedding day, the corrupt authorities can’t help.
Thaena Ashmore can. She's a legendary demonic assassin. Except she's done with human vengeance and has little interest in anything except mourning her lost love.
To gain the vengeance she craves, Sabyse has no choice but to shatter Thaena's peaceful retirement, forcing the assassin into a contract that drags her back onto the path of blood. Bound by a fraught alliance, the two women must navigate a conspiracy that stretches back fifty years and confront their own terrible truths.
A dark fantasy featuring crime lords, necromancers, supernatural warfare, and long-dead secrets that refuse to stay buried. Perfect for fans of ML Wang's The Sword of Kaigen, and Joe Abercrombie's Best Served Cold.

Advance Praise
"The Demon’s Peace ended up being much more emotionally layered than I expected. I went in anticipating a dark supernatural story filled with demons, ghosts, revenge, and questionable life choices, and I definitely got all of that, but the grief and trauma at the center of the story were what really stuck with me."
4.5/5 - Sassy, Goodreads (ARC Reviewer)
"Oh now, this was dark. It went dark places; I don’t think there was a single moment of pure light or happiness in the whole book, and you know what? I’m fine with that. This isn’t a heroic redemption narrative, it’s a wisdom narrative, a painful process of self-discovery. It’s mature and very satisfying." - Kyla Ward, beta reader

Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for providing me with an advance copy. All opinions are my own.
Okay, THIS is the kind of dark and unsettling horror I’m always looking for. Demon’s Peace pulled me in with its sinister atmosphere and slowly built-up sense of dread. There’s something especially creepy about demonic horror when you can feel that things are getting worse long before the characters fully understand what they’re dealing with.
I really enjoyed the darker tone of this one. It had that uncomfortable feeling of knowing something is terribly wrong but not knowing exactly how bad things are going to get. The tension kept building, and I found myself wanting to keep reading just to see where everything would ultimately lead.
What worked for me most was the atmosphere. I’m always looking for horror that makes me feel uneasy, not just books that rely on gore or shock value, and this one gave me plenty of that darker, supernatural feeling I crave.
Creepy, sinister, and full of demonic darkness, Demon’s Peace was a fun addition to my horror reading list.

I really enjoyed this one! The fantasy world pulled me in right away, and I loved the mix of magic, danger, and larger-than-life creatures. There was a strong sense of adventure throughout the story, and I especially enjoyed the moments when the characters were faced with impossible choices and had to figure out who they could trust.
The magic and darker elements were definitely some of my favorite parts. There were plenty of tense moments, and I liked seeing how the characters continued to grow as the story unfolded. The giant demon on the cover definitely caught my attention, and I loved getting more of that epic, dangerous feeling within the story itself.
There were a few parts where the pacing felt a little uneven for me, and I occasionally wanted a little more development in certain areas, but overall I had a great time with this book. It was an exciting fantasy adventure with magic, danger, complicated characters, and plenty of moments that kept me invested.
