Fourteen-year-old Danah has an eating disorder. As it whittles away her body, her mind suffers far more abuse from Ed, a little voice who seeks to tear Danah away from her family, friends, and reality. This book is a personal diary written by the author, who struggled with this disease for four years. I don't think this book is meant for enjoyment as a work of fiction, but it serves to let young girls know that they are not alone, that they can fight this voice, this illness, and that there is a light at the end of the tunnel. This book gives teens, parents, and teachers a look into how this illness ravages the mind and that the eating disorder is only a symptom of much bigger issues.
