Very Good Fantasy , my first book from this author but will not be my last!!

Kind of like the Hatfields vs. the McCoys, but in space. There was adventure and a compelling love story. Really good read.

This is a very intense book filled with political agendas. The main characters are like Romeo and Juliet but they aren't about to give up their lives easily no matter what happens with their families. The battles are fought in space and on alien planets. The main agenda for the families is power. But love is all the main characters really want.

The characters are well developed although the Father / Son names were confusing.
The story itself is well written and I will certainly be reading book two when it is released.

Great read. Loved the characters and world that have been created. Great twists and turns.

A little too violent for my tastes, but still this book was great! It was edge-of-your-seat action since practically the first page. Comron and Vaush have a soul altering love which seems to beat all odds. I was worried about Comron's instantly resorting to violence for everything and his maybe inheriting his fathers craziness, so I already downloaded the next book to try to find out...

This was a long, but good read. The story combines romance, jealousy, war, intrigue, all occurring in space empire. Vaush and Comron are from 2 different house who have been enemies since an uprising occurred many years ago. They both arrive on a planet and as they are travelling their transport is shot down. Comron is gravely injured and Vaush decides to save his life against her better judgement, They are both attracted to each other but use hurtful words to deny their feelings. They fall in love while trying to survive assassins sent to kill Comron. Comron has very deep family issues and a mental connection with his "father" that causes him to do things he would rather not be a part of. He is also engaged to be married in order to bring an alliance to their planet. Vaush is not who she appears to be, for she cares much about people and does many charities herself. Her true identity has been hidden by her supposed father, who wants to use her for his own advancement. Both Comron and Vaush have been betrayed by their families in some way. When Comron learns Vaush's true heritage, he believes the only way to protect her is by marriage, even though he loved her when he believed she was his mortal enemy. Vaush is hurt when she learns the truth that Comron had hidden from her, but she still loves his. They travel throughout space to reclaim Vaush's birthright and avoiding all the people who want them dead. Vaush and Comron keep their marriage and eventual mating a secret, knowing that there will be a time and place to reveal the truth, for an even more sinister enemy lurk in their future.......

I very much liked this book. It was thrilling from start to finish. It had everything that you could want from a book - great story with love and battles and intrigue. I very much look forward to reading the concluding part.

I so love a good space opera filled with space and land battles, impossible relationship and interstellar politics. And I do have to say that the THRONE OF NOVOXOS has all of those and more.



When I first started reading the book and met Comron I was immediately taken back to Dune but that impression didn't last for long. While there are politics, they seem to be more approachable then the ones in the old sci-fi standby. And to tell you the truth, I found Comron to be a bit of an ass. I know that a good portion of that is his upbringing by his insane father but still.



The character that I really liked is the one that Comron fell in love with Vaush. She is down to earth and just wants to make the world, or in this case worlds, a better place for everyone to live. So of course she saves Comron even though their families are deadly enemies because that is the type of person she is.



I really enjoyed THRONE OF NOVOXOS with its fast pacing, interesting characters, an unauthorized love and danger around every turn. I do think that my readers who enjoy space opera will enjoy it. There are a few sex scenes but nothing too graphic so this book would work for older teens as well as adults.
