An uplifting, emotional historical romance, following a troupe of ENSA entertainers as they cheer up the troops fighting in World War Two.

Her heart is breaking, but the show must go on…

June 1940. After the invasion of France, the women of the Forces Follies ENSA company know that never has their work raising troop morale mattered more.

A former child star, twenty-year-old acrobat Pam Sheridan has entertainment in her blood. However, when her Italian sweetheart Angelo is interned, Pam agonises over the fact that it may be years before she is reunited with the man she loves. With an imminent German invasion on the horizon and the Battle of Britain raging overhead, she finds it hard to keep smiling for the frightened young soldiers she must entertain.

As weeks turn into months with still no word from Angelo, Pam starts to fear he may have been taken far away across the sea – or worse, forgotten her altogether. Can Pam and her friends keep smiling through, or will her sunny disposition be crushed by what she’s lost?

An emotional and romantic read set in World War Two.
