Description
Jin Kazama, the new leader of the Mishima Zaibatsu, the world dominating mega-conglomerate, has collapsed into a mysterious coma. But that doesn't stop his father Kazuya Mishima from coming after him. The Mishima Zaibatsu had been Kazuya's before Jin took it from him in the King of Iron Fist Tournament 5. Intent on revenge, Kazuya established G. Corporation, with its lethal Jack robots, in order to declare open war against his son.
Hidden in the secret chambers of rural Russia under the care of Dr. Bosconovitch, Jin sleeps for no apparent reason. But even here he is far from safe. In a family where fathers kill sons, and sons kill fathers, it is Jin's fate to fight for his life. Kazuya's father Heihachi Mishima, aging but still greedy and ambitious, is also drawn into the battle. The events lead inexorably back to the deserted island where the Mishima Clan was first given their demonic powers, 450 years ago, and where fathers and sons again face off in an epic battle, winner take all. Ancient secrets are revealed, alliances are formed and broken, demons emerge, and fists fly in this action-packed thriller. Tekken favorites including Dr. Bosconovitch, Nina Williams, Eddy Gordo, Bruce Irvin, Anna Williams, Sergei Dragunov, Raven, and Lars Alexandersson all take sides in the war. Will the demon curse reign forever? Can anything stop the Mishima bloodlust?
This is the official translation of the popular Japanese novel published in 2011, and the first English-language Tekken novelization.

I received an ARC from the publisher via NetGalley in exchange for an honest review.
Nostalgia. That's the first thing I thought when I saw my favorite game being novelized. It's been years since the last time I played this game and I really miss it! I didn't even know it's a novel.
It's exciting to see the rivalry between Jin Kazama, the current head of Mishima Zaibatsu; The King of Iron Fist Tournament 5 and Kazuya Mishima -Jin's father and son to Heihachi Mishima - who lost in the tournament making him the former head of the Mishima Zaibatsu and current head of G. Corporation in which he uses against his son. The story begins when Jin passed out for no reason and was taken to Russia for Dr. Bosconovitch to determine its cause.
The Mishima family has Devil Gene and these men will not hesitate to kill each other regardless of blood. It was a never ending curse which ends up in war. Jin's life isn't safe, some people are protecting him and some wants to hunt him down. Each chapter of this book have different character appearances like Eddy Gordo, Nina Williams, Anna Williams, Raven, Bruce Irvin, Sergei Dragunov, Lars Alexandersson etc.. And they all have significant roles in the story.
The actions scenes were detailed and it's quite challenging to picture them in your head unlike when you're playing the game. Still, it's written greatly written. Overall, it's an entertaining, fun and easy to read. Surely gamers or Tekken fans will enjoy reading this.

The book was great. It is action packed and the plot is very entertaining. It is a very good read for everyone who enjoys a story full of action.

I found this title quite difficult to get into at first, I've played the games for many years and so have ideas of the characters in my head. Once I got over this I found myself carried away by the story and the mystery. Jin Kazuma will always be my hero!
