I was given a copy of Retribution through the publisher and their partnership with Netgalley in exchange for my honest review which is as follows:

Lillian had once been a trial attorney free to do what she pleased. But two years ago she lost her husband and daughter in a fire everyone thought she had started. Soon she decides it's time to move away, when she is given a job opportunity away from home she takes it.

Soon Lillian finds herself being introduced to her new home with a traffic ticket.

Roger threatens to evict a tenant and when he does that the tenant threatens Lillian, someone he is starting to fall for.

Blood coated hands.

Lillian was followed to her new home by someone from her old life, someone determined to see that she was punished.

Lillian turns to Roger for protection but will trusting him cost her everything once more?

I give Retribution five out of five stars

Happy Reading...

This is an impressive suspense novel in how it keeps you guessing with all the twists and turns and how you guess wrong as to what is wrong and that is the sign of an incredibly impressive book this is my friends. This is heartbreaking because Lillian was accused of killing her husband and daughter in a arson/murder but they didn't charge her - she was innocent but people already made up their mind up and charged her guilty. All her so called friends turned their backs and talked about her. So when she got offered a job somewhere else half-way across the country she jumps on it - but what she didn't know someone followed her - that person did something to her that you will not believe - I could not believe what they did and who it was. Though she was in danger there was one person she could rely on - Roger - and then most important of all GOD - how can you lose - well I am still in shock now when I think about it - now that is how good the book is - you think about it even when you are done - so, What happens to Lillian? What happens to Roger now that he is helping Roger and there is someone trying to get to Lillian? Will Lillian ever get her life back? Will Lillian make it to the end of the book? What will happen between Lillian and Roger OR is it just a serious friendship? There is one thing that I am really disappointed in.............the book ended:)

This book was an okay read, but I found that it wasn't quite what I like reading. I found it hard to immerse myself into it, but I did find it a well written book.

She moves to avoid the control of her parents, but her past seems to be following her. Her new job at a small college may be threatened if people find out about her past. She was the prime suspect in the house fire that killed her husband and young daughter, but she was never prosecuted. She maintains her innocence. Now someone is burning homes again and setting her up the guilty party! She is shocked and upset over the fact that she finds gas cans in her car, after one home fire. She falls in love with a man named Roger and he is very unusual, but she also has a strong attraction to Paul, a local police officer. Roger convinces her that Paul will lock her up in prison if he finds out about her past. Did she set the fires and just doesn't remember? Is she innocent or guilty?

This book had a great deal of suspense and thrills at every turn of the page. It does look look like she is guilty, but will she bef ound guilty and end up in prison? I really enjoyed this book and was caught up in suspense, but my one complaint is that I had a hard time keeping up with the different characters.

I rated this book 4 stars and recommend it to readers of Christian fiction.
This book was a gift and I have chosen to review it.

This was a really enjoyable read with great characters. Although slow in places I did read it all. 4*. I voluntarily reviewed an advanced copy of this book from netgalley.

When Lillian's husband and daughter dies in a fire, she is deserted by her other family and friends who suspect she had something to do with their demise. It doesn't help that once again fires begin under suspicious circumstances in her new home hours away.. She is starting to doubt her own sanity. Can she unravel the mystery before it destroys her too?
