What a cute book!
This book has fiftish pages with cats photographies and bits of texts explaining data about them.
It is a lovely book with very nice pics, and I think kids can take joy by flipping thorugh the pics (I know I did haha) and learning new info about cats!
As a recent cat owner, I was thrilled to read some interesting cat tidbits. many of the facts included were new to me. Kids especially will love the pictures on each page.
What a cute book!
Any cat lover, child or adult, will love this book. There were definitely some facts that I did not know and I loved all of the pictures. I already own 2 cats, but this makes me want more.
Fifty Nifty Facts About Cats was a fun read with its engaging style and beautiful pictures. The facts ranged from very informative to silly and is written clearly. My daughter, who has two kitty-cats of her own, loved looking at the variety of cats. Absolutely delightful.
Thank you to Netgalley and Vulpine Press for allowing me to review the book.
Lots of adorable photographs of cats and kittens accompany fifty facts about cats, some well known and others that people may not have heard before. From how cats fit through spaces the size of their heads due to free floating collar bones to the fact that adult cats only meow at humans, I learned quite a few fun facts about cats from this book. I did not know that unlike most mammals, cats can drink seawater because their kidneys filter out salt. I wonder if that is part of why they survived so well on ships? I received this book free to review from Netgalley and I highly recommend it.
If you are the proud owner of a cat like I am or just love cats then this book is for you! It does in fact have fifty facts, some of which I had not known about. This wonderful book has beautiful full color photos and makes a wonderful coffee table book. Both my son and I enjoyed devouring this book. I highly recommend!
As the owner of two cats we loved this book. We learned things we did not know yet and some we did plus the pictures were adorable.
I must confess that I am not a cat lover - I am rather the dog kind of person - but I am always curious about good written books. Especially when it comes to transmitting in a simple yet attractive way basic scientific books to children. This book is a good example in this respect, combining very attractive pictures - my one-year old son couldn't stop laughing at them, and he seems to be a very cat person - with good written text. Although you are not a child in love with animals - who isn't at this age? - there are many interesting facts shared that does not require an age limit, as one shall always keep learning. For instance, that cats have two senses of smell, that are the most popular pet and that, against all myths, they only have one single life.
Fast and easy lecture with some things to learn, including about how to photograph animals.
