David Blond is a professional economist with 50 years of experience in forecasting and quantifying the world economy. The Phoenix Agenda Trilogy, aside from a good story with real characters, is in the genre of financial and economic thrillers as pioneered by Paul Erdman in the 1980's with his series of best sellers starting with the Billion Dollar Sure Thing, The Siler Bears, etc. The author's goal is to show how in these unsettled economic times, with stock markets collapsing and inflation on the rise, there is hope that a new form of capitalism could emerge more suited to dealing with rising temperatures, seas, droughts, and mass migrations.
