Karen Michalson has taught nineteenth-century British literature and practiced criminal law. Somewhere between literature and law, she formed a rock band, Point of Ares.
Her first three novels, Enemy Glory, Hecate's Glory, and The King's Glory form the Enemy Glory trilogy, a blend of literary fiction and epic fantasy told from the point of view of a brilliant young magic user who rashly and irrevocably aligns himself with evil as a result of an unspeakable betrayal.
The Maenad's God is her fourth novel. She describes her novels as "Literary fiction tripping the dark fantastic."
