This is a rhyming story about a kitty named Lilykins who spends her days dreaming of adventures. Lilykins is imaginative and bright, and though the illustrations are very simple, they are often humorous. The rhyming couldd be clunky at times but wasn't overwhelmingly terrible. This is a good book for kiddos who love silly cats and researching information on the real Lilykins may be a good activity for children!

Cute little children's book about cats written in rhyme.

I wanted to get my thesaurus out and give it a good workout with this one. I would award one million stars if that were possible. It’s such a sweet enchanting tale of Lilykins, a cat with a secret life. Her regular life consists of her older cat brother Charlie and the two guys who own her. The story is told in rhyme which I love and it explains just where cats go when you can’t find them. For Lilykins she has been underwater diving, pretending to be a queen and eating the pigeon outside the window. It’s a fun, fantastic, creative bedtime length story. The illustrations are also noteworthy, and they work in sync with the prose to make the total package just adorable. If I had kids under the age of ten, I would buy it in book form.

I read a DRC, but it’s free on Amazon Kindle Unlimited! (as of today anyhow)

I loved the rhyming verse in this book and also the fact that Lilykins the cat was owned by, or rather owned as cats do, a (presumably) gay couple. The pictures were ok, some better than others, and I enjoyed the fun storyline. However, what concerned me the most was that Lilykins ate a meal of tuna and chocolate, and chocolate is very bad for cats. I'm worried that a young child after reading this book or being read to, might copy this and feed their own cat chocolate.

Cute little book! Young cat fans (and poetry fans, too) will enjoy this rhyming book about what are cats daydream about! Cute illustrations, too! Likely age group to enjoy this book is 6-9

This book was good, but I think I expected it to be a bit more rhyming. It started off well and the wording jumps about a bit I found. The story is a solid one with some nice images but not sure if we will read it more than a few times. A good read for younger people with cats as its sure to be a hit with them.
