solid book, and solid story. I like the fact that I was more interested in the state of Gwen and Art's marriage moreso than the serial killer plot.

Thank you to netgalley, the publisher and the author for the opportunity to read this book in return for my honest opinion.

This was an exciting first novel in the series, I will definitely be reading the whole series. I read the book very quickly because I couldn’t wait to turn the page to find out the next event. The characters are very interesting and well written, the setting was compelling and I really enjoyed how this book ended, I didn’t suspect the killer at all.
This book is a keeper for sure.

The first in a seven-book series on the seven deadly sins, A Margin of Lust, focused on strictly that- LUST. Gwen Bishop is a real estate agent who lists her dream home and can’t wait to sell it. She loves real estate and the long-term goals she’ll be able to accomplish with the sale of homes. Her husband is a school principal who is very focused on their family and his career as well. As distance comes between Art and Gwen, enter a killer, who has a tie to the house Gwen is trying to sell, with agendas of his own. Soon after the listing for the multi-million dollar home goes on sale, a body is found in the house, and Gwen is part of the clean-up crew, as well as the next target.

Lust manifests in many shapes and sizes in this book, and it was a suspenseful quick read, with well-developed characters and a strong plot line. It makes you question every person that Gwen encounters, and with chapters written from the perspective of the killer, the story pulls you in until you reach the very end. Can’t wait to read The Scent of Wrath, Greta’s second book in the series.

A Margin of Lust is a great mystery book involving the high end real estate world. The small chapters are easy to read. A very good summer book!

A good read, a twist and some parts that keep you sitting on the end of your chair. I found the ending a bit disappointing as it just seemed to end. Despite that I definitely found this an easy read with some good characters.

Her newest listing is just what Realtor Gwen Bishop needs to advance her career to the next level. The view and location are fantastic and she's sure that selling it will lead to bigger and better things. Then a body is discovered in an upstairs bedroom. Someone wants the house, but they don't plan to get it through the usual channels. I enjoyed this one. The killer is appropriately creepy and the characters are believable. Gwen and her husband are growing apart, but both are sympathetic characters. I enjoyed this one and I'm looking forward to the second book in the series, which will feature two of the more interesting secondary characters.

This is the definition of a throwaway thriller. It's fast paced and exciting, but it's not clever and it's not particularly unique.

I liked the premise being about an estate agent trying to sell a million-dollar home, while someone else, our killer, wanted to keep the house off the market for himself. It was unique enough and what initially drew me into requesting this. Another big part of this story was marriage under stress, between our two main characters, Gwen & Art. I found this part of the story a little bit annoying and the way things happened between them at times, felt unrealistic. I understand that this book was supposed to represent the pressures of work life, marriage life and lusting after what you think you deserve, but it wasn't necessary.  It could have made a more unique book without the domestic part to it.

In terms of characters, there are quite a few to keep up with, but it doesn't ever become confusing as to who is who. Gwen, our main character was a little hysterical, which definitely got on my nerves on more than one occasion, and I think she treated her husband unfairly, but it was fun to see her playing detective. Art's character was OK, nothing special. Honestly the story could have been just as good without his character. Side characters like Maricela and Lance were interesting and well developed, but all complete cliches.

For me, this is definitely one of the easiest to guess thrillers. At 44% there is a scene where Boris practically hands you the killer's name on a plate. Usually, this annoys me, but I didn't mind it so much with this one because I didn't think it was going to be shockingly twisty and turny from the start.

This book is a perfect holiday read. It's good but not great. You'll find yourself whizzing through it, but it won't take up too much headspace.

I found this book a little slow to get into, but, once I had got a good way into the book I thought it started to move a little quicker and became a very good read. I would still recommend this book to others

Gwen and her battle to maintain her job and marriage provided an interesting and mysterious plot line. I enjoyed the change in narration and the surprising ending.

Greta Boris' first novel of her 'Seven Deadly Sins' series focuses on Gwen Bishop, an ex actress who has turned her hand to Real Estate. Her real estate career is booming when all of a sudden, one day she comes across a brutally murdered dead body in one of her listings. When it's clear there is a serial killer of real estate employees on the loose, everyone is on high alert and we are left wondering who the killer might possibly be.

A Margin of Lust had all the potential of being a top book, but just felt like it never took off for me unfortunately.

*Thank you to Netgalley and the publisher for an ARC in exchange for an honest review.

A good book overall, i enjoyed the entire story plot. I did find the book to be a slow read though, not the fast paced thriller reads I'm use to. It was a good story plot, i didn't expect the murderer to be someone they interacted with almost daily, but just something seemed to be missing from the plot. Most books i can dive into and forget everything and everyone around me, this book felt just that-a book; not an escape where you can picture yourself with the character. I would recommend to others, since others may find it more fit for them. Just personally wasn't one of my favorites.

Gwen Bishop is a real estate agentwho has landed a dream listing, only problem is the dead body in the bedroom, it’s the body of another estate agent.

Her husband Art is an acting principle of St Barnabas Lutheran School, if he wants the job to continue he will need the support of his wife at school functions.

Between juggling their jobs around their family of three children something will give. Neither of them want to lose what they have built up in their carrers, and cracks start to show in their marriage.

The murder of the estate agent is similar to others in Texas. This gives Art the excuse that Gwen should scale back her work or stop altoether.

There is alot going on in this book, with lots of quick chapters. The perspective of the murderer gives an insight into his life and his feelings, that gives him the justification for doing what he does. The story focuses more on Gwen than Art, giving her a better character, but there is enough abou Art to show him as a compassionate and caring man.

The story is about a relationship that is under pressure from work, murder and the lusting after what you want. Whether it is a sale, the better job or what you rightfully think is yours. I didn’t see the murderers identity in the story, when he was unmasked it was very subtle and had to go back , re-read that section to make sure i had read it right.

Because there are alot of quick chapters the story unfolds a little slower, allowing the characters to develop, and started to quicken up towards the end. A good read and would definitley recommend to others.

A good marriage story with a thriller built in. This is what happens when as a couple's forget to communicate with each other and when life gets to busy. Enjoyed the build up but thought the end was squeezed in a little to quickly.

4 and 1 / 2 stars

This is the story of Gwen and Art, but also so much more. Art is a private high school principal with a heart bigger than all outdoors. Gwen is a real estate agent and has been with this agency for three years.

Gwen lands a contract with a multi-million dollar property fronting the ocean. It needs a lot of help, but she can somewhat set it to rights. She wants this sale very badly and is willing to do almost anything to secure it.

She and her husband are feeling some distance in their marriage. Gwen is unwilling to go to his school events like other wives. Art is so tired from giving himself all the time, he feels as though there is not much left over for Gwen.

And…there is a serial killer on the loose who is targeting real estate agents. The police haven’t got a clue who is committing the murders. The real estate agency comes up with the idea of a buddy system. Gwen buddies up with Lance. Lance is a gorgeous younger man. You see the problem.

This book is about lust; the lust for a sale, the lust for justice and just plain old lust.

This is a very well written story. We get sufficient background on Gwen and the killer, but not so much on Art. The book is well plotted and moves along nicely. Greta Boris is a very good writer and I will definitely look into her other books.

I want to thank Netgalley and Fawkes Press for forwarding to me a copy of this very likeable book.

Without going into spoilers, a killer is on the loose, he wants a house, he kills real estate agents, but doesn't kill the one person he should be killing if he wants the house! I did not understand why.
