I got hook right the minute I saw the cover on NetGalley and I'm instantly requested it and yes, it is superbly wonderful! The contents in it are so beautiful, very eye-catching, the illustration is on point and the most important is, it does the job to lift up my spirit, motivate me. I totally love it.

This was so calming and soothing that I fell asleep.

Excellent.
If I had tons of money I would purchase multiple copies for lots of elementary students in my school and share its suggestions.
Packed with a variety of suggestions focusing on teens ( but not limited to) there are numerous suggestions to help the reader to destress. The illustrations allow the reader to clearly follow each yoga pose.
I'm a senior and I found this book very helpful!

Interesting information, useful tips and cool projects. I especially liked the challenges and the recipes, I have to try them someday. And I adored the lovely design. While I think the book, in general, is interesting, I already knew/practice some of the things mentioned, and that's why this might be more recommendable for a younger audience.

Obviously I am not 9-13 (I'm 22), but I have an awful time dealing with all three items in the title. Calming down, de-stressing, and feeling great. If I would have had a book like this when I was that age, it would have helped SO MUCH through out middle and high school and into adulthood. I really liked it. It was fun and easy.

For Parents: Even if you don't think your kid has problems with any of these things, get them. Because one day they will. Whether it is in middle school, high school, college, or being an adult. It would be excellent for young kids (Male and Female) to learn little techniques to "declutter the soul."

This book provides simple easy techniques for Stress. I love that it points out that it is not a medical professional guide. The techniques are wonderful ideas for stress. But the guide is a basic everyday thing. I do not see anything that makes this book stand out. It's a guide I would pick off the shelves, look at and then put back. I honestly probably wouldn't purchase this book or recommend it to others. The ideas of the book are great but just too basic. The ideas are basic in the way, that you just hear them everywhere. This is the biggest issue I had when reading this book.

I was given the opportunity to review an advance copy of this book. Thanks, NetGalley!

First, the good news:
- There is much to appreciate about this book, which offers a sound overview of life-affirming practices that a young woman can do to bolster her health and happiness. I'm a life coach: these are the kinds of things I encourage clients to do, so...bravo!
- The focus on PRACTICES is so important. Too many self-help books focus on reframing beliefs. This is super important. However, the do-now quality of the colorfully illustrated suggestions (50 of them) emphasizes that our lives are most likely to change when we change our actions, especially routines.
- So many of the young women represented in the splashy, pastel-colorful graphics are long-haired and normatively attractive. However, there is at least a nod to non-binary representations. I appreciate the ethnic diversity in the illustrations.

Some caveats:
- I would have appreciated some bibliography or resource recommendations at the end.
- I'm not sure how well the graphics and format of this book will weather. It may feel dated very soon. On the other hand, if it helps a largish handful of young women (and/or others) in the immediate future, that's still an important contribution, right?
- As an educator I would welcome some sort of graphic organizer at the end to help readers reflect on what projects they've tried, for how long, and the readers' thoughts/evaluations/successes.

As an educator, I would feel comfortable recommending this resource to teenagers and young adults as a user-friendly overview of healthy self-care practices. Much fodder for discussion here, especially with your life coach!

I loved this book. Not only was each page aesthetically pleasing but the information was truly helpful. As I was reading I couldn't help feeling a bit nostalgic for the books I used to read growing up, so it was no surprise when I found out that the Aubre is a former American Girl editor. AG was a huge voice in my pre-teen years but I remember hitting a certain age when I was no longer considered part of their target audience and it felt sort of like losing a big sister. A lot of the time these books are aimed at the years just before teens, forgetting that teenagers also need the guidance - which is why I believe this book will be a guiding hand to many.

This book comes out right before my best friend's birthday, and you can bet I'll be sending it to her!

Aesthetic wise, I loved the calm colors and scrapbook-quality to this book. I appreciated so much all the images of real girls and how they were intermixed with illustrations. I mention the looks of the book first because I think if it were more clinical it would have been harder to read and pay attention to, so I appreciated the attention to detail and the design appropriate to the reader.

The content was informative and presented in a very accessible way; I'm 19, so I might be a little older than the intended age group, but I couldn't help but wish I'd had this book when I was in high school! I appreciated as well the wide variety of options presented, and, shall I purchase it (which is a good possibility), I'm sure I'll find myself flipping through it when I need self care ideas.

As far as reviewing/talking about this book, I plan to mention it in a non-fiction children/YA round up on my blog (robinowensmusic.com/blog) which I will probably post next week (and add the review when it's published). I will also be mentioning it in my monthly reading wrap up for July on my YouTube channel, youtube.com/therobinowensmusic, at the end of the month.

This is a wonderful guide to lowering your stress level. The author has provided many ways for anyone to incorporate the de-stress techniques here. This will improve your health and well being as you put these to tools to work . I incorporated many of the ideas here that do not take much time and are very sensible. I highly recommend this book for improving ones health.

Such a great and appropriate book for teens. We see so many of our students struggling with anxiety and general overload, and this books walks them through some great tools for coping. It is attractively laid out, and translates sometimes esoteric material into something clear and practical.

This is a good book to read along with your teenage daughter or to give it to her as a present. The book provides with techniques to cam and distress for adults alone too. Why not to give it as a present to a friend? Overall, I recommend it. We all need the way to bond with our family, to destress and to enjoy our lives.

*I received a free ARC in exchange for an honest review*
I'm going to be honest. I had never read one of those self-help books, but this book had this great cover and so I HAD to read it. I have tried some of the techniques and was surprised to see that they worked! Today I had a really important exam so this helped me a lot! And it had this cutesy Mr. Wonderful vibe that's all the rage right now.
I had just one problem with the format. As I read it in my ebook, I had to turn a looot of pages just to find the one I wanted. It'd have been nice to put links in the summary so it'd have been easier.

So in my humble opinion, because I don't really know that much about this genre, it is a great book, with really upbeat aesthetics.

This is a fantastic book full of tips and activities geared towards destressing and improving overall health. Between the concise chapters, the colorful artwork, and the ideas, I would gladly place this in the hands of every teenage girl that comes to my library and tell them to read it - often. I even took notes of things that I want to try out. Fantastic job!

Review: Now you all know I love a good mystery/thriller or chick lit read, but this book here was a five star read all the way. Why? Because I can’t think of a single person who wouldn’t benefit from it. In fact, I’m thinking of buying this book for each of my clients for Christmas this year. With it’s September release, it’ll be perfect timing.

Reasons I loved this book:
1. Tips to feel good

5. All the ideas were simple, simple, simple
6. Well-organized and categorized so you can go back to it an anytime and find what you are looking for
7. Can help with almost every aspect of life

I know this book is listed as YA but it really is for everyone. Really.
