Alexis has fallen hard for Blake, one of the triplet brothers who run Ace Security. A continuation for the first book which has Alexis helping the guys take down one of the gangs in Denver. I liked it, and like seeing people from book 1 too. Would recommend, but wish she would have had more training before getting involved.

Alexis and Blake were an interesting couple. The premise in this story still stemmed from book one and it continued the whole plot. I wanted to know more v about Grace's pregnancy with the twin boys. Grace was a firecracker. Blake was hot and passionate. I am looking forward to reading the next story.

5 Sleek and Sexy Stars

Susan Stoker has met and exceeded my expectations for Blake and Alexis's story! Blake is the perfect sexy Alpha with a pure heart of gold. He is the perfect combination of protective growly badass and soft sweet lover. Alexis is the heroine you cannot help but love. I loved her tenacity and toughness when we first met her in Logan's story. In this book, she is the woman you cannot help but admire for her desire to do the right thing, without concern for what she may have to do in the process. Alcohol also leads to some funny, sweet and sexy dialogue between these characters and absolutely made me fall in love with Blake even more. When all is said and done we have a sexy couple, both capable of being strong, for themselves and for those they love and protect. Pick up this book today! You will be happy you did.

Another amazing Anderson brother meets his match!!!!

I LOVE Susan Stoker books and this series is awesome. I do not want to lay out the book, but I will say, as with all of Susan's books there is action, suspense, great plot, and relatable characters.

Action and emotion are a great combination…

Susan Stoker is one of my favourite authors of military romance. She knows how to dig into people’s heads, root around, and discover how they really tick. Labels, exteriors, they don’t always tell the full story – most often they don’t – so when you take the time to dig deeper, it’s amazing what you find…

And that couldn’t be more true than with Alexis Grant. Labelled a rich girl, there was a lot more to her, to who she was and what she cared about, than that. Blake Anderson was going to find out as Lex was the newest recruit at Ace Security and there was no room for people who didn’t carry their own weight.

Working undercover, Lex uses contacts she already has to use her rich girl persona to good advantage. She is not a spoiled woman but a person with depth and character to spare, if you took the time to look. Blake is there to support and watch her. While trust comes slowly, he soon realizes Lex has hidden depths and he is falling for all of them…
There is humour and heat and danger aplenty as their working relationship becomes a whole hella lot more…

So good!

This is book two and you can't tell that it's book two because it hasn't slowed down. Usually by this time these kind of books start to get repetitive but these have just gotten better and this was the case with this one.

I loved the hero and heroine in this book. I would dare say that I liked them better than I liked the first book! The first book I think was just explaining everything and this one had the groundwork already laid. If you're a fan of the author this is a definite read.

In this installment of the Ace Security series, the second Anderson brother falls. Blake Anderson wasn't sure what to expect from rich girl Alexis Grant. Determined to help put away the gang that kidnapped Grace and her brother, Alexis joins the Ace Security team surprising them all with her talent and backbone. Her courage and sassiness drive Blake wild and the attraction between them is becoming more and more difficult to ignore. She is beautiful, funny, intriguing, and more committed to her job than he gave her credit for. What he doesn't know is that her commitment has nothing to do with Ace and everything to do with Blake. Alexis fell for Blake when she first met him. Too bad he didn't feel the same way. He saw her as flighty and was sure she would be bailing on them soon. Yet, the deeper she got with the gang, the quicker Blake realized that Alexis was the one for him and it was his job not only to keep her safe but happy. A sexy and action-packed tale of love, with the good guys fighting bullies once more.

When I requested this book I didn't know it was part of a series so I had to go read the first book so I could understand some of what was been said at the beginning of this one. Yup, you read it right. You might need to read this series in order even though it is a different couple each.

I do have to say that I liked this book much more than the first. Blake and Alexis are charged with the task of finding a connection between a local gang and Grace's parents from book one, or I should say Alexis volunteered and Blake just wants her safe.

I liked that situations this couple got into and how they bantered with each other but there was something missing. That romantic connection was missing at times and there where a lot of not very believable situations.

I am sorry to say that I might not try this author again.

Alexis is enjoying her new found job at Ace Security. She has turned her brush with them as the sister of an unintentional blackmailer in to career! If only she could get Blake to see her as something other than a colleague. But that would mean staying at the firm longer than it takes her to get revenge on the gang who targeted her brother. That's not part of her plan!

She also has a tough time realising that she is a likable person. She was always targeted by those who wanted her family's money and she tried to hide from the "rich girl" stereotype a much as she can. Does she have a nice flat and car? Yes. Does she treat everyone else as a lowly peon? Heck no!!

But can she pull off the ultimate undercover job. Making nice with one her former mean girl friends to get the scoop on her involvement in the gang that Ace Security are after?

Blake is typical middle child. He is more chilled than his elder triplet but more assertive than his younger triplet. He has Inca Boyz in his sights and he won't let them escape what they tried to do his sister in law. But working with Alexis has opened his eyes. He had her labelled all wrong and she is a real hard worker and a whizz at social media mining. But he fears that his brother is losing it when he signs off on Alexis going undercover with the gang. He can't believe his brother would think Alexis is an "acceptable" loss!

I loved Alexis. She is no pampered princess and has a very real heart of the bleeding variety. She badly wants to be part of something real, with people who want her, not her cash. Blake is totally in the dark about his attraction to Alexis. She isn't flashy, in his face, or stop the traffic gorgeous. She IS clever, brave, stubborn and unassuming ... and totally under his skin!

I'm on tenterhooks to get my hands on Nathan's story now. I loved the little lead in and can;t wait to see what adventure awaits!

I am normally one to jump right into these books but I could not get into this book. I'm putting it away for another try in a future date and if I ever get through the book I will change my rating.

***3 Stars***

It pains me to say this because I am a huge fan of Susan Stoker, but this one just didn’t do it for me. It was enjoyable and all that, but I just couldn’t get fully invested in the story. Part of my issues stem from a few things that happened early on that just didn’t sit right with me for one reason or another and the other part was that while I liked Blake and Alexis, I didn’t fall in love with either of them. I wanted to and I actually liked how their relationship progressed but my feelings never went beyond like for either of them

As for the main plot line of the book. It was done well, though I did figure out how things would turn out early on, but I liked how it all played out and how it leads us into the next book in the series, Claiming Bailey, which I am looking forward to because not only do I want to know more about Nathan and really liked the little tease/set up of what we have to look forward to.

Claiming Alexis is the second book in Susan Stoker’s Ace Security Series. I did not read the first book, Claiming Grace, so there were a few questions that lingered throughout. However, those gaps in information did not take away from my overall enjoyment of Claiming Alexis. The Ace Security series centers around three brothers who own a security firm in Colorado. They were abused by their mother growing up and eventually, she killed their father, Ace. Because of their abuse, Ace Security focuses on helping victims of abuse.

The three brothers are Logan, Blake, and Nathan Anderson. Logan’s story was featured in the first book, Claiming Grace, where Ace Security rescued his now wife Grace from a dangerous gang called the Inca Boyz. This time, the focus is on Blake Anderson and his budding relationship with Ace Security’s newest employee, Alexis Grant. She initially came aboard to help them take down the Inca Boyz who had kidnapped her brother in the first book. Now, Alexis is finding it hard to hide her attraction to Blake as they work together more and more. Alexis agrees to go undercover to get closer to a former friend who is directly connected to the Inca Boyz. As the intensity of this undercover op increases, so does the relationship between Blake and Alexis. There is plenty of dirty talking before they even get between the sheets. And when they finally do get naked, it’s nothing short of erotic.

The suspense throughout the book is just as intense as Blake and Alexis’ relationship. It was very hard to watch Alexis go into the lion’s den on numerous occasions as she interacted with the Inca Boyz. They were very brutal, callous, and just plain old scary guys who had no regard for women. Consequently, some of the imagery is very disturbing. At some point, I found myself speeding through the book just so that I could see justice served. The gang members had no redeeming qualities whatsoever. The climax was worth the wait and I loved seeing Blake in action doing what the military taught him to do. I look forward to the next book and may have to go back and read the first one.

Nothing is more important to Blake Anderson than the work he does with his brothers at Ace Security. At least that’s what he thinks until he meets the fiercely independent Alexis Grant. The security firm’s new intern pushes all his buttons—and makes his temperature rise. But giving in to temptation might be risky business.

Alexis can tell that Blake has his doubts about her ability to commit. But while most people look at her and see only a flighty rich girl, she knows he sees much more. Determined to prove herself to Blake, Alexis jumps at the chance to work undercover. And when her case takes a dangerous turn, she puts her trust—and her heart—in his hands.

Now, as Alexis digs into the deadly secrets of a local gang, Blake will lay everything on the line to protect the woman he’s come to love.

This series just keeps getting better. Alexis is a very strong woman who will do what is right even though it might put her in danger. And she is so tired to being thought as the stupid little right girl.

Blake is the middle son of the triplets and he really prefers to fade into the background. He's not looking for a relationship but there is just something about Alexis especially when he wasn't able to run her off.

I really enjoyed this book. There was a lot of character interaction including with Grace who pops into the story. The tension and danger is delicious, More then once, I was yelling at Alexis to get her butt out of there.

I think that any of my readers who enjoy romantic suspense with a lot of heat between the main characters will enjoy reading CLAIMING ALEXIS.

*** I received this book at no charge from NetGalley in exchange for a fair and honest review. All opinions expressed within are my own

"Claiming Alexis" by Susan Stoker. Ms. Stoker has a knack for taking a story, filling it with emotion and conveying that emotion through the written word to the reader. I felt everything that our lovely couple, Blake and Alexis, felt as they ventured on their journey. Blake, a strong and super sexy Hero, isn't shy to share his feelings. I loved that. Too often, characters, especially the males, hide from their true feelings of love and the depths of that love. Alexis is such a mix - she's strong on the outside but oh so vulnerable on the inside. Growing up in a rich family, others have labeled her the rich girl and treated her as if she has no feelings and money is her only worth. I liked Alexis and her willingness to try to venture beyond her comfort zone and help others. Together, they are a sweet couple that I believed were in love. The plot is also filled with some tense moments. Ms. Stoker certainly knows how to keep the reader on the edge too. There are some not so nice guys in this story that will do whatever they want to get what they want. If you are looking for a story that has love and a touch of sweet, but filled with danger too, then "Claiming Alexis" is the one for you. This is book two of the series but it can be read as a standalone, however, I highly recommend "Claiming Grace" (book one) as it is another story that kept me wishing I could read faster! (received ARC for honest review)

I was so thrilled to see a few Susan Stoker books in KU. I had read Claiming Grace and was so excited for Alexis and Blake's story. This can be read as a standalone, but it does reference some of the things that happened in Claiming Grace. This story was very fast faced and I couldn't put it down. When Blake and Alexis finally give into their feelings for one another, the heat between them is fierce. Alexis is going under cover for Ace Security and puts herself in a lot of danger. I loved that Alexis was fierce and even when she could have easily broken, she was strong and fought with all she had. This was a great story and sets up perfectly for Nathan's story which is coming next. Great read!

Alexis has always been the poor little rich girl. Not because her family didn’t love her but because all anyone saw was their money and not her. That is until she meets Blake and his brothers. While she tries to be a worthwhile member of their company, they see the real her. But will her efforts cause more harm than good?
Claiming Alexis is second in Susan Stoker’s Ace Security series. I really enjoyed Alexis. She wanted to do more. She wanted to be seen and not just because her parents have money. I loved that she leaped before she looked, mainly because her heart is in the right place. And honestly, I don’t think I will ever look at a man’s arms in quite the same way thanks to Alexis and Ms. Stoker. Both have given me a new appreciation of a male’s arms. Speaking of arms, I adored Blake. He wasn’t sure what to think of Alexis. He saw just the money and thought her spoiled until he worked with her. I loved that a friendship grew between them even as love blossomed. Blake got to see the woman behind the money. And he liked the woman he met. This story is classic Ms. Stoker. We meet a strong female in need of a bit of help but far from a victim. I thoroughly enjoyed this story and can’t wait to see what’s in store for Nathan!

I was hesitant to pick up this book after not liking the first book in the series, but I'm glad I did. This book was far more realistic to me than the first one was. I liked learning more about Alexis; she had previously been introduced briefly in the first book. I liked Blake's character and the constant back and forth between him and Alexis.

Another great installment of the ACE Security Series. As I had stated with the first book, the premise is wonderful. The idea of originally being there to help men and children in abusive relationships intrigued me. Obviously, there are many more abused woman than men and it is natural for Ace Security to branch out, but. I cannot wait for the next book.

What happens when a truly independent, alpha woman meets a bull-headed alpha male? Que Katy Parry's Fireworks music and sit back for the show. This right here is why this industry will never die. Holy Moly pass me a cool drink. Characters written so well you know they could be your next door neighbor, or maybe that was just me wishing Blake lived next door and I was Alexis. Wow! Yeah, just me...

Just like mysteries, I never thought romantic suspense were for me, until I realized I'd been reading them all along. Let's stop pigeonholing romance novels into all these genres and readers, let's read for the enjoyment of reading. First up - ACE Security Series!

I adore Alexis! She was so brave and kind. She steps into a dangerous situation to help make the world safer for others. Then the chemistry between Alexis and Blake was so fun to watch develop. The balance between the action with the gang and the relationships was so interesting to read. After reading Alexis and Blake's story I am curious what the Nathan's story will be. That said I don't think you have to read all of them to read Nathan's story but the series is so amazing you really should read all of them.
I enjoy reading Susan Stoker's books and delight in sharing them with my friends to get them hooked as strongly as I am. I am super excited to see what story will be next. I am sure it will be excellent
