I seemed to have started this series in the middle, and I think it was the perfect place to start. Tough Alexis is funny and loveable and Blake is standard alpha, intense and loyal to those he calls family and friends. I will definitely be reading the rest of this series. Well done.

Heart pounding good, wildly exciting, and beautifully pleasant with heartfelt romance that just has me in a SWOON! I am in LOOOVE with Susan Stoker's Ace Security series! Claiming Alexis is perfectly paced with the perfect blend of suspense and romance and delicious heat that you come to know and love from Miss Stoker. I enjoy how different this one was compared to Claiming Grace. The cover is gorgeous, the plot and storyline draws me in and the characters are swoon worthy and charming, while the romance speaks to my heart...EVERY TIME!

Blake is a hottie! I love his brain, his giant protective streak and the way he trusts Alexis while she goes undercover to help put away the gang. Alexis is so smart. She is caring, full of surprises and has a backbone of steel that is wonderfully admirable. These two make one heck of an AMAZING couple!

Claiming Alexis gets a MOUTH-WATERING SUSPENSEFUL FIVE SHOOTING STARS! Its brilliant and there is no wonder I keep coming back for more from Miss Stoker!

Claiming Alexis is the second title in the Ace Security series and features Blake and Alexis, and is a friends to lovers romance. Anyone who has read the previous title Claiming Grace will be familiar with both these characters. This title picks up where the first book left off, but it is not imperative to have read the previous title to still enjoy Claiming Alexis.

Alexis although a privileged rich girl, she is quite relate-able with self esteem issues. I really liked her sense of determination and vulnerability and her desire to prove herself.

Blake is a the type of alpha hero I have come to expect from Ms Stoker, a fabulous blend of sexy, protective alpha who is also sweet, caring and gentle.

The love scenes and chemistry between this pair is quite hot and steamy.

I enjoyed the cross over of characters from the first title in the series, and the continuation of Grace and Logan's story within the plot of Claiming Alexis. Although this title is well written, and enjoyable it didn't quite hit the mark with me, unlike so many of Ms Stoker's previous works. I found that some aspects of this title lacked realism. I do look forward to the final triplet Nathan finding his happy ever after in the final title in the Ace Security series.

Alexis floated through life and was not content to sit idly by bored out of her mind. She took a job at Ace Security and immediately fell in love with Blake. She was everything she secretly desired and she ante to prove to herself that she had what it took to help others. Tired of being a doormat all her life and being used for her money she set out to make a difference. Blake admires her tenacity and is shocked it took him so long to see who Alexis truly is and not the shell she presents to the world. She takes chances while remaining nervous as she tried to infiltrate the local gang. Will she bring them done with her innocent smiles?

The body issues & low self esteem of heroines in my romance reads is a bit of a turnoff. We have that in real life and I don't want it in my fictional romances. I much prefer strong, independent & confident Heros & heroines which is why I am giving it 4 stars, otherwise this is a great read!

I do like a good Susan Stoker novel :). The heroines that she writes are real, and have real problems. And the men...they are dedicated, protective, and everything you would want to find in a fierce package.
This story was a bit harder to connect with, I am not sure why. But I liked both of the characters and it is great to see the previous men and women of this series. All in all a solid four.

The second installment of the Ace Security story does not disappoint. This is the story of the middle brother, Blake, who find his love interest. Much in the formula of the Black Dagger Brotherhood, this story line finds love for each of the brothers. Blake is the brooding, quiet brother who tends to stand back and go along with the flow. We met us love match in the previous installment, and she is a go getter that is just what this ex army guy needs.

What I love most about this book is that this wasn’t instalove. We have Blake and Alexis. Alexis is gunshy. She is not as experienced and wary due to people only liking her due to her money. But she likes Blake. No she loves Blake and keeps it secret afraid he doesn’t feel the same. Blake feels the same for Alexis but is taking it slow so she can feel safe and comfortable. He knows she is gunshy and doesn’t want her to run because for him his feelings are very real and the forever kind of love. Blake didn’t just jump into love but had it build as he got to know Alexis.

The protectiveness of Blake is super alpha but also I think what helps make Alexis feel safe with him. She knows that he is always there for her and this helps her relax. The brothers are awesome. So open and close. They had been through so much in the past that it’s great to see them working together and there for one another.

I like how in this story Alexis shows how strong she is. She may have been in the past trying to find what she wanted to do with her life but her she was out to prove something to herself and others. She was out to prove that she is smart and resourceful. That she can do the job and wants to be at the security company for the long haul. So she puts herself in the path of danger and becomes something she isn’t to stop a gang. Does beautifully at it too. Blake and his brothers are impressed and protect her with all they have as well. when things turn deadly Blake is there. His brothers help him and they show Alexis they are family and she is one of them.

The romance of the story is hot and sinful. But also tender and sweet. We see them learn about each other in many intimate ways. We see the love and respect they both have for one another but also the trust that each has for each other. That trust is beautifully written. I do look forward to see the last brother fall in love that will be a scorcher for sure but this one will have the kindle heat up. I think what I loved the most was how Blake treated Alexis like a gift and let her know she was special to him. He didn’t push her but let her feel safe and loved with every action and his words.

This is a action packed tender and sexy romance that warms the heart. We see two people love and respect one another come together and be there for one another no matter what. A wonderful read.

This is book 2 in the Ace Security series and I found it much easier to get into than the first book. Alexis, while working for Blake and his family's PI agency, wants to help bring down the gang responsible for hurting some of the people she cares for, although she's not really trained for this kind of undercover work. Blake is reluctant to let her help but knows they she needs to do it...he just hope they can keep Alexis safe, especially as he's starting to have romantic feelings for her.
I very much enjoyed this story. I loved Blake and Alexis together and thought they had off-the-charts chemistry.

Alexis Grant is trying to figure out what she wants to do in life; after several different jobs, she has found that she likes working at Ace Security. Maybe a little more since she gets to work with Blake Anderson. Blake is one of the triple brothers that owns Ace Securities. Alexis has falling more for him since she first met him, but she thinks he doesn't even see her that way. So, she will do her job and maybe if things don't work out, she will move on to something different.

Blake Anderson is focused 100% on the work he does at Ace Security. But as he gets to know Alexis, he sees that she is independent, head strong, and doesn't need help from anyone. Or so she thinks.

So when Alexis comes up with the idea to go undercover to help bring down a local gang, will she get herself into trouble and will the Anderson boys be there to help her? Will Blake show his true feelings for Alexis before it's too late? Can Alexis accept that Blake is telling her the truth about his feeling? Will the danger be more than they both can handle? Will the gang get away in the end?

I really enjoyed this story as I did the first book and can't wait for the next one, but I think the title should have been Claiming Blake because Alexis claimed him before he knew what hit him. This story is filled with finding love and suspense, so if that is what you like, I hope you enjoy this series as much as I am.

This was a fast-paced romance story. I did not read the previous book in the series, but didn't feel that it was completely necessary. I never thought that I was missing anything.

Blake and Alexis have been paired off. She is a whiz when it comes to tracking people down via social media and despite her extensive, but short employment history, she's still searching to find her place in the world. She became known to Ace security because of her family's wealth and connections – they were part of a scandal/blackmail scene. However, she has proven herself invaluable.

Blake is all about his work. He tries to put his personal feelings in check, but the longer he stays paired with Alexis, the more intrigued he becomes. He hides his feelings well and keeps Alexis guessing, but when things come to a head, he lets his brothers know in no uncertain terms that they need to protect Alexis.

I liked how this was more than a romance. There was good development of the plot and the characters within were developed and well planned. Watching Blake and Alexis come to terms with their relationship and feelings was not too slow, but I do think they lacked a little chemistry. Overall, this was a great story and I do hope to read book three.

This story was another interesting installment of the Ace Security series.

I loved Blake and his need to take care of his woman and the way he went to such great lengths to do so. Alexis, on the other hand, took me a bit to really like, or I suppose there were parts of her personality that I didn't like. She was very naive at times. Could've been that she had been so badly hurt when she was younger, or that she simply didn't want to see how mean and cruel people can be as both children and adults.

That being said, I loved the way the story as a whole flowed. While I can't say there were any crazy twists or surprises, I did enjoy following along with the action and watching Alexis deal with her terror yet not giving into it because she wanted to help.

I can't wait to get Nathan's story. He's the quiet, more reserved of the three brothers, so it'll be interesting to see how that works out.

Susan Stoker has a new book out in her ACE Security Series, and like all of her other series, this one is taking off with a bang! Alexis Grant had worked for Ace security for 3 months and had been helping with the case against the Masons (You’ll want to see book one!) when she fell hard for Blake Anderson. Of course, Blake is concerned with how long Alexis is going to stick around. She does have a bad habit of hopping around from job to job. Alexis figures since Blake wants nothing to do with her, she’ll just quit when her assignment is over.

But her assignment is to go after the gang that was paid to kidnap her brother, The Inca Boyz. And she wants to help way more than just social media searches. Blake gains a new respect for Alexis, but he isn’t happy at just how far she’ll go to prove herself, especially when her life is in danger.

I loved Blake in this book! What a super, sexy, protective alpha. And Alexis was a warm and wonderful woman who was so right for Blake, but typical of Ms. Stoker’s heroine’s she has had a difficult upbringing in life and people have not treated her well. It’s up to Blake and family to show her just how worthy she really is. And I’ve always loved the fact that she isn’t afraid to allow the heroine to go through some violence and trauma and to let the hero really shine!

: 3.5 stars-- CLAIMING ALEXIS is the second installment in Susan Stoker’s contemporary, adult ACE SECURITY erotic, romantic suspense series focusing on the Anderson triplets (Blake, Logan and Nathan) and the family owned Ace Security. This is Ace Security co-owner and security specialist Blake Anderson, and new Ace Security intern and heiress Alexis Grant’s story line. CLAIMING ALEXIS can be read as a stand alone without any difficulty but I recommend reading book one CLAIMING GRACE as much of the current story line premise is a direct result of the events in book one.

Told from dual third person perspectives (Blake and Alexis) CLAIMING ALEXIS follows Alexis Grant as she goes undercover to ferret our information about the Inca Boyz gang, their involvement in the recent attempts to destroy Grace’s (Claiming Grace) life, and her brother Bradford’s entanglement in the blackmail scheme between Inca Boyz and Grace’s parents. While Alexis volunteers to go undercover, Blake struggles with his growing love for the woman that calls to his heart. What ensues are Alexis’s struggle and pursuit to be accepted by the Inca Boyz gang, and the fall out when the ruse is uncovered by someone from Alexis’s past.

CLAIMING ALEXIS is a friend to lovers romance that focuses on the quick building relationship between Alexis and Blake. Alexis has some issues of self esteem that center on what she believes are her less than exemplary physical attributes, and the uncomfortable circumstances that her parent’s money has placed upon her personal and emotional inability to trust. Blake has been attracted to Alexis from the very
start, and his proclamation of need and love is quickly replaced by fear when Alexis volunteers to go undercover with the Inca Boyz gang. The $ex scenes are intimate and passionate; Alexis is a virgin whose lack of experience is quickly replaced by exploration and a man who is willing to take his time with the woman he loves. A drunk Alexis tells it like it is; and Blake likes to talk dirty in the bedroom.

There is a large ensemble cast of secondary and supporting characters including Logan and Grace (Claiming Grace #1), Nathan Anderson, as well as several members of the Inca Boyz gang.

Alexis’s lack of experience as it pertained to the undercover operation is disturbing especially when everything begins to fall apart. The circumstances were dangerous and life threatening even though Blake and the others claimed to be a heartbeat away. I question the believability of such actions and placing a civilian in the direct line of fire but such is the world of fictional story lines and sometimes, in the end, believability is to be suspended.

CLAIMING ALEXIS is a spirited story line. The premise is energetic; the characters are enthusiastic; the romance is provocative and intense-Alexis’s lack of experience and inability to hold her booze leads to some rather unorthodox comments and actions. The reality of the undercover operation is questionable.

Blake is true to his brothers and their security firm, but his employee Alexis is really what he is into.
Alexis is not looking for anything but to help the security firm get their man. When she decides to help by going undercover she bites off more than she can handle. Not only does this put her in close Quarters with Blake, but it also puts her life in some serious danger.
This book will keep you on the edge of your seat. You will get pulled in and can;t not put the book down.

I was given this book in turn for an honest review.

When Blake and Alexis finally give into temptation, and seek a deeper, more meaningful relationship, the undercover operation that Alexis is working on, turns dangerous. Willing to put everything on the line, Blake will stop at nothing to save his woman.

The second book in the Ace Security series has took hold of my heart and held its fate, in its hands. Susan Stoker filled my heart with love, only to have me on edge that the love would be ripped away at any moment, in the most harrowing way.

When I first met Alexis in Claiming Grace, I was unsure whether I would like her not, it’s safe to say that her character grew on me, and I found that I liked her a lot. She was independent, tough and spoke her mind. Although not ashamed of who she was, it was clear she had grown up with a stigma that she fought hard to prove wrong. She and Blake had a great rapport together, and it was clear early on that they were perfect for each other, in many ways.

Blake stole my heart, and he is one book boyfriend, I am not willing to share! He is loyal, strong, speaks his mind, cares for those he loves, and will go to great lengths to protect them. My heart was constantly swooning with Blake Anderson.

I loved this story, I was kept anticipating the action, and when it hit I wasn’t expecting it. Susan Stoker did a wonderful job of keeping the suspense going. My only niggle with this story was that one subject seemed repeatedly, repeated. This is purely my view on the storyline and in no way, reflects the author or her writing. This story still held so many great points, and therefore it was easy to overlook the niggle I had.

Without any doubt Blake Anderson is my favourite Anderson brother so far, and I can’t wait to see if Nathan will take his place in the third book. Romance suspense readers, the Ace Security series is for you!

Logan, Blake and Nathan Anderson (triplets), and their dad, were physically abused by their mom growing up. When they turned 18, they all left, never looking back. They spoke every few months to their dad, but never once returned to town. Until their mother killed their dad then committed suicide. The three of them returned for their dad’s funeral and decided to start a security firm for abuse victims, specializing in male victims, in their hometown.

Alexis comes from money. She’s been used frequently by people who want some of that money. She covers her hurt feelings by being sassy, outspoken and maintaining a wall around herself. Underneath she has a big heart and a desire to be liked and loved for herself, not her family’s money. She has been attracted from day one to Blake, but since she is more “Marilyn Monroe than Kate Moss,” she never dreams it could ever be reciprocated. Alexis is Bradford’s sister from book one. She wants to continue working to find a way to bring the Inca Boyz down. She has no experience doing this, so she has been paired with Blake to learn the business.

Blake has been working with Alexis for months but hasn’t looked twice at her until he notices her fascination with his forearms. Her eyes dilate when he flexes them. Rolling my eyes, to each their own I guess. Then suddenly he realizes he hasn’t dated anyone since he met her and how awesome she is and he can’t wait to get behind that wall she surrounds herself with.

Alexis goes undercover, connecting with an old friend from grade school, to try to gather intel on the gang that blackmailed her brother and hurt Logan’s wife, Grace.

Nathan’s story is next. It’s set up in the last part of this book and you can already predict the storyline. I’m not invested in this series at all, or impressed with the writing style and won’t be looking for the next book.

SPOILER ALERT!
I had a problem with the sex scenes. She learned how to touch herself, use toys for self-fulfillment yet he had to tell her it was a give and take and that she could explore him too? And he takes her over the edge into orgasm by having her watch him flex his forearms? It all just seemed a little juvenile. It’s not good when I roll my eyes during love scenes.

I voluntarily reviewed an ARC provided by NetGalley and the publisher.

Claiming Alixis is the second book in the Ace Security Series.
The Anderson triplets Logan, Blake and Nathan are the owner of Ace Security.
Alexis and Blake are on a mission. A dangerous mission. Both have this crazy insta-chemistry and start to date and a relationship. They make a great couple. Blake is a really good guy and he loves her very much. But then the mission fails spectacular, and Alexis is taken and tortured.
I read this book in one sitting and was at the edge of my seat the whole time. I couldn't put it down. I had to know what happened to the characters.
Claiming Alexis can easily be read as a stand alone, I recommend to read the books in order.
I greatly enjoyed this book and give 4,5 Stars, thank you Susan Stoker.

Alexis and Blake are both attracted to each other, but afraid to say anything. The story hooked me from the start. I would highly recommend this book. Plenty of action both between the sheets and a woman who stands up for herself. For readers of Jill Shalvis, Cherry Adair and Lori Foster you'll truly want to read this story.
