Thrilling, action packed, heart pounding emotional romantic adventure. Loved all the twits and turns leading through this exciting journey.

Blake Anderson is a very sexy, head strong, alpha male protector that makes running a security company with his brothers the best fit for him. Alexis Grant is sexy, smart, head strong and fiercely independent, as the new intern drives Blake crazy in more ways than one. Explosive attraction sparks between them while undercover and risking their lives in the line of duty. Loved all the thrilling action in this highly entertaining read.

This author is new to me I have a few of her books but they weren’t that high on my TBR list. Now I’m thinking they need to be! This is the second book in the “Ace Security” series; even though I have not read the first in the series I found it easy to follow along with the characters. I felt you could easily read this without reading the first. This book has action, suspense, drama, betrayal, and pretty amazing sexy time. Blake is one of three brothers who run Ace Security, in my book they are all noble caring alpha males. Alexis is a sassy woman whose family has money and is always judged for it. Alexis offers to help the brothers bring down a gang for higher by going undercover; things start to get exciting for them. She continuously finds herself in bad situations some could be quit deadly. I loved the protectiveness of not just Blake but his brothers when it came to the safety of Alexis. As a couple, I found Alexis and Blake a good match and I enjoyed the story and will be looking into reading the first story as well. I thought the author did a really good job setting us up for the next book in this series and look forward to action I am sure it will have.

Great story about not giving up on yourself and having someone believe in you too.
Alexis is trying find her place in life and now that she has been working with Ace Security, she thinks she might have found it, especially with Blake Anderson around.

Blake owns Ace Security with his brothers and can't deny the attraction he feels for Alexis. As they work together on a case they both can't ignore how they feel towards another. But is Blake willing to let her put her life in danger for a job?

This is the first book I have read by Susan Stoker but it won't be my last. The characters in the book are very likable. I laughed and cried with Alexis and Blake. The story is full of suspense, you never know what is going to happen next. I would recommend this story. I can't wait to read the next book in this series.

Claiming Alexis by Susan Stoker is the second book in the Aces Security series. The business is run by triplets, Logan (book 1), Nathan (book 3) and Blake (this book). The series focuses on helping keep people safe when they feel they are going to be physically hurt. In the first book Grace was in trouble and Logan helped free her, but there were some really nasty characters called the Inca Boyz.

Claiming Alexis is all about Alexis and Blake tracking down and gaining information on the Inca Boyz. I love how Alexis went undercover and how Blake turned all alpha, but did not interfere with her part of the investigation. The book was a fast read and Blake was HOT! I think even without reading the first book, Claiming Alexis could be read as a stand alone. Susan Stoker’s newest Ace Security book is a good read.

This was the 2nd book in this series and I enjoyed the first, but I thought this book was FANTASTIC! Even though she had always liked him, Alexis and Blake were just coworkers and friends. They started getting to know each other because of their job and soon Blake realized how much he liked her. I liked that he encouraged her to be the strong, independent woman that she was and wanted to protect her from harm. He knew she was capable of taking care of herself but he let her know that was his job. *swoon* They were so sweet with each other, but they were also honest. And when the situation got scary, Blake was there for her. And things get dicey, it's not all fun and games! I was on the edge of my seat unsure how things would unfold. This was a captivating read and I couldn't read it fast enough. I HIGHLY recommend it!

Took me a bit to get into the story, but I enjoyed it. Alexis's character was not what I was expecting. She was less confident and more vulnerable then she appeared int the first book of the series.

Susan Stoker is one fine writer that I was glad to have come upon and enjoyed reading her stories. From her Badge Of Honor Series, Delta Force Heroes Series to Seal Of Protection Series and now to Ace Security series, I’ve literally enjoyed every single one of her books. Protecting Caroline, Protecting Fiona and Protecting Alabama are my top favorites of her books that I’ve visited innumerable times…chicken soup for the soul!!!

Claiming Alexis is book two of the Ace Security Series, and is just as captivating and engrossing as her other works. As part of the Ace Security, Blake Anderson wants nothing more than to make their security company a success and protect and serve. But the new intern, Alexis Grant is giving him nightmares of the lust kind.

With a wealthy background that Alexis doesn’t want to be a part of, Alexis Grant wants to prove that she can make it on her own, and she can make a very good undercover agent for Ace Security. As she goes undercover with a local gang that has deep roots, history and secrets that she needs to undercover to put an end to the gang.
And as always with these undercover jobs and as brave and courageous she is, the job becomes dangerous and she gets targeted for death. If Blake has anything to do about it, “Claiming Alexis” is on his game plan, and he’s going to make sure that the love of his life stays safe right next to him.

I just love Susan Stoker and her works. Her writing is intense, her characters charismatic, her plots entertaining and her narration are tight and emotionally charged to keep the readers engrossed and enthralled. And she’s one of those accomplished writers of shorter romances too.

For readers who haven’t read her, “Protecting Caroline” is free – a perfect opportunity to read Susan Stoker and enjoy her books

3.5 Stars!

Claiming Alexis is the second book in the series and it picks up not far after the 1st book left off. In this book, Ace Security is focusing on the gang that was hired to take compromising pictures of Grace and Alexis's brother from the first book. Ace Security is focusing on shutting the gang down.

I love seeing all the same characters from the first book and I really liked Blake and Alexis as our main characters. I was glad to see Blake be more proactive in his pursuit of Alexis. I did think the book focused a little too much on her low self esteem. I'm not much of a fan about body issues in romance books.

Overall this was an enjoyable read and the hints to the next book were intriguing. It looks like we haven't seen the last of the gang. ARC provided by NetGalley.

I love Susan Stoker’s heroes. They are all alpha, all protective, and all in. Blake was no different. When he first meets Alexis he doesn’t see her for who and what she really is, but after working with her for a few months he’s decided she’s exactly what he wants. Alexis has never fit in and after a traumatic event during her school years, she has learned to keep a part of herself protected. However, Blake has those yummy arms that star in her dreams and she’s doing all she can to keep him from knowing she wants to be more than just friends and coworkers.

Amidst the drama of a local gang investigation, this couple heat up the pages as Alexis goes undercover and Blake goes ballistic. I loved this storyline as well as the secondary characters. Looking for a quick, steamy read, low in angst but high in action? Claiming Alexis will fit the bill.

This is book two of the Ace Security series and I think this is one of those books where it is definitely better to have read the first in the series. This book picks up almost immediately after the first book ended and features Blake and Alexis. Alexis is the sister of Brandon who was one of several victims in the first book. Because of what happened to her brother, Alexis is determined to help the Anderson brothers take down the Inca Boyz gang. Even if it means putting herself at risk to do so.
While Alex has a crush on Blake, initially Blake only sees Alex as a co-worker. However, once he realizes his true feelings look out everyone. This was an enjoyable friends to lovers story with a bit of Susan Stoker's trademark suspense thrown into the mix. Looking forward to the next book in the series which will feature Nathan, the third Anderson brother and most likely the missing former girlfriend of the gang leader.

Undercover Gang Story.
The second in a series but can be read as a standalone. Wow, was Alexis brave - I wouldn't have wanted to go undercover as she did. Found it very strange and sad that Alexis who was kind and big hearted, did not appear to have a single friend. Good plot, good story and romance but I did get very tired of the f* word, hence the dropping of a star for me.
I received a complimentary copy of this book from NetGalley. I was not compensated for my review, and I was not required to write a positive review. The opinion expressed here is my own.

Susan Stoker is an amazing author, and she makes her characters so real and believable. She draws you into the story from the beginning, and does not let you go until the very end. This is the second book in the Ace security series. This is Blake and Alexis’ story. It is a standalone, but you learn how Alexis came into the picture in the first book. Alexis works with the brothers at their security firm. She comes from a well-off family, but she is very down to earth. She has been secretly in love with Blake from the beginning, but he of course does not realize it. Alexis goes undercover to infiltrate a gang using a past friendship, but the risk is high if she is ever found out. Blake has finally realized how special of a woman Alexis is, but will they get a chance to be together? Alexis is a little too trusting and naïve, but she is smart and Blake won’t let her go without a fight. It also gave a little glimpse of the characters and story for the next book. I can’t wait until Bailey Nathan’s story!

Claiming Alexis is book 2 in the Ace Security series but you can read it as a stand alone. The first book was good, but not my favorite Susan Stoker. This series is a bit more contemporary romance than romantic suspense.

Alexis reminded me of so many of my friends when they graduated college. Unsure, overwhelmed, and totally confused. Alexis finished with a degree in general studies because she couldn't decide on a major (yep, I totally understand that!), then bounced from job to job trying to find out what she wanted to do (yep, been there!). She is self conscious of the way people perceive her because her family is wealthy. She has been used for her money in the past, and is tired of everyone thinking she is the poor little rich girl. She gets involved with Ace Security purely because of her brother (events from the previous book), and her plan is to get some dirt on a local gang, turn it over to the cops, then leave town and start somewhere new. She is so in love with Blake that she can't stand to be around him since she thinks he isn't interested at all.

Blake is a computer guy who did judge Alexis by her rich family and job hoping habits at first. But, as he has worked with her, he learned that she has layers. He likes those layers too, but he doesn't want to come on too strong and freak her out. So, these two dance around each other. Like I mentioned, this is certainly more of a contemporary romance than romantic suspense. The tension and drama is centered around this budding relationship. While there is some external strife, its nothing like you would see in a more traditional romantic suspense book. I don't think this is a bad thing! I just want you all to know going into this what to expect.

My struggle with book one was the heroine, Grace. I liked Alexis a great deal more than Grace, but they seem to share a trait or two. Both of them are kind of pushovers. They have let people in their lives treat them poorly. They know that people have used them. They aren't ignorant or naive about it, but they simply have kind of accepted it. Obviously, in the course of the story, they grow up and stop permitting this behavior. For Grace, it was really annoying. In Alexis' case though I think I was able to empathize with her more so I wasn't as bothered by it. I can easily remember what it was like to graduate college and have no clue how to 'adult'. I can vividly recall wanting people to like me in high school and doing whatever it took to be their 'friend' even when I knew they didn't really like me. Its all about the HOPE that maybe someday they will. As an adult, we can look back and recognize this destructive behavior, but when you are in the moment, its easy to see how Alexis could struggle!

Claiming Alexis gave me the butterflies of budding love, the sexy one liners from an great hero, and the emotional struggle of a heroine that I could relate to. Overall, I enjoyed this a great deal and if you like contemporary romance with relatable characters, I think you might like it as well!

Bonus: its a Kindle Unlimited pick so if you are a subscriber, you can read for free. You can add audible narration for only $1.99!

This is not one of the better Susan Stoker books. This is a continuing story from a prior book but I think this could be read as a stand-alone without problems.

The main character, Alexis, seemed rather immature and insecure. Instalove and a fixation on the love interest's forearms.

Despite a dangerous situation, the book needs meat...grit...something to strengthen it. Even when those types of details were added to the book, there was no depth to help the reader feel it.

There are far better examples of Stokers work.

Another fantastic book by Susan Stoker. This author is an amazing writer and sucks the reader into the story. I loved watching Blake and Alexis's story being told. I highly recommend this book. I voluntarily reviewed an advance reader copy of this book from publisher via NetGalley.

Amazing new novel from this author. I am not sure how she does it but this author knows how to reach out and grab my attention and not let it go until I turn the last page of the novel. She did not disappoint. I loved this novel! I loved the characters and I loved reconnecting with the characters from the first in the series. I love the dialogue and I loved the characters. I can't wait to see what is next in line in this series.

I have read several Susan Stoker books and Claiming Alexis is another good one. It is the second in the Claiming series revolving around the Anderson brothers and their protection agency. This is Blake's story and it involves Alexis Grant his co worker at the agency. She made a brief appearance in Claiming Grace. Susan Stoker regularly intertwines her books. The agency is looking into a Denver street gang and their best way to get information is for Alexis to go undercover. The problem is that while this is happening, Alexis and Blake have started a relationship and he's not happy about her taking the risk. The story is engaging enough that I am looking forward to the final Anderson brother, Nathan's story.
