I did enjoy it a lot. I got very excited for the action to happen and I very pleased with how it was developed. Though, I read this book with a sense of doom. I was just waiting for something bad to happen, and for Alexis to be in danger and to be saved. the plot is very similar to 'Claiming Grace' in that aspect.

I have always heard that Susan Stoker books are good and that I needed to try them. This is my first one and I was not disappointed! Although this is the second book in this series, I can honestly say that you can read it alone although some things that are talked about make more sense if you read the first one. I ended up going back and getting that one to read just to understand the complete story arc better. All that being said, I really enjoyed this book. It is about Blake Anderson, the brother of the main hero in the first book. And Alexis Grant, the sister of one of the people being blackmailed. They meet when she wants to help the brothers, who own Ace Security together, gather evidence against the Inca Boyz to put them away for good. A chance comes in for her to be able to help in a big way when they find out someone she went to school with is a major player in the gang. So they work it out for her to go undercover. Along the way Blake realizes exactly what she means to him and makes sure not only she knows it, but so do his brothers. This book was really good. There was action, suspense, romance, and comedy all thrown into one book and I loved that! Alexis is a woman who is very good at hiding who she truly is so she doesn't get hurt by people who don't want to really know HER. She has this attitude about her that I really loved and I loved how she wasn't afraid to speak her mind! Blake is this sweet and protective man who actually takes the time to get to know her. He actually looks beyond the surface and see's who she truly is, and loves her all the more for it! This was a great read and I really can't wait for Nathan's book!!

Claiming Alexis is book 2 in the Ace Security series by Susan Stoker and this is another 5 star read for me.
Blake Anderson in the middle brother of triplets, Blake has always felt like it was his job to take care of his brothers from the beatings dealt out by their violent mother. When the brothers decided to move back to the town where they grew up they weren't expecting a warm welcome especially from the local gossips, but they opened a security firm specialising in abuse cases more importantly for the men who never get the help that they should and that set the gossips off more. It was when helping out his brother's now wife that Blake met Alexis.
Alexis Grant is 25 years old and has moved jobs a lot since she left college but it was when her brother was kidnapped by a local gang that Alexis met the Anderson brothers and wanted to help them get justice for her brother. Alexis' family are rich and that's caused her a lot of pain growing up, not knowing who was really her friend, but when she finds out that someone from her past has a connection to the gang they're after she uses that to go undercover to help.
When you read a Susan Stoker book you are always guaranteed 4 things: 1:A true alpha male who would do anything to protect his loved ones. 2: A kick ass heroine who is tough as nails and doesn't sit back waiting to be rescued. 3: A story that will have you on the edge of your seat. Most importantly 4: A unique storyline that always leaves you craving more, more of these characters and just more books in general. I am truly a huge fan of this woman's writing.
I voluntarily reviewed an advance copy of this book through Netgalley.

I'm so happy I picked this series back up. Where I liked the first installment, I LOVED this one. Although it's not necessary to read the first book prior to this one, I strongly recommend it. It's always a good idea to read the stories in order. Even if they can be read as standalones.

Alexis is the sister of the brother who was being used in the first book (see, told you you should read the first one). She's also the rich girl who everyone has already labeled before getting to know her. Like, truly getting to know who she is. Everyone has always assumed who she was and she's tired of it. When she first got involved with Ace Security, she was immediately drawn to one person in particular, Blake. And now that she's working closely with him, she's fallen in love with him. But she's not his "type" and nothing will ever happen, right?

Blake is one of the triplets that run Ace Security. After everything that went down with his brother's wife and the Inca Boyz, Ace Security is out for redemption. So Blake and Alexis have been working closely to get as much information on the gang as possible. When Alexis volunteers to help them "get in" with the gang, feelings and emotions start to take over and there's no stopping them. Maybe getting Alexis involved wasn't such a good idea.

Do you know why I loved this story? Because Alexis was determined to prove that she was someone. Not only to those from her past, but to herself. She never gave up. She put herself in really stupid situations. But it was always for the better of the case, even when she was forced to deal with some demons from her past. Blake was sweet and gentle and every bit the manly man we thought he'd be.

And now I'm seriously biting my fingernails until I get Nathan's story. OMG! If my imagination is heading in the right direction, we're in for another crazy Inca/Ace showdown. And I can't wait!!!

I absolutely loved this second book in the Ace Security series!! Susan Stoker does it again! This is Blake's book and I loved it just as much as Logan's. Alexis has been working with Blake and his brothers at Ace for a little while now and has been secretly in love with Blake the whole time. Blake finally really sees her beyond friendship and decides he has to have her. They have chemistry that is off the charts! This storyline is very well written and suspenseful as Alexis uses her tie to an old "friend" to get herself insinuated into her inner circle which is the Inca Boyz gang from the first book. Some pretty intense and scary situations ensue and Blake wants nothing more but to protect Lex so he can finally make her his. This book has everything you expect from a Susan Stoker book; a sweet alpha swoonworthy hero, a kick butt heroine, action, humor, suspense, romance and some very hot and steamy times between Blake & Lex. Couldn't put this one down! 5 stars!!
I am looking forward to Nathan's book!
Thank you to Netgalley for the early ARC!

This book is the second of the series titled Ace Security, based on a set of male triplets who formed their company after being abused as children by their mother. Though it’s a stand alone, it does continue with the theme of book one in that they are trying to dissolve the gang that almost killed the female character of the first book.
The story centers around Blake and the new recruit, Alexis. A young woman that is still trying to find herself. At first I wasn’t sure I would like the book, since I found the dialogue in the first couple of chapters a little choppy and at times I felt the story dragged, then moved along quickly. But once I got over that , it moved along smoothly.
Blake and Alexis rather quickly develop a romance, and the action is their attempt to infiltrate the gang to get information on how to bring them down. As with the previous book, I liked more the male character , than the female character.
We also get a glimpse of the female character that I suspect will be the love interest for the third brother, Nathan.
For me it was more of a 3.5 but I do respect the author and her dedication, and for that , she gets a 4 star.
I was gifted this copy by Netgalley. The opinions expressed are solely my own.

Another Susan Stoker spectacular book! Claiming Alexis is the second book in the Ace Security series. In this book "middle" brother, Blake realizes his love for new employee Alexis. As Blake and Alexis try to infiltrate a Denver gang, the threat of violence hangs heavy in the air. This book is filled with pulse-pounding action scenes and undercover ops. Claiming Alexis is a must read for Stoker fans!

Blake is the type of man to give his woman the world, “and Lex, you’re right. I like making the first move. But from here on out, all you have to do is ask, and I’ll give you anything you want. Yeah?” Blake has no filter, "...every time I’ve jacked off this week I’ve imagined it was your hands on my ***k instead of my own.” Alexis is always up for telling Blake her worries, “we can’t tell our children, your brothers, and my parents that you proposed to me when we were both naked and in bed. You’re inside me and hard again for goodness’ sake. We’ll have to make something up.” I really liked this book, Blake was a take charge man.

This is the second story in the Ace Security series, it easily stands alone.
One of the brothers Blake is working with Alexis, a rich young woman finding her way in the world. Alexis goes undercover into a gang by meeting up with an old high school friend turned enemy. Does she get in over her head? Will she be found? Will she even get out alive? By chapter 16 I was in tears. Such action in this book after a bit of a slow start.
Alexis and Blake had amazing chemistry and I was invested in their tale.
I highly recommend this book.

The second story in the Ace Security Series is just as well written as the first. Blake Anderson and Alexis Grant are working on a case trying to find a way to bring down a local gang that was involved in the incident surrounding Logan's wife, Grace and Alexis' brother.

Alexis wants to prove to Blake that she's not some spoiled rich girl. She goes undercover to gather information that can bring this gang down. Things immediately become dangerous and Alexis will suffer quite a bit of brutality. But she proves to be a smart, tough cookie.

Susan Stoker really brings out the strength of the women in this series. Looking forward to Nathan's story.

Blake and Alexis's story starts out with a bang and their chemistry is very quickly established. I really loved Blake's sensitivity and protectiveness of Alexis. Their relationship blossoms very quickly and I really liked them together. Alexis's drunken ramblings to Blake the first night she goes undercover was adorable and really well done. Sadly, things took a bit of a negative spin in the second half of the book. The undercover work got a bit eye rolling and the intensity of the relationship between Blake and Alexis went from a nice simmer to rolling boil WAY too fast. I found myself scanning a bit towards the end of this book as the conversation/dialog got a bit redundant and drawn out. Overall, not a bad read but couldn't hold onto the good start that the author had in the beginning of the book.

Awesome read. I am really enjoying this series. This is the second book but it's not necessary for you to have read the first to enjoy this one. I really enjoyed the characters in this book and it had just enough suspense and action to keep things interesting.

Alexis Grant is working as an intern at the security firm owned and run by Blake Anderson and his brothers. She knows they all look at her as the silly little rich girl so when a chance to jump in on a case arises she's all in. There is a big attraction between Alexis and Blake but the particulars of this case will put that desire to the test. Keeping Alexis safe becomes Blake's number one priority.

I highly recommend this one.

Absolutely loved this book. Every book Susan Stoker writes is a guaranteed hit, every time. I anxiously await every new book and devour it immediately. The story between Blake, the middle brother and Bailey was excellent. The way he takes care of her after she is hurt is amazing. The stories from all the books flow together so well. I love the character carry over too. Definitely a book I will purchase. Keep the coming Susan.

I haven't found a book by Susan that I didn't fall instantly in love with and Claiming Alexis was no different. Alexis is a feisty, hard a**, who feels like because she is seen as the "rich" girl she needs to prove herself. After helping the brothers of Ace Security when her brother was in trouble (book 1 Claiming Grace), she decides to stay and continue her work there, even if that means fighting her attraction to Blake, the "middle" brother. As they beginning working closer Blake realizes that he too has feeling for Alexis. While trying to take down the leading gang in Denver sparks fly between Blake and Alexis, but will they be able to take down the gang before it's too late for Alexis? Susan rocked my world with this book and I highly recommend it to everyone!

Claiming Alexis is the second romantic suspense book in the Ace Security series written by author Susan Stoker. I like this story about the Anderson triplets. Looking forward to reading Nathan's story next. Thanks to NetGalley and Montlake Romance for the advance copy.

LOVED this book! It's another winner (and book two) in the Ace Security series. As a stand alone novel, this book delivers fast paced romantic suspense at its best. I felt invested in the characters and cared about their story.

In this book, Alexis goes undercover in a gang as a friend of one of their women - who used to be a childhood friend of hers. As a wealthy heiress, Alexis is used to people using her for her money - including her former friend who she uses, in a bit of turnabout is fair play, as her entree to the gang.

Nothing about gang life is sexy or appealing and the author paints the gang interactions and crimes with the grit and horror that composes a gang and gang life.

This is a compelling tale that fans of the genre will love. If you haven't read a book by this author, you are missing out. She is a the top of my must read authors' list and should probably be on yours as well.

I was lucky enough to receive an ARC of this book from Netgalley. Claiming Alexis had me hooked from the first page. I couldn’t put it down until I finished it. I stayed up all night reading it and man it was worth it. I fell in love with Blake he is such a great leading man. You got to see the relationship between Alexi s and Bailey grow during the book and it felt like they were real. Blake and his brothers run Ace Security. Alexis is an intern and most people see her has a rich girl and only want something to do with her because of her parent’s money. Blake however sees so much more in Alexis he sees the real her. Alexis is given the opportunity to go undercover for a case for Ace Security and she jumps at the chance to prove herself to Blake. The case takes a dangerous turn and she has to put all her trust in him. Alexis is working on a case with dangerous secrets. You will see the lengths that Blake will go to, to protect the woman he loves. I would recommend this book however I would read the previous book first you won’t be sorry this is a great series and I can’t wait to read the next book when it comes out! Even though I received an ARC I will be buying a copy of this book because I loved it.
