Another amazing read by Susan Stoker!! I have read every single book this author has ever written and they just keep getting better and better. Alexis and Blake have amazing chemistry and I love how he goes after what he wants right away which is Alexis. There is romance, action, suspense and plenty of sexy times in this book. And i enjoy reading about all the brothers and I'm looking forward to Nathan's book!! I read this story in one sitting and couldn't put it down!
5 stars for sure!!!

Blake and Alexis.
This is a continuation of the story from book 1 in that they still face enemies and reprecusuons from the incident involving Grace. So it's best to read book 1st. That said this is an individual story. A book for each couple.
Blake and Alexis have been working together for a while now and Blake had overcome some of the judgements he made about what Alexis is like. So at the start of this book quite quickly they start a relationship and express how they feel about each other. I didn't feel this was insta-love because of the history from book 1.
The story involves Alexis working under cover using her and Blake being her back up.
It uses social media and texting in the story so it feels up to date.
Blake is a sweet heart, there is no cheating or ex drama and Alexis is a strong heroine.
The book also sets up the next book by revealing glimpses of the heroine for the next story and Nathan who we learn more about.
This is a good read, plenty of action, a kick ass heroine and a sweet non cheating hero what else could you ask for.

Arms can be hot.

Ugh, I would have quit that job, too.

I guess I'm old-fashioned, but the man always pays and opens the door for a woman.

What the hell? She got jumped in high school for saying hi to a former friend?

Logan is being a butthole.

She's a cute drunk. Chatty, too.

I don't get the point of getting drunk, either.

He sure knows how to make a speech!

He shouldn't swear on his brother's lives.

I could have never gone to that party, much less gone wearing a wire and camera.

Oh, I didn't realize from the first book that Bradford was gay. It makes what happened doubly icky.

Three cheers for Nathan!

A few years? Honey, I bet you'll be pregnant by Christmas.

Oh, for the love of Pete! Of course it's a trap, woman!

I can't imagine not knowing what my own brother went through.

Now I want Bailey and Nathan's story.

My new favorite come on saying for women is now, "my panties are wet, just a second while I change them." I could just imagine Blake's eyes going wide and his dick getting harder when Lex told him that.
That's just a taste of how sexy this book is.

CLAIMING ALEXIS was sadly a dnf for me. I suspected this would be more romance than suspense; but not no suspense at all and cheesy/cutesy romance. I cared nothing for the lead characters; and the case they were on, hunting bad gang members, failed to hold my interest. I was looking for a light summer read, but this was not it.

I have never really been a fan of Susan Stoker. That being said I read the first in the series and while I wasn't over the mood I thought I would try out book two. The titles of the book totally annoys me and I needed to push that out of my mind.
Once the story starts I found myself enjoying the characters an for once the over the top Alpha wasn't as annoying as I thought
The story is your basic one falls in love right away and figures the other one doesn't see her that way. This made for some cute moments that helps release someone action and suspense side of the story.
Blake and Alexis are very easy to like and while the story sets readers up for the next brother to fall in love and with whom the action, nicely written action romance will keep readers and new readers very happy.
Thank you to the publisher and Netgalley for an advance copy for my thoughts thought
