I look forward to this book every year. It's a fantastic introduction to authors I've not read before. Highly recommended.

BuzzBooks Publisher Launch is quickly becoming something I look forward to each month and season. They compile excerpts from wonderful soon to be published books for review all in a single location. It is always exciting and fun to discover upcoming offerings from favorite authors and learn about new talent emerging. My wish list grows with each edition! I'm especially excited about Girls Made of Snow and Glass by Melissa Bashardoust.

A really good idea to advertise up and coming books. I found quite a few on there that I have now requested. Fingers crossed I get them. Unfortunately some of them are US only so UK citizens like myself are likely to get them but I will still add those to my shopping list for when they are released.

This is perfect! A little too many contemporary books, true, but it is summer and during summer contemps are wonderful. Very interesting choices. So glad Warcross was featured. I discovered many new titles.

Another season, another set of book excerpts from Publishers Lunch, this time in preparation for colder weather. As usual, I’ve written down the ones that piqued my interest the most and I am incredibly excited to get my hands on them as soon as I can.

Solo by Kwame Alexander [skipped]: I did try to read this, but poetic verse is not my forte, so I ended up DNFing it.

Girls Made of Snow and Glass by Melissa Bashardoust [5 stars]: The synopsis is ten years long, but basically this is like a Snow White retelling. It's told in two perspectives, Lynet, a 15 year old, and her stepmother, Mina. It's told in two times, past and present. The excerpt was incredibly fascinating and I was hooked immediately. I am sure I would have found it eventually, but I was really excited to find a new book to add to my TBR via Buzz Books.

The House at 758 by Kathryn Berla [2.5 stars]: Wasn't fond of this one.

Your One and Only by Adrianne Finlay [5 stars]: This one is a sci-fi novel where clones are the only people that exist until one clone creates a human after hundreds of years of them being "extinct". I am so curious to read more. It reminded me of Across the Universe and another book that I couldn't remember the title/author.

Everless by Sara Holland [4 stars]: This had a slower start, but I ended up getting hooked.

All Rights Reserved by Gregory Scott Katsoulis [4 stars]: Fascinated by a world where everything is copyrighted, trademarked, etc. The excerpt ended on such an explosive note!

The Sidekicks by Will Kostakis [4 stars]: This one started out a little slow, but picked up quickly. I am invested in Ryan's story for sure.

The Gatekeepers by Jen Lancaster [3 stars]: It wasn't bad, but it didn't really capture my attention. I don't think I will read this one when it is released, although I do think it would probably translate better in a finished copy. There were some texts from characters in between chapters and the formatting was weird in the galley.

WarCross by Marie Lu [5 stars]: Action-packed excerpt that makes me so excited to get my hands on a finished copy!

All Things New by Lauren Miller [4 stars]: Anxiety/panic disorder ridden MC...really liked the voice and interested to see where Jessa's story takes her.

Before I Let Go by Marieke Nijkamp [3.5 stars]: It's a little slow to start but I have hope that it'll pick up because I am looking forward to this one.

Beasts Made of Night by Tochi Onyebuchi [skipped]

Love Songs & Other Lies by Jessica Pennington [4 stars]: This sounds like a good contemporary read. I liked what I read so far. :)

I loved the idea of this book, and it held up to my expectations it gave me an idea of books coming out that I might want to order for our library. The excerpts in the book were just enough to get you hooked and the mix of genres and types they chose to highlight were varied enough for all interests. I will make sure and check these out every season to see what is up and coming.

This is my first time checking out one of the Buzz Books compilations, and I'm so glad that I did! I learned about a lot of upcoming releases that I hadn't heard of, and they sound great. I also appreciate the "sorted by publisher" list, as it made it very simple to look up contact information to request ARCs for the ones that sounded interesting (which was well over half of the titles shown, for me). I'll be sure to check out the next Buzz Books YA compilation, too!

I love these Buzz Books. Girls made of Snow and Glass looks amazing! And of course the Warcross excerpt was great. !

Buzz books is a great way to sample upcoming books and sample what you may be interested. The YA version focuses, of course, on YA. Unlike the general buzzfeeds, instead of being divided into three parts (Fiction, Debut and Non-fiction), there is no separation. The list of books is smaller but still plenty of synopsis and previews. Harlequin Teen was highly figured in this one. I’ll check some of these out, especially curious about Girls Made of Snow and Glass, a Snow White Retelling.

I don't like to read many YA novels so I love having these excerpts and reading to see what might be interesting. Before I Let Go sounds so good!
