I have never heard of this author before and I also had no clue what Sexsomnia was so going into this book I was blind and OMG this story was beyond wonderful. I want to read more by tis author but when I googled her, it looks like she writes in German, but really this book was probably one of the best books I have read this year.

The story is pretty fun, it stars Abigail who is just graduating grad school and got incredible grades but she is hiding her body behind baggy clothes and its been many years since she had sex. Plus she lives with her sister and sleeps in a closet because she can't sleep in the same room as someone else.

The story starts when Abi heads to a job interview for Jayden King, they meet in the elevator where he insults her and she tells him where to put his job. Jay is bored. He is beyond bored and while Abi was dressed terribly she was not boring and so he decides to hire her. But well Abi tells him, he has to be interviewd by her first to see if he is someone she WANTS to work for. What results is a love/hate/friend/douch kind of relationship and like Jayden I was not bored either. This book was fun, interesting and I loved every second of it.

Now lets discuss the sleep disorder which plays a big part in the story, Sexsominia. Did the story need this partof the story NO!! If this was a story about Jay and Abi and their relationship it would have been wonderful but what Jay does because Abi is in therapy and taking part in a sleep stufy well made this book just incredible. It opens up the discussion of what would you do? and was just wow.

This book was increibly well written and I loved the entire story and all the characters. I loved Jay and Abi together, they are a couple I will not soon forget.

I enjoyed Sexsomnia - Sleepless in Manhattan, by new to me author Anya Omah. This book is smartly written, the characters are quite interesting, and the plot is unique. Until I read this title, I had no idea that there was such a thing as sexsomnia; the condition of engaging in sexual activity while sleeping.

Recent graduate school graduate Abigail Davis, accepts a job in the heart of New York City with Four Kings Hotels. She is the new executive assistant to Jayden King, the CEO. Jayden is a smart and very good-looking guy, who finds Abby to be spunky, attractive and very bright. Their choppy working relationship evolves into much more, with lots of bumps and revelations along the way. An incident from Abby's past, as well as her sexsomnia, play a major role in their blossoming relationship. Their time together results in Abby's ability to trust once again and Jayden's new monogamous outlook on life.

In a nutshell, Abby and Jayden are hot both in and out of the bedroom. Abby's sister Alice, and Jayden's sister Jess, add a great deal of stability and support to both main characters. Overall, this is a sexy and intriguing read.

Wow! I chose this book because the cover and the title drew me, and then I thought the blurb sounded great. I've gotta say that this author was a great find!

“I often have people figured out after one sentence. Especially women – I can read them like open books. Abigail Davis, on the other hand, is a mystery to me. Totally different.”

Abigail Davis needs a job. On the morning of the interview for a very plum job, a series of mishaps has her turning up flustered and inappropriately dressed. When she encounters her prospective future boss in the lift, a few choice words between them has her storming off, determined not to bother with the job after all. She couldn’t work for such an insufferable jackass, even if he is sex on legs.

“You’re unpredictable, confident…” I continue, and then suddenly I realize that, more than anything, she’s a woman I could fall in love with.”

Jayden King is pretty jaded. He drowns the guilt and pain he carries around with alcohol, sex, work, and workouts. He barely sleeps. No one and nothing really distracts him from the endless treadmill he’s on. However, he is used to getting what he wants and Abigail Davis is what he wants – in his office and in his bed. He finds her sassiness and irreverent attitude towards him a breath of fresh air. She intrigues him, amuses him, frustrates him, and turns him the hell on. She affects him enough that he’s just about willing to do anything to have her.

Abigail suffers with a sleeping disorder – one that has affected her wellbeing and her love life. She’s taking drastic measures to understand her condition and appease her troubled mind. When Jayden has her vetted, he turns up this surprising and unusual fact about her, which leads him to make a somewhat unethical decision that could cost their budding relationship.

This was a FAB read! There was fantastic, hot chemistry between Jayden and Abby. They were strong characters with clear personalities. I loved how Abby kept Jayden on his toes with her strong will and her unpredictability. It was wonderful to watch him captivated by her, and how she made him feel alive, rather than just existing.

The subject matter was interesting. I’ve never heard of it and just thought that the book title was a clever title. LOL. The plot was great and I really enjoyed how the author incorporated Abby’s condition into.

I found this book pretty compelling and really sexy, with excellent dialogue between the two main characters. It was just my cup of tea!

Have you heard of Sexsomnia? I haven't before this book but man it is a fascinating disorder. I am super in psychology so when I saw this unique title I was beyond curious. For those who don't know and haven't looked it up yet, Sexsomnia is a sleeping disorder where a person will engage in sexual activities while asleep. Seriously, this is a real thing and not just made up for the sake of something to write about.

Abigail has sexsomnia and like most disorders, it has greatly changed her life, especially her relationship with men. Because of a traumatic experience, Abigail can't trust herself while asleep. She hasn't had a real relationship in years and is working through a lot and certainly doesn't expect to fall for the rich and oh so arrogant, Jayden King. Jayden is probably one of the most arrogant and self-confident men I have ever read and I totally love him! Don't get me wrong, he was hard to handle at the beginning but seeing how much he cares about Abigail and his sister speaks a lot about his true character.

Abigail and Jayden are both working on opening up to someone. Learning to trust another person to share their past traumas and pains. This book was able to be sexy and endearing at the same time. I really love these characters and see them grow. Both of the main characters have sisters, Alice and Jess who needs their own books because they are just awesome! I thoroughly enjoyed this book and I hope to read more from Anya Omah in the future.

So, this book got a five star rating because it was damn phenomenal.
Just the synopsis by itself made me want to read the book asap and don't make me talk about the book cover because holy lord I love it so darn much.
Now into the story!

I was totally pleased with the whole plot and how things progressed. We didn't get an obvious plot because information wasn't just given to us right at the beginning. You had to read the book so you could discover things at its own pace.
There was obvious attraction between Abigail and Jayden but what made me want to see how the story developed was the fact that they eventually created a friendship between them and further into the story a love relationship. Although it was hard for Jayden and Abigail to talk about their past they ended up trusting each other with what they consider their darkest moments and made them easier to live with.

I LOVED Anya Omah's writing and that for me is quite important so I can enjoy the book fully. Her writing just makes you dive into the book and makes you thirsty for more and more. I just couldn't put the book down. It took me a day to read it and I was damn happy with it.

Please read this book because you'll laugh, smile, fan yourself because it'll get hot but most important... you'll get attached to the characters.
