I love Kylie Scott; she is one of my one-click authors. Trust did not disappoint!! I highly recommend it.

This was a heartbreaking, emotional story that really brought on all the feels. I loved the character development and romance. If you are a fan of new adult romance books this was a great read.

From the very first chapter, Trust sucked me right into the story. What Edie and John experience is so harrowing and life-altering, I can’t even imagine going through something like that. The emotional and mental fallout of the event is handled really well throughout the story, however, I feel like more focus could have been placed on Edie’s mental wellbeing. Overall, the pacing and the character development of John and Edie’s story was well done and made for an enjoyable read.

This was an okay story but I don't feel like Kylie Scott did a good job of pulling in the reader. I didn't really connect with any of the characters. I guess YA just isn't for me.

Holy wow! This book was so intense. It gets started with a bang. Literally. I was on the edge of my seat pretty much the whole time. I don't usually read YA books, but I really enjoyed this one.

We meet Edie and John as they're being held hostage in a convenience store. There isn't much interaction or chemistry at this point between them, which is understandable given the circumstances.

After the incident, Edie decides to leave her private school to attend the local public school instead. She's tired of the bullies and drama. She hopes to have a fresh start. She soon realizes that John also attends that public school. Things slowly progress from there.

Edie is going down the wrong path, not caring much about anything anymore. In the meantime, John is trying to get back on the right path. God, I adore John. He's made mistakes in the past and he's really trying to atone for all those bad choices. He's loyal and fiercely protective. Where were guys like him when I was in high school? LOL!!! In the long run, they sort of right each other. Their friendship turned relationship is a gradual progression, but it is beautiful none-the-less. They have a connection that no one else understands. It's certainly a slow-burn, despite the chemistry sizzling between them.

I was a wee bit disappointed with the climax. I was expecting more, but it just kind of happened. IDK. I still really enjoyed the story as a whole despite this.

I loved the secondary characters, most of them at least. LOL!!! I adored Anders. He and Hang are the best kind of friends.

If you like YA books with loads of suspense, intrigue, drama, angst, heartache... That sounds bad. LOL!!! But it's not, it's also got some laughs, some steam, and is just a really good story! I'd definitely recommend it.

It's a robbery gone bad, drama filled and also super sweet love story, with depth and heart.

"You're not a girl; you wouldn't understand. Also, last time I checked, you're not the gatekeeper of my hymen, John Cole. So back the fuck off."

"You're here? "Yeah." "Why?" Because this is where you are,"

I accidentally deleted my first review and never got the chance to re-do it but I remember being enraptured with the story from beginning to end. It had a lot of layers which pulled you into to an emotional journey.

Kylie Scott is one of my favorite authors. When I heard that she was doing YA book, I have to admit I was bit hesitant. I'm not a fan of YA. I like to be able to relate to the book I'm reading is some fashion. I am well past the YA years and I find too much drama and angst in the stories for my personal tastes. Well Ms. Scott just proved that theory wrong with her newest release TRUST.

Edie strength is hands down amazing. She's the kid that gets picked on. She chose to stand up for herself, become a bit of a rebel, and no matter what stayed true to herself. She's caring, kind and smart. Edie make me smile more than once.

John, just wow! Bad boy turned good, but still a bit bad. OMG, I wish there would have been a guy like him in my high school. He's the perfect example of not judging a book by its cover. John has this complexity that makes him a bit a mystery. Under his layers, is a damn fine gentleman in the making. Athletic, good looking and popular, John turn out to be more than I could have ever expected. He just need the push, he didn't know he needed.

First Ms. Scott, kudos to you! Trust is a book I will be talking about for a while. Never would I have ever thought a YA book would suck me in the way it did. Great dialogue, funny banter, and emotions so deep, they cause chills. Well developed characters with complexities and charisma that add so much to the story. Trust is truly a remarkable story. It' captivating and beautiful. Complex and deep in all the right ways. One of those stories that I never saw coming and hit me just right.

I love Kylie Scott. I just do, Her writing strikes a cord with me. That said, I put off reading this book for a reason.
I am not a huge YA fan.
I didn't realize is was a YA when I requested it because it's Kylie Scott. I was torn about going from reading the amazing stories she writes as an adult romance author to something meant for a younger audience. This was a risk I was not sure about taking. I love Kylie Scott but what if I didn't like Trust? What if there WAS a Kylie Scott book I couldn't get into? That would just make me feel like I was betraying one of my favorite authors. You can't NOT like a book by one of your top 5s. You just can't.
Fear not! I may not have liked Trust but I did love it!
I went in fearful I would hate it. I told myself just a few chapters and if I didn't like it I would put it down and never speak of it again. Several hours, no sleep, and two Redbull and vodkas later WHOO. I don't know how it happened but I meant dip my toes in then somehow ended up swimming in Trust. I fell in love with the storyline and the characters and OHMYGOD the intensity in some parts was just WOW.
I can't see anyone not liking this book. And I don't even like YA.

Loved the storyline and the real struggles of the characters. What I loved the most is Edie and her attitude about what happened.

Its a Scott. So my expectations were high!
And just like always they were met!

The writing was engaging and rich with deep meaning when life takes a bad turn. The romance is stilted at times, but isn't young love awkward anyway?
Warning: This is a YA book, but there is sex. While not graphic, it may not be for all young readers.

A cute & fluffy with depth!

This book had a somethings that just did not work for me personally.

A lot of it was the pacing and the actual writing style of this book. It just didn't really work for me and felt a off a little in a lot of places throughout the book.

I also had trouble believing the entire setting of the main character having this entire life change happening because of a robbery. Sure that is a traumatic experience, and i understand that those things can bring you to change how you life and how you see life. But i was missing those moments and explanations in this book that explain to me or tell me as the reader in a good way why this main character gone through those changes after what happened.
I didn't feel as if the robbery was reason enough as it went to really explain everything!

And most of my "problems" are similar as this in the book.

Its not really a problem, its not really something major or extreme that doesn't work or does fit, or needs more explaining. But its overall a bit of a... lack of something that gives me more than this book offers me.

But that is a personal thing to each reader, clearly this book has a lot of people that read it and love it.

Its not a bad book in any ways. But for some reason i expected more from this and didn't quiet get it.

I am sure -and can see it on goodreads- that there are readers for this that love how this book is written and made up, how the relationships, romantic and friendship, evolve and develop in this book. It just wasn't for me personally.

Terribly written and the relationship between the 2 main characters was very unbelievable. Hated both of them. It surprised me, because I love Scott and her previous books. Maybe she should stick to new adult novels from now on.

This was different than any Kylie Scott I've read in the past and I freaking loved it. I had some misgivings about it at first given past experiences with "curvy" female protagonists but I think Kylie did a great job. It was thoughtful and I couldn't put the book down. Trauma is a powerful connection.

Overall Trust is a good story. I am not a huge fan of super steamy in the books I read, so I wasn't expecting it to be as a YA book. I do understand that YA isn't the target audience but reflective of the characters; still it was a bit too much for me. I know most people who enjoy romance of any kind will highly enjoy this. Thanks for the opportunity!

I’ve been meaning to read Kylie Scott forever and now that I have, man have I been missing out! If any of her others books are even half as good as Trust, then I know they are going to be amazing because this book sure was. I really had no idea what I was getting into with Trust not only because Ms. Scott is a new-to-me author, but also seeing as how I’m positive that I most likely didn’t read the synopsis before getting Trust, but even if I did, I remembered nothing of it when I started. Trust turned out to be so much more than what I had been expecting and it was just something else — I loved it!

Trust is only told from Edie’s point of view, so I’m only going to talk about John a little. Despite not being in his head, I really loved John. He’s quiet, down-to-earth and he goes with the flow. He doesn’t have a perfect past, but John is sweet, patient, kind, and dependable. He’s a hero in more ways than one and he completely stole my heart — I just love that boy/man!

I liked Edie from the very beginning and it didn’t take long to fall in love with her. She’s so strong and fierce and grows so much as a person. Edie knows what matters and not what to get hung up on. She’s not afraid to stand up for herself or someone she cares about. Edie is a fighter and while I might have made her sound like she’s an all-in-your face character, she’s really not. She has a bit of that same quiet, down-to-earth quality that John does to. There’s a lot to Edie and you’ll just have to meet her to find out all about her, she’s worth the meet.

Trust was not as angsty as I thought it was going to be once I learned what it was about — not that it didn’t have it’s heartbreaking moments, because it did — but I loved how it focused more on life, living, and what’s important versus what’s not. It was beautiful, deep, and touching. Trust was so full of just everything and I really loved and enjoyed reading it.

Trust is a standalone told from Edie’s point of view and she and John get their happily-ever-after.

In one word of Trust by Kylie Scott is beautiful. There is no way to explain this book without spoilers for it is a book worth getting. What I loved the most is Edie and her attitude about well what happened. Reading about her makes you feel like you were there going through it and boy Kylie Scott just wowed me. John is not a guy you usually see in books like this for Kylie went deep into John. This is actually the first for me in reading Kylie Scott`s stories and definitely not going to stop at this one. She is talented in a way that just reading the first chapter brings it to life to the point where you heart will stop and in suspense with what happens next. Loved it.

This was a first in the Romance genre for me and it was a pretty good introduction although I'm not sure I'm a huge fan.
I thought the characters were all great, even the side characters. Edie was strong even while going through some stuff after the whole 'being held hostage at gunpoint' thing and it was great to see how she grows and matures and also watch the bond she creates with John. John who is a total babe and is definitely a book character. Strong and caring, a great mix of bad boy but also boy next door. I'm sure there are a fair few people who swooned over him.
I also enjoyed how Edie is a plus size character and yet this isn't the main thing with the story. Nor is there any times 'oh how will he love me when I'm not a size 4' comes up and I LOVED that!
Although Romance isn't my thing, I have this weird second hand embarrassment thing that comes over me at the slightest hint of something 'cute and romantic' (I don't understand it either) this was a sweet and overall pretty enjoyable read.

Being held at gunpoint is not the normal teenage experience. Smoking for the first time, falling in love, getting your heartbroken and going to prom are all normal teenage experiences. For Edie, the only thing that happened was being held at gunpoint and watching people die. Fortunately for her she isn’t alone in that experience. John is there with her. Edie will rely on John and John on Edie, but in the end will they truly trust and cope or will it all be gone at the end of a gun?
I loved this book. Kylie Scott is one of my favorite authors. She is good at writing steamy romances with rocker and alpha males. I was a little skeptical with her step into the young adult genre. Well, she blew it out of the water. She takes a horrible experience for two people and creates an emotionally complex story and keeps the reality of them still being teenagers part of the story. Edie and John are fantastic. I truly think this is probably one of the most captivating of Kylie Scott’s books. You are drawn into this story and won’t be able to put it down. The emotions and coping along with the aspect of PTSD for both characters truly colors every aspect. Who Edie and John are before the conveninece store the reader will never know. But, the Edie and John that come after are complex, emotional and real. I loved this book. It is one of my favorites for 2017. I hope to see more from Kylie Scott in this new to her genre.

As much as I love some of Kylie Scott's other books, this one felt a bit off the mark. I think she just did too good of a job writing a high school character. Because reading this was exactly like being back in my high school minded self .
