I love Tiffany Reisz's books, but this one fell a bit short to me. I wasn't keen on the paranormal resolution, and would have liked a bit more plot to go with the sex scenes.

This is without a doubt the best book I've read in a very long time. Tiffany Reisz has been one of my favorite authors, even though one of her more recent works didn't do much for me. But she is back to form 100% with this one! Wow! This book has it all. The characters are interesting, the interactions are HOT, the plot is full of intrigue, and most of all, it is SO imaginative, it makes me positively giddy.

The backdrop of a gallery on thin ice is right up my alley as an artist. I can relate. But boy oh boy, I wish my art studies had been this fascinating! I'd certainly have paid attention better in Art History classes, that's for sure.

I have always appreciated it when an author researches things well for a book rather than just coming up with a rehashed plot with names and professions changed, but basically the same book over and over. But there is NOTHING boilerplate about Ms. Reisz's work, and this book is especially terrific. It's not a book for sissies though. And it will keep you guessing and thinking right up to the very end.

Kudos for writing such a great story. And thank you, NetGalley, for letting me read an ARC in exchange for my review. The pleasure was all mine.

Mona's mom recently died and Mona now owns/runs her beloved art gallery. The Red.
But with all the medical costs and the debts of the gallery, Mona probably won't be able to stay in business - even though it's the one thing she had to promise her mother on her deathbed.

Enter Malcom. He's a hot mysterious stranger who's suddenly standing in the gallery with an offer Mona can't refuse. Well, she could, but she's intrigued - and she definitely needs what he's offering: priceless art to save the gallery!

Thus starts one year of amazingly erotic pleasure for Mona - and priceless artsy pleasure for her gallery!

But who is Malcom? Where did he come from? Why is he doing this?
WHAT THE EVERLOVING HELL IS HAPPENING? ☺☺☺

That's what this reader was asking herself all through the book!
I didn't really know what to expect when I started the book - it said EROTIC FANTASY! And I'm not really a fan of anything paranormal, so in any other case I probably wouldn't have read it, BUT it also said Tiffany Reisz, so there was no question at all whether I was going to read it or not. ☺

And I loved it!
It's so unbelievably erotic! Phew!!! Holy potato! Those were some sinfully sexy encounters!!

Full of mystery, mythology, role-play, ménages, art history ... hardcore porn. ☺

Every chapter was named after the painting that would inspire the upcoming 'session' with Malcom - and I always googled those pictures to see how the scene was supposed to look! ☺

It was all soo mysterious! Who the hell is Malcom? Where did he come from? Dare we ask WHEN did he come from??? And what is his ultimate goal??

Please read this book! Yes, it's so very different from those usual sexy New Adult romances, but you'll love the extreme sexiness and mysteriousness and artsy-ness of this lovely little story! I sooo did! But of course it won't be for anyone. It's extremely - almost over-the-top - erotic. Too much for some to handle. ;) But Tiffany, or rather, Nora, wrote it, so we have to love it! And I did.

Another amazing #MustRead by Tiffany Reisz! Extremely & sinfully erotic & intriguingly mysterious!!!! ☺

This was my first book by the author. I've heard great things but I had never read any of her work yet. Admittedly, I found the story somewhat strange as it developed, but it was well written. Mona was a character I wanted to like but had a hard time with as time went on. The plot was entertaining but reached a point near the end where it just became too much. I finished the book but started to lose interest 3/4 through it. Overall I enjoyed the experience but have to admit that the story itself was a little strange.

Guarantee it will be hot in July and it's not just global warming! This book is scorching! Tiffany Reisz's characters and stories are so complex, kinky, twisted and shockingly likable. And for Original Sinners fans this is such a treat.

One of the best books in this genre that I have read in along time.
Not only does it have the erotica one is looking for but a really good story that is well researched .
A scorching hot read with a real twist in the tail at the end.

If you are avid fan of this author's work, like I am, you know you can expect two things.
1) Something deeply erotic.
2) Something completely original.

Initially, this book starts off like several other romances I've read, where a man has a proposition for a woman that is centered on sex. But that's where the similarities end. The arrangement made between Mona and Malcolm is usually not only because of the timeframe, with midnight meetings only once a month, or less. But also because these meetings are deeply set in fantasy, with specific acts inspired by famous works of art.

I will tell you up front, I recommend that this book be read behind closed doors. I guarantee that at least one scene will have you grabbing your vibrator, and lover of choice. If you've read the sinners series, you know that this author has the ability to create discomfort for her reader, with the balance of pain and pleasure, that may have you questioning the character's actions, yet still turning you on. No other author, that I've read, has the ability to do this.

"It's one thing to allow a man to pleasure you. It's quite another to allow him to hurt you. You'll know real powerlessness tonight, real fear, true pain. And I will drink it like wine."

With regards to originality, this book has it in spades. Why? Partly due to fantasy type scenes, but more so with where the story leads. Specifically, who is Malcolm? I had some theories along the way on where the story would lead, and they were all wrong.

As with any book from this author, go into this with an open mind. And prepare for a wild journey.

This book was not really for me, but it definitely was imaginative and intriguing. I can definitely see others being very interested and excited by it.

A dreamy, erotic journey through art and body, Mona pays the ultimate price order to save her mother's gallery. We're talking kink of the highest caliber. Tiffany Reisz proves that everything she crafts is both genius and pure magic.

Cold Shower required! Let's remember story is penned by Nora so as an Original Sinners fan it's even more exhilerating to read. Now in true Tiffany Reisz fashion we have Steamy, sexy and you're squirming wanting more and more. I find myself clutching my kindle. This story you really don't know where it's leading you. Deathbed promises , deals ,what's real what's fantasy. You are so enraptured along with Mona trying to figure out who is the elusive Malcolm, the how's the why's. The end was great I am a closer I love a great climax and this as though it went fast all comes together . You need to remember have fun enjoy the ride and keep an open mind. Loved it.

Tiffany is an amazing author. I am normally not a PN fan, however, if Tiffany wrote I have to read it. Tiffany lead me into another world. Took me on a journey through the years, had me looking up art in the internet. Tiffany just does that to me, always pulls me right in. . This was a must read for me, simply because of Tiffany and Nora Sutherland. That's all that had to be said in the description and I was sold.

This was beyond a sexy read, beyond erotic. The sex scenes were fascinating, completely stimulating. I found this story to just grab hold and not let go. I really did not want the book to come to an end. The descriptions of places, events, surroundings and characters were incredible. I totally could picture the book as I read it. The maze, the forest, and the jail, incredible.

These characters Tiffany created were so interesting, evolving, full of surprises. I was shocked and scared in a few scenes what would happen to Mona, but that's the beauty of Tiffany's work, that's what she does, that's why I love reading her books. I never know what to expect, and when to expect it. I usually finish a Tiffany book with a blown mind, and this is still true.
]

I completely loved Malcolm, his character was intense, sexy, and down right arrogant, and I loved him for it. Mona, was strong willed not afraid to be who she is and accept life journey. I must say I was a little disappointed that Malcolm was a dream, I so wanted him to be real. I would love to see where Mona's and Spencer life will go,

Will Malcolm come back for another visit now that he's back where he belongs???

This is a somewhat difficult review to write. First of all, Tiffany Reisz is an amazing and talented writer. (TOS is one of my all time favorite series) She brings her books to so much life with her vivid and vibrant words. She writes erotica like no other. So here is the difficult part. While I loved the premise of the story, the story had way too much sex. I know I know.....how can this be? Sex drove the story instead of the plot driving the story for me.

Mona is the owner of The Red Gallery. She is fixing to lose the gallery due to bills. But one day a mysterious man, Malcolm, enters the gallery and tells Mona he will help her save the gallery. But to save the gallery, he wants Mona to give her body to him for a year. He will show up from time to time and when he does he expects Mona to do as he says, to fully submit. Sex in exchange for saving her gallery......plain and simple, or is it?

When Malcom shows up, he incorporates his time with Mona around famous sexual paintings. They are erotic and Malcom loves to role play. Mona finds herself completely aroused and entranced by these highly sexual moments. Each time the encounters becomes more and more erotic and seemingly unreal in their environment. There is nothing wrong with these encounters except that I felt that there was not much of a connection between Malcom and Mona. Their times together were just sexual and it didn't allow me to feel what I needed from these two. It wasn't till the end that I was able to feel something for them and better understand.

And then the end came and while it was rushed, it was somewhat of a relief, if that makes sense. I did liked how the author brought the story full circle. The answers to lingering questions were answered about Dreams, Reality, Truth, Doubts, and the Mysterious Malcolm.

This book was a ARC provided by NetGalley for an honest review (thank you! )

This book was more fantasy like. I kept trying to figure out how Malcolm did theses thing and the end brought it together. I agree with other reviewers that the end was rushed and could have been stretched out a bit better. This book was not what i was expecting and some of the scenes in it make me scratch my head.

From the very beginningThe book started off great. A girl losing the battle of saving her mothers art gallery. To the point she is willing to do anything, but nothing will help. Then this mysterious man, came in and pulled a wrecking ball on Mona. When he proposed a deal with her that would save Mona's art gallery, she was apprehensive. But, she came around to the idea, and agreed.

Now, when the stipulations of the deal were told and agreed, I was sure that I would not like this book or be able to read it. It was way too much for my taste.

Oh, but the tables turned on me. It was the most wicked experience I had read. It was the biggest turn on. Now, I wouldn't personally do any of this, but WOW. It is so hard to even explain without giving the story away.

But, the mysterious, Malcolm, knew what he was doing. He made Mona fall in love with him magically. He had a goal. He was getting her ready and setting her up for her future.

I was hoping for a lovely happy ending for Mona and Malcolm. They were just perfect for each other. He made her see and feel things you cannot believe. With that, this ending was not what I expected.

I will recommend any lover of romance and erotica reads, read this. It is awesome.

The Red by Tiffany Reisz is a deeply satisfying erotic novel of fantasy and drama that is sure to please her fans of the Original Sinners series and garner her a whole new group of them. With lyrical prose and characters that beg to be real, Reisz has crafted another novel of romance and sex and fantasies that come true.

The Red is an art gallery that is not only painted red but is also deeply in the red financially. It's current owner, Mona Lisa St. James promised her dying mother that she would do everything she could to save the gallery. But now, in its final hour, Mona Lisa may have run out of options. Late one night after closing, she is contemplating the need to sell the gallery when she spots a mysterious stranger staring at one of the portraits. The stranger makes Mona Lisa an offer she finds she cannot resist. Submit to him for the period of one year, whenever he shows and he will save the gallery. To show her a taste of his wealth he leaves a painting with her. A painting whose worth can keep her the Red afloat for a time. She agrees and embarks on a fantasy of sex and desire and illusion. Her benefactor is handsome and English and seems capable of not only creating sexual fantasies out of thin air but to change reality for the span of a night. From being sold to slavery to wood nymphs to bondage to every whim he could come up with, Mona Lisa submits with a passion. Each night of desire and debauchery correlating to a painting that he gives to her. But now Mona Lisa must wonder what she will do once the year is up. The Red will be saved but is she ruined? Can she go on without the desire and fantasies he has awoken in her?

Reisz writes erotica very, very well. Not as some clandestine dirty book to be hidden but as the art form it is. Desire is physical and mental and emotional and she develops all of these.

Mona Lisa benefactor is far more than a rich bored sex crazed billionaire. The kind that overpopulates this genre. No his character goes far deeper. He is a spirit, a ghost of sorts, a man keeping a promise. His desires feed into hers and together they embark on a year of erotic heat that is our pleasure to read.

For fans of the Original Sinners, and if you are not you need to be, the fantasy aspect of this novel may be a bit of a twist but the writing will be just as enjoyable.

A real good read.

I received an ARC copy of this book from NetGalley in exchange for an honest review. However, I think NetGalley may need to hand out towels to collect the drool along with copies of this little beauty...because dayum! I think, it is well known in popular public opinion, that Tiffany Reisz reigns on high, as one of the queens of erotic fiction... she is truly in a master class all by herself. People would pay to read her grocery list, just to see what kind of descriptions she'd attach to items, I'd bet!

Anyway, this book. This book, y'all. Wow! I don't even have the words to break it down for you. Steam warning... I mean, seriously, have a cold drink on standby, maybe the fire department... because Ms. Reisz doesn't pull *any* punches in this book. It is probably one of the most sexually explicit books I have ever read. Ever.

That being said, this probably will be a bit of an unpopular opinion; but after all the build, the ending seemed a bit rushed... The writing is superb, no issues there. An interesting take on the main character's plight and rapid resolution.

Thank you, NetGalley for allowing me the privilege of reviewing this book prior to it's release. 3 stars.

WARNING: Due to explicit sexual content, this story is for mature (18 and over) audiences only.

I would love to live in Tiffany Reiz's head if only for a day. The stories that this woman can churn out are nothing short but incredible (and undeniably sexy).

The Red is a beautifully captivating erotica story that will capture you from the very first pages, and keep you glued to your screen until you have finished. Ms.Reiz paints a very vivid picture with her writings, and in this case, drew inspiration from real life works of art to elevate the characters and their sexual exploits to a whole new level. The characters are complex, and their story is not a romance. It's a gritty narrative into letting go of yourself and experiencing levels of sexual fantasy that you never could have imagined.

Overall, I am certain this story will appeal to those who enjoy well-written erotica novels.
