Oh, My friggin god !!!! I'm not quite sure where to start with this review, perhaps with a disclaimer that if you have a weak constitution maybe put this book down now as the Red is likely to give you a bleeding heart attack with its dubiously delectable content.
ME!!! well, bring on the coronary because this book man, what a way to go!!
But seriously if you're easily offended or a bit of a novice to the erotica genre, you might want to start your journey with something a little less hard-core, as The Red Is not a novel with romantic lovey-Dovey phrases or lame-ass cliches.
It was so refreshing that it called a spade a spade!!!
no cutesy words, just plain tell it as it is loved that.
This for me was one of the biggest reasons this gets a big smokin thumbs up from me.
and I can honestly say I have never quite read anything like this before, The Red has an almost mythical surreal quality to some of its happenings, with its play on famous works of art and nymphs and minotaurs.
I hadn't had the delight of experiencing Tiffany Reisz's work before so this was a first for me, First but will not be the last time now I have discovered the voice of this unique author.
The Red's Storyline is simple, Mona Lisa St James needs to save her late mother's Art Gallery and she's practically broke.
Enter Malcolm her mysterious saviour who offers to pay Mona in very expensive art in return for carte-blanche when it comes to her body.
whatever he wishes, he gets, once a month for a year, after that he will disappear from her life forever and Mona will have the means to save the gallery.
The tale then takes us through every encounter, each one different, some more depraved than others but each encounter will make you squirm with its lack of modesty and the sheer corruption in Malcolm's every action.
I loved the way the story unfolded and I would say this was more of a delicious debasement than a romance, a debasement that our girl Mona embraced and welcomed wholeheartedly as The Red draws to its inevitable conclusion.
It's quite obvious to the reader that Malcolm has a hidden agenda which becomes more apparent to Mona as the story unfolds
Quite frankly hidden agendas, in my opinion, are all well and good but honestly, I was just counting the seconds to Mona and Malcolm's next session Take 1, Take 2 Take 3 could go on and on here sigh.
Well anyway, I really enjoyed The Red and would happily recommend it to my fellow perverts all that's left is for me to profusely thank the publisher and NetGalley for allowing me to read an advanced reader copy of this novel by Tiffany Reisz, this is an unbiased reflection of said novel.

Yowzers! This book was HOT. From the very beginning I was sucked into this erotic dream world and hoped I'd never wake up. I flipped pages so quickly, I needed to know what was happening. Tiffany sure knows how to keep me wanting.

**Holy freaking smut. ** I love this cover so much it hurts. This book was crazy good until about 73%, then it took a kinda weird turn and I almost tapped out, but I kept at it and man, I am glad I held on for that wild ride.
This story follow a gal name Mona who owns a Art Gallery that is floundering when a man shows up and offers her a way out, she did make a promise to her mother on her death bed to do ANYTHING to keep the gallery. She takes her death bed oaths serious, to the next level serious. I don't want to give to much away, but use your imagination and multiply it.....

Tiffany Reisz is one of my all time favorite authors, and I couldn't wait to get my hands on The Red. When it landed on my kindle, I more than squealed in joy. My mind was blown, the amount of steam left me breathless, and I could not put this book down! It was simply brilliant, and Tiffany Reisz blew this book out of the water. The Red was absolutely incredible, A sweet and immensely raw erotic tale that was raunchy to the very core!

I have mixed feelings about The Red. There were a lot of things that I liked about this book and some things I didn't like.
I liked the paranormal element. It is clear quite early on that Malcom is not a mere human and it was fun trying to guess who he is and what is really happening. There is a dream-like, hallucinatory quality to Mona's and Malcom's meetings which gives the book a unique feel. Every sexual encounter is inspired by a classical painting and the scenes from each painting are recreated between Mona and Malcom. I found it very interesting. I like art but I am not very knowledgeable about it. Some of the paintings I knew and some I didn't, so I googled a few of them and it helped me to imagine the scenes. Every time a book teaches me something new I am very happy.
I wasn't comfortable with some of the sexual acts. I found some of them a little disturbing and dark even though they were sort of consensual. I am not a stranger to erotica but this book pushed my boundaries. Also I didn't love the ending. The introduction of the third important character came too late in the story, it felt forced and the ending was rushed.

I love everything this author writes. Reisz is an auto buy for me becuase all her work is so unique. This particular book was hot and filthy and just amazing. It was fantasy and romance and the most erotic sex scenes, maybe even more erotic than her sinners series though. Nora is still my absolute favorite heroine of all time. I adored Mona and her erotic awakening. I loved the inclusion of art and using different art within their lovemaking. The nymph and satyr scene was my favorite (hehe). I can't wait to see what Reisz writes next, maybe it will be another "Nora Southerlin" book? 😉

Could not get into story, too random and instant infatuation not believable. Crude and offensive to women. Did not like

Mona inherited a dying art gallery from her mother after agreeing to do anything to keep the gallery. She is then visited by a man who seems to come out of nowhere (literally since she did not hear him enter her gallery) who agrees to help her save the gallery of she agrees to be his toy for a year. This has elements of paranormal erotica. The end was rather interesting, still unsure how I feel about it. Thanks to netgalley and publisher for ARC.

Bizarre. Sexy. And oddly funny. I was waiting in anticipation of the Tiffany Reisz plot twist and of course The Red doesn't disappoint. :) From the mind of Nora Sutherlin, right? I could totally see Nora reading this out loud to Søren.
Thank you NetGalley for the ARC!

Ok, the title kinda says it all and if you enjoy this trope then this book is definitely one you will love. ‘Bad Boy’s Fake Wedding’ by Lexi Whitlow is exactly what it says, a bad boy turned good and needs a wife to help him out so instead of spending looking for the real thing which he thinks won’t happen he chooses to opt for a fake bride. Regardless of what I’ve said and what this book is called it is a great 4 star read.
Lexi Whitlow manages to make this an interesting and entertaining read with great characters and great writing. This book tells the story of reformed bad boy Liam who in order to get his daughter back he will do anything to make that happen. So when the idea is formed to have a wife that will give the appearance of a stable relationship and good family environment that is exactly what he sets out to find. However, he doesn’t need to go far to find the perfect girl to be his wife.
Skye has no idea what she sets in motion by walking into Liam’s bar and that she might just have found the perfect guy to help with her situation too. This friends with benefits story just might turn into something much deeper.
Both main characters were really likeable and relatable which made it much easier to read and enjoy. The chemistry between the two of them was blatant from the start and has you wanting so much more for both of them. The struggle that Liam has to go through to try and get his daughter back has you emotionally engaging with his character and feeling so much for his situation.
I happily recommend this book and will be looking out for what Lexi Whitlow has in store for us next.

Lawd help!
This was the smuttiest book I've read. All the stars!
Booksource: Netgalley in exchange for review

I have read Tiffany Reisz before and again she did not disappoint with this novel.
Mona has just lost her mother and is in danger of losing her living too as the gallery her mother owned is is a financial crisis.
That is until Malcolm comes in to her life, a mystery man with an offer to save the gallery and the offer of more money to continue. The transaction for this? Mona.
He's attractive, she likes him so what could be so bad.Carte blanche is his deal.
What transpires is a year of experiences when Malcolm visits on a monthly to six weekly basis. The sex scenes are steamy and hot and as usual from this author quite inventive.
Malcolm leaves a book of art which he make the page of the next scene they will act out. Although described, you instantly find yourself googling to see the image of the picture to assist in the build up to the encounter.
There are scenes of group sex but Malcolm assures Mona these are images he sees and therefore she sees. So is she drugged? Is this all in Monas imagination? You are left wondering throughout but all is revealed at the end.
The book is such that you do not want to put it down, keen to know Malcolms secret and where this will leave Mona.
If anything the ending is rather more abrupt than I would have liked but the pieces do slot together.
You will need a fan when reading this the scenes are so hot.
A real page turner and a good story.
Thanks to Netgalley, the author and publisher for a ARC in return for an honest review.

This book is HOT! Very vivid imagery is used throughout.

The Red wasn't at all what I expected...
This book was more of a porno than anything else, for people looking for a romance I suggest you to run.
It will be nice for the authors to warn us when books have menage, bestiality ect I was really caught off guard..

The Red is an odd story. The language is stilted and the style of writing reminds me of something written years ago. The story is a strange one, with plot points that don't get enough attention. Finding out he is a ghost seems like a point the main character would spend some time ruminating, but I felt her reaction wasn't true to how people would respond.

Only when I read Tiffany Reisz, do I end up spending half of my reading time staring at paintings at or scanning through classic literature to fully understand references. The smartest smut around. The sex, the erotica, is secondary in a tiffany reisz novels. At this point I barely even notice the sex (and there is sooo much). It's about what is between the lines. The amazing development of characters and story. She makes you want to be friends with even the worst of them... Makes you wish you WERE THEM ! The book I've spent years wanting to read, The Red come to life

Half way into the book... After the riding crop, after the riding boots and the counting and love and pain and pleasure.... It reoccurred to me that this is from the heart and soul of Nora Sutherland. This is Soren and King... This is Nora's experience as a mistress, all poured into this novel and into each encounter with Malcolm. Suddenly, I was not watching Mona and Malcolm, but Nora and Soren... and the encounter becomes all the more beautiful. Ms. Reisz has done it again.
Mona St. James in dire need of money to save her gallery from closing. Thinking of possible ways on how to come up with it left her tired and spent, that Mona decided to head home and call it a night. Just when she’s about to lock the gallery, Mona noticed a man in front of a painting, studying it. After several minutes the mysterious man turned to look at Mona and bluntly told her that he can help to solve her financial problem in exchange of intimate rendezvous, at least once or twice a month.
“You know I’m not a prostitute, yes? She asked.
“Not yet. But I think you’ll make a fine whore.”
Without so much thought, no matter how absurd it is, Mona found herself agreeing to Malcolm’s proposal.
“Excellent, just what I’ve been wanting to hear for a very long time. We’ll start tomorrow night.”
“So soon?”
Here begins the sensual fantasy of Mona in the hands of a mysterious man named Malcolm.
When you read a book by Tiffany Reisz every scene is like a “no holds barred”. Everything is completely unrestrained! Just when you thought she won’t write it because it’s too steamy, too sensual, erotic, brace yourself because you will be reading it without any apology. That’s why I like this author!
The Red will simply leave you breathless with scenes that are best described as sizzling. Hands down to the imagination of this writer to create a scene solely from paintings of a well-known artist. I tremendously enjoyed this well-written, kinky-paranormal-romance-historical, standalone. If you want to stimulate your carnal desires, and discover how good the author is, I highly recommend this book!

Let me start by saying this was another fabulously well-crafted story by Tiffany Reisz, and a thoroughly enjoyable read. It was so good, I read it almost entirely in a single sitting.
I read this book before reading any other reader reviews. I read it on the strength of Tiffany Reisz's other books, with only the brief book description as background. Based on having read the Original Sinners series, I was not expecting the paranormal elements of this book. I enjoyed the paranormal twist, I was just somewhat surprised in my expectations - which isn't necessarily a bad thing.
The erotic scenes were top-notch, as always. But it's the story telling that sets Tiffany Reisz apart from other erotic fiction writers. Reisz manages to pack some truly steamy scenes into a genuinely interesting story, rather than the other way around. For those who've only dipped a toe into erotic fiction by reading the recent big-selling series' mainstream readers have heard about, I would highly recommend Tiffany Reisz' books as an excellent modern example of the genre.
Without spoiling any of the details, the story of The Red follows a young gallery owner who agrees to an indecent proposal in order to save her failing business in accordance with her mothers' dying wish. The whirlwind of the central romance starts there, and incorporates themes of fine art history, classical history, gender roles and stereotypes, and also how family history can define/affect a person. Throughout the book, Mona, the protagonist, seems increasingly removed from reality. This is highlighted by the paranormal elements that become apparent as the book goes on. Without spoiling the ending, I would say that Reisz found an elegant solution that I'm sure will keep readers happy.
I would highly recommend this stand-alone book to fans of erotic fiction, or those interested in reading something in the genre.

Thank you so much for this ARC! A full review of THE RED will be posted closer to release.

Hot, steamy, erotic. Some taboo subjects but a fairly decent read
