Kawaii Doodle Class is a novice-friendly, easily accessible how-to book for delightful doodles. There are step-by-step walkthroughs on how to draw cuteness from scratch and the book even offers space to practice what you've learned and doodle directly on the pages.. Instructionals feature plants, food, monsters, and even everyday objects just to show that anything can be made adorable, the only limit is your imagination!

Kawaii Doodle Class is a fun book that provides hours of fun for those who like to Doodle. The book is divided into categories like Food, Holidays, Monsters and more. Every item can be drawn by following a simple tutorial and there's room for free-drawing as well. At the end of the book there are a couple of cute coloring pages. All in all, a nice book if you want to learn how to doodle Kawaii style.

I think this book is great for children. I would buy it for one of my nieces if they were older, as the drawings were explained in detail on how to achieve them.

Zainab Khan's Kawaii Doodle Class gives readers simple instructions for creating adorable characters. I have no artistic ability when it comes to drawing. I thought if nothing else this book would be fun to look through. I was surprised at how easy some of the doodles were to replicate. The illustrations were easy to follow. While my drawings were far from perfect, it gives me the confidence to keep trying. I have already used what I learned to amaze a few young relatives. I am glad I did not let my artistic short comings stop me from checking out this charming book.

Kawaii means cute and this book certainly has that factor!

In cute pastel shades the cover pops with eye catching colour, illustrations of variety with many cute little faces from cakes to people like characters with angel wings, it let's your imagination run free with the unexpected and unrealistic making it a work of eye opening wonder!

The book starts with a list of tools and essentials what you can use to have a go with but so long as you have at least a pen or pencil with some paper to hand you can try some sketches from the off.

The book pages are set with cute borders alike clouds, in pastel and deeper blue against the plain white background on which the drawing tips and demonstration step by step images sit on.

You don't need to be an amazing artist to be able to use this book as everything is super simple to follow, I personally loved the flower designs best and there's a handy way to draw a rose I found useful!

Many thanks to the publishers for allowing me to review this book for them!

First let me start off by saying I am in no way an artist. Give me a crochet hook or jewelry making things and I'll make something awesome. But drawing not....very successful at it. However this is simple easy directions with step by step pictures and I have to say I can make little drawings now on my kids things that they absolutely love.

it is quite nice to have some lights about japanese kawaii or anime designs.
The book is cute but could have some more elaborated matter or designs as well as explaining more about the kawaii culture.

Kawaii basically means 'cute' in Japanese. The style is happy, friendly, cuddly and, well, cute. Zainab Khan quit her day job to doodle full time and the result is adorable.

This is a how-to book. The sections and tutorials are grouped into: Adorable food and drinks, lovable nature, cheerful doodle monsters, everyday cute and charming holiday decorations. Each of the characters has a step by step tutorial and also includes inspiration pages and doodle pages for practicing what you've learned.

As with most how-to-draw books, it includes a list of materials (with a 'Don't Panic', pick up a pencil and draw! message), as well as tips and tricks to get the shy artist in motion.

What follows are pages and pages of step by step tutorials for creating your own kawaii doodle creations. The taco made me giggle out loud. Really really cute!

The book seems to be slanted to a mostly younger audience, but frankly I see kawaii stethoscopes and syringes and microscopes in my future 'meeting doodles' in the margins of my notes.

Well worth a look, especially if you have a young artist (or wannabe) on your hands.

Four stars

Disclosure: I received an ARC at no cost from the author/publisher.

Very cute book for beginner, the instructions are easy to follow to draw Kawaii doodles. This book perfect as a gift for family or friends who want to learn how to doodles because it's very cute and simple. The reason I give this book 4 stars is because I expected more color.

Thank you Netgalley for this book.

Such an adorable book!
I just learned that the cartoon type I find so cute is called kawaii, and know I can draw some similar. I do not think of my self of a good drawer, or a bad one for that matter, so I was a little skeptical to the tutorials. But after trying a few of them I found them just as cute as the ones in the book. So I will say that the tutorials are easy to follow. I have tried a few other drawing books like this one, but found that the tutorials increased in difficulty too fast. This did not happen here. It kept the drawings to a comfortable level all the way through.

At the end there were a few pages of games, and you could color them if you wanted. I felt that these pages came some what out of the blue. I liked them, but suggest that they could be a book of its own in stead, all thou the combination of the tutorials and the games made the book different from other books of the same kind.

I would like to by this book to keep for my self, and then as a book form so I can color and draw directly into the book.

I will say right now, I absolutely can not draw. I'm one of those talentless folks who try and try, but just can't. This book is so helpful though! Cute from cover to cover, and simple enough that even I can follow along and make my own cute little doodles!

This is a great stepping stone to branching off into making your own cute doodles or something more complicated. I can actually see these Kawaii doodles being really useful! They can be worked into crafts, and would be perfect for people who keep bullet journals!

I highly recommend this cute doddle book to those who need some help in the art department, those who don't, and people who just can resist cute!

This book was good fun - I have a few ideas for classroom display doodles and using doodles to develop fine motor skills in young people

This book is honestly adorable. It's a great little book to learn to draw kawaii doodles. I think it would be better as a physical book so you can flip through it quickly. It is adorable and is helpful for those wanting to draw. I tried some for myself and it's something you should probably try with a pencil first and take time with it. But once you get the hang of it, it's fun knowing that there's a bunch of options for doodling.

This is such a great book! Packed full of Kawaii doodles, the illustrations themselves are cute, and the tutorials are broken down so simply step-by-step, that it's not hard to feel like an artist after trying out a few of the ideas! The written instructions couldn't be more straight-forward. For keen doodle artists this is a really great starting point, and it'll be a while before you run out of ideas. There is space at the end of the book to try out some doodles, as well as some 'hide and seek' type pages. Overall, this is a brilliant book for arty types.
