The Yogi Assignment exceeded my expectations. I didn't know what to think of a Social Media sensation becoming an author but MacGregor's transition is handled well. I loved the descriptions and how each day was explained well from multiple perspectives and the purpose was clearly stated and demonstrated. I think a lot of the poses that are photographed throughout the book could be intimidating for beginners and might overwhelmed them, I think more of a balance between beginner and advanced poses would have come off better to a novice but they are brilliant to look at.

A clear, yet profound, guide to one's personal yoga practice that expertly bridges the gap between what is so readily available to most students and the ultimate promises of this ancient practice.

Great book as far as the reflections and mind work go. The poses are way beyond my ability. Would have liked to see a progression of poses for each section.

It is a good book but I still felt a bit conflicted by it. The messages are good but the pictures tell a different story. The words are very spiritual but the pictures are very 'glossy magazine, glamorous women doing her most challenging poses in tiny bikini on beautiful beach. It just didn't feel quite right. Maybe not something everyone will relate to. I still enjoyed looking at the pictures though !!!
