Seth and Ally have been friends since High School. But now that his 3 year old daughter has been pressuring him for a sibling, he proposes a a deal in order for Ally to finally go to college.

Ally's spent her childhood and adulthood taking care of her ailing parent. Now that her mother has passed, she's sold her home and has a future for herself. She's also been secretly in love with Seth since the day she met him. Knowing she's not his type, she's been relegated to BFF and a surrogate mother to his daughter.

Seth knows his proposal is a little strange, but the only way he can be sure that he won't have another child with a woman who is only in it for the money, is by asking his best friend. As time goes on, he starts to show Ally that he's actually attracted to her. He truly wants to be with her.

Ally has almost no experience with men and doesn't see all the signs from Seth that show he wants to be more than friends.

With the help of Seth's twin brother, Oliver and her other best friend, Sage, they soon come to understand that they have always loved each other. Now there is nothing keeping them apart, but themselves.

I thought it was a sweet story, but not a rom-com at all to me. I don't know if it was the narrators, or what, but the story seemed a little stilted.

I still don't understand why Seth and Oliver's father is so mean to Ally, yet so nice to Sage. I just don't get his damage. But I do like it enough to go to the next story about Oliver and Sage.

Seth had one person that had seen him through everything. She was his constant. Always by his side and the only one who would never put up with his ability to help her out financially. Ally had helped her mother through battling cancer. She helped her day in and day out. Always giving even when her mother ultimately lost the fight of her life. Seth has a proposition they will make her question everything she held dear. Would she give him what he wants or will she lose something else in the process. Her heart never stood a chance.

Taryn Quinn is fast becoming one of my favorite authors and books like this are the reason why. She just has a way with words and plots that totally engage me and make me root for her characters. Loved it!

Let's get the negatives out of the way. The title (both of the book, and the series) are ridiculous. Laughably so. However, if you can get past that, the story is wonderful and thoroughly enjoyable.

Seth and Ally have been friends forever, so it only seems natural that Seth asks Ally to have his baby after his young daughter insists upon having a sibling. Over the course of the novel, much ensues as Seth and Ally realize there is more between them than friendship and coming to terms with the development.

Once I got over the first person narrative (not really a fan) I was 100% engaged in this friends to lovers to more story. Both Ally and Seth are written spectacularly, and the sex-scenes are top-notch. I am hoping there will be more books in this series... perhaps Seth's brother!

It was an okay book. I thought the relationship between the two main characters could have developed more as the book went on. With the characters being best friends for many years, I didn't feel that there was a strong enough connection between them.

This is my first read Taryn Quinn and I wasn’t disappointed. The synopsis is pretty spot on and I found the characters to be likable. A few threads also seemed to be left open for the possibility of a sequel, which I liked because the secondary characters were interesting.
Seth and Ally’s story is not overly complicated, the drama was not over the top and I liked it. I would have liked to see a bit more between Seth and Ally in terms of their friendship but their banter was enjoyable. I adored the parts with Laurie. Overall, I would say this is a solid three star book.

Have my baby is the first book, not just in the series, but the first book by the author that I have read.
Admittedly, I have read a number of single dad and hot 'daddy' books before and so I knew when I received a copy of this book from Netgalley and Rainbow Rage Publishing what I may be getting when I read the book.
Truth is, you can get some really good, well written books that follow this trope and you can get some really bad written ones.
Some of the really well written ones come from authors such as Alexa Riley, Isabella Starling, Penelope Bloom and Penny Wylder and if you have read Have my Baby and enjoyed it then you may very well enjoy books by these authors as well.
Have my Baby may not have been a thoroughly captivating read but it did keep me mildly entertained and I did enjoy the hot sex scenes.
However, I lacked a connection to the characters, I just didn't feel the emotion, either between the characters or to myself as a reader.
Nonetheless, thanks to Netgalley and Rainbow Rage Publishing for providing a copy of the book in exchange for a fair and honest review

Cute yet sexy romance with a friends to lovers theme. Seth and Ally have been best friends since high school. He was there through her mother's long illness and death. She was there through his marriage, birth of his child and subsequent divorce. they are the ultimate best friends. It no wonder Seth thinks it is a great idea to ask Ally to have his baby. He is a great dad and his little girl wants a sibling. No big deal. Somehow they bumble their way through and things get complicated. Over the years it seems everyone except the main couple knew they were in love with each other. With an adorable little girl, and some friends and a little humor, they muddle their way to an HEA. Cute first story with the potential to be a really good series.

I loved this book. Seth wanted another kid as a sibling for his daughter and he asks his bff to help him with it. What he doesn't really realize is that he is in love with his bff and is looking a life and family with her. Eventhough Ally runs at the first sight of trouble, Seth's brother Oliver is able to make her see Seth's love for her. This book has all the elements rightly captured, romance, chemistry, fear, love... a good read

Uneven writing and not quite polished enough for a print library collection.

3.25 Wake Up! Stars
* * * 1/4
Every once in awhile, I can get caught up in a cover and just decide...must see what this is all about...
What got me was the way this man looked at his baby with awe and wonder.... the way he was holding her.

The story has the theme of long time best friends...and one has always loved him...and he, of course has been blind to her love...Thinking they are just like Bros... but she has "Tits instead of Balls."

We first encounter the main characters relationship in the prologue when Seth is about to get married due to a condom failure. The woman has already shown signs of not being the type of person he would want for the rest of his life.... but he is stoked with the idea of having this baby and a real family.... one that loves each other.

It is here in the side room of the church we see and feel the longing between Seth and Ally, his bestie. She is explaining that things will be different once he is married... that his wife needs to be his best friend now... Seth looks her straight in the eyes and says No...I want you to remain my best friend and that is not going to change.

It is there in those moments we know all along they have been in love with each other but he is an asshat... not realizing what was before him.

We fast forward to the present. Wife long gone .... Happily bought out to let Seth raise his daughter without her being part of it. Over these years, Ally has been by his side there to assist whenever needed. Laurie his daughter, is the cutest and now is almost 4. She has been begging her dad for a sibling... and Seth has been trying to figure out how to do it for her.

For Seth is a twin and part of an upper crust family. Their mother left when they were young and the twins hardly saw their father due to his huge real estate company. He was there sometimes... but mainly he would be a no show at school events and everything else.

This was not what Seth wanted for his daughter. He wanted her to be surrounded by love and care. Right now she was... she had him, her Unca Oliver and Ally...Yes, Ally... the one who was always there whenever he needed her...

Seth thought long and hard about having another baby, a little sister or brother for Laurie. It wasn't a whim...He came up with what he thought was the perfect plan... He will have Ally do it...She had recently lost her mother whom she had been devoted to...her finances are in the sh!tter and she never had the opportunity to go to college like she dreamed of...He will create a contract with Ally being the one he impregnates, she will receive funds for any college she wants...

Seth thinks he is doing Ally a solid....

Ah, Yeah....
(view spoiler)

Ally has loved Seth from the start...She was a public school girl, has worked at the diner since forever and knows she was never in Seth's league or even neighborhood. She kept all of her unrequited love for him in lock down...because the friendship she had for him was too important. Plus she loved Laurie as if she was her own...

When Seth proposes his plan... he thinks he is saying everything that Ally could want...Only his way of saying his proposal comes out icky and not what Ally wants to hear. Seth hasn't a clue and when Ally says he only wants her eggs, he says "oh, no I want to do things the Natural way...the physical way..."

Oh, this ought to be good....

What we get is a friends to lovers story with a side order of dense and dessert of crazy sexy. The sexy parts are yummy... so think eating dessert first...The dense part is a bit like veggies your mom made you have... you didn't hate them but they weren't what you loved...The real delight of all of it is the way Seth is devoted to his daughter...He has such love and care for her... and she comes across as smart, stubborn and sweet.

So this has some tasty parts going for it. The cover was truth in advertising.... The pic of adoration for the baby held true.

Have my baby is my first book by Taryn Quinn and it was an okay read. Don't get me wrong I enjoyed it. The sex in this book was smokin' hot and written well. I also love friends to lovers books but I didn't connect to the couple. I didn't feel their relationship. There wasn't a build up it was just assumed they were besties. But I never felt the their bond. I also didn't really understand what the conflict was. I didn't understand why Ally kept running. Nothing was setting her off, no clear problems. It was just like drama for drama's sake. Still it wasn't a bad read. It would have made a great shorter story erotica. But for the lenght of the book I would have like more relationship development.

From sunshine moments to cloudy days, in life we all experience our share of rain. What makes it tolerable is a strong sense of family and a great group of friends. What happens when family ties are non-existent and the bonds of friendship are put to the test? Taryn Quinn blurs the line between friendship and lovers. Seduction is on the agenda when hormones and hearts collide, but will the growing pains along the way prove to be the reason why a longstanding friendship is on the verge of dying? Have My Baby is a tale of sacrifice and new beginnings that leans more toward naughty with a hint of nice. Once I got pass the dirty talk, Seth and Ally were a pleasant surprise.
