This book was a sweet friend to lovers to more book. At fifteen Seth Hamilton, the twin son of the wealthy real estate company owner of the sleepy lake town started public school. He had been going to a prep school in Connecticut with his twin Oliver but hated it. He only lasted one year. Then he decided he wanted to try the tiny school in his hometown.
He wasn’t too sure about it on the first day. But on the second day, the girl who had been absent day one was there day two. Which he thought Ally Lawrence badass for ditching. But later found out that Ally’s mom was very ill and stayed home to keep her company. Considering on the first day when he thought she was badass for ditching well knowing now why he thought she was even more badass for the reason she did it. He has no mom she just walked out on the family so he liked that they were close because Ally was will to share her mom and he enjoyed spending time with her.
Their friendship didn’t stop from that day forward it only grew. Even when Seth dated, each time breaking Ally’s heart but she was always happy he was happy. Then Seth got caught with hand in the cookie jar so to speak you see he got Marj pregnant and so being Seth, he had to make it right. He married her. He wanted to make sure that Ally knew that she would always be his best friend and that they would still be as close and hang out as they did. She said no they couldn’t and wouldn’t for he had a wife now and she would be his best friend and he needed to spend time with her and his family he made.
Before he could argue with her the day of the wedding she was gone. Out to sit with the guest in the church. But not six months later Marj wanted a payout and gave up all rights to Laurie their daughter she didn’t want their life or baby. She didn’t like Ally or having her in the picture at all.
So, they divorced. Leaving Seth with a newborn and that is when Ally stepped in to help her friend. From that point on it was the two of them caring for Seth’s daughter. Until Ally’s mom started to take a turn and she was needed more at home to care for her mom. She was doing all this while working at the diner too. Even when Marj was around she helped care for Laurie because she had no mothering instincts and would only get pissed at the baby which would only make her more pissed because Ally was around. Catch twenty-two.
Well, that baby was now getting ready to turn four and Seth were looking to extend his family. A way to help Ally financially during a difficult time too. So, he comes up with this, cut and dry way for Ally to be a pod that, carries his baby but doesn’t think the scientific way no the good old-fashioned way of making babies is good for him of “I want you in my bed.” Not only that he drew up a contract to go with it.
Ally has a major freak out. After all these years of fantasying about him and tampering it down then he flat out says he wants to “F” her she can’t think so she runs. She won’t talk to him. Now this is new to Seth they haven’t gone more than a couple of days without calling or texting and this is torture for him.
Not to mention if they ever make it into bed Ally has a huge surprise for him. She had hoped that years ago he would have noticed her and married her but the day he walked down the aisle with another woman dashed that dream. So, now almost thirty makes her almost a freak. Life is about to get exciting. After years of being friends and trying to hide her feelings, also year’s of having Seth in her erotic dreams was mind-blowing enough but now for them to be acting on them. It’s overwhelming to her. To the point that after each encounter she runs and he understands and wants to get closer freaking her out.
I loved Laurie the daughter of Seth, she was written so cute into this story which binds them as a couple. She also humanizes Oliver into a loving character opposite of what everyone sees him. I am so in love with this book. This was the first book I have ever read by Taryn Quinn and I will definitely be going back for more. The chemistry and development of the characters were great, making you feel like you knew them personally and were just as involved as they were. Great read!

this was the first book by Taryn Quinn that I have read. I really enjoyed this funny, romantic story. I look forward to reading more books in the future.

I got this book from NetGalley for an honest review. That wasn't hard. I loved this book. What didn't it have - clueless guy, sweet little girl, bff that will turn into a love forever. Seth wanted another kid (he says for his little girl) but as a divorced dad, does he really. He tries talk his best friend Ally into having one for him by offering money, but goes about it all wrong. They have always had feelings for each other, but were afraid to show them to each other. I really liked Seth's twin brother (Oliver) even if he started out a little cold. He explains why later to Ally. I hope the next book is for him. (I think he should be with Sage) There is explosive chemistry there.
All I can say is this book is terrific. It's sweet, sexy, and a HEA. Buy it!!

I could not put this book down yesterday once I started it! It was such a great read! Seth was such an alpha male, but with a soft heart when it came to his daughter and his best friend, Ally. When he asks an almost impossible favor from Ally, they both start to realize that there were always more feelings there than they let loose. But will family and money differences prove to be their downfall?

I enjoyed this friend to lovers romance. Ally and Seth were absolutely great and I loved how much chemistry they had together. Seths Daughter was super adorable! I am looking forward to the next book in the series.

The characters were realistic and they had sizzling chemsitry. I enjoyed this one!

I loved this book. Seth wanted another kid as a sibling for his daughter and he asks his bff to help him with it. What he doesn't really realize is that he is in love with his bff and is looking a life and family with her. Eventhough Ally runs at the first sight of trouble, Seth's brother Oliver is able to make her see Seth's love for her. This book has all the elements rightly captured, romance, chemistry, fear, love... a good read

I have read this author before and I really enjoy her books. But they are known for being HOT!! So when I saw this title I thought it would be hot too but not big on plot. I was 100% wrong. This book is hot but it had such a really wonderful story too. In fact sex doesn't happen for quite awhile while the author really builds this story.

The main plot is that Ally never went to college, she has been taking care of her sick mom for years and now her mom has died and she finally is free to go to college if she can find the money. Seth has been Ally's bestie since high school, he is rich, hot and already a single dad.

He is also a twin and he knows how wonderful it is to have a sibling. His daughter has started to ask for a sister and well the only woman he trusts enough is Ally so he comes to her with the offer of money for college if she has his baby.

Well I am not spoiling anything else. But well I loved both Seth and Ally. It is a great story about finding love in the person who was always right infront of you. SIGH

I beyond LOVED this story and I fel hard for every character in this story.

Ok, this was pretty comical. Only a guy can fumble up asking his best friend to let him knock her up by contract. It took almost half the book for Seth to realize how badly his proposal sounded, but it didn't change the fact that he still wanted a baby with Ally. He wants his daughter to have siblings and he can't think of any woman better for providing said siblings. It also opened his eyes to his true feelings for her and unlocked his libido. If she wasn't so skittish and running away all the time, he might actually convince her this was a good idea. Despite their years of being friends only, once Seth started looking at Ally like a woman, his attention to her was pretty hot. Little 4 year old Laurie was adorable and to see Seth be such a good dad to her was even hotter. This was a funny story that turned super cute at the end. This was my first read from this author and I was completely entertained. I will be checking out more books from her. ARC provided by NetGalley.
