Did not finish this book, was not for me. The writing style was hard to follow along with and I didn’t really like the selected cover art.

I went into this book expecting a romance and was not disappointed. I loved the addition of a mystery and recommend it for when you need something more light after a heavy read.

This was a fun, light story...which is exactly what I needed after reading a few heavier things. This book made for a nice little escape from reality. Book one of a series, that definitely ends with a cliffhanger. I look forward to reading book two to see how the storyline continues.

A well written novel. Eva and Clive were well developed characters and the way this author describes the settings throughout the book truly puts you in the scene. I great start to a series.

Thank you NetGalley for gifting me this book! Chasing Eva was so good that I couldn't put it down. I have had this on my tbr list for so long and now I am mad at myself for not picking it up sooner. I enjoyed the third person perspective because we get to see both Eva and Clive's point of view. We aren't in the dark on the male leads thoughts and feelings which was great. Eva is also a strong spirit who takes over her father's business. It's inspiring to see the female lead not depend on others and is the head of a company. Clive is dreamy and everything a girl could want in a man. The mystery part of the book made it even better! I really recommend this book.

I was given a copy of this book by Netgally for a honest review. I hate giving bad review. I didn't dislike this book, but I didn't like it either. It was just ok. For whatever reason I just couldn't get into it. Hopefully it will be a hit for others.

Chasing Eva is a hot sizzling story. The plot is classic but the twists are made unique by the author. I like both the main characters and enjoyed reading the book a lot. The male lead of the book possesses all the alpha male features and most of the readers will fall in love with him. With this i recommend this wholeheartedly to all the hot romance readers. I received an ARC of this book from Netgalley for free in exchange foe my honest and unbiased review.

The writing is juvenile at best, and right from the start off-putting. Absolutely impossible to get lost in this book, which kind of defeats the purpose of reading it.

Good story, but the plot seems little boring. Would recommend to read sometime but this may not be my first choice.

Chasing Eva is a SEXY read. The characters were really well written & the story was strong & very entertaining.

This was the first book in the In Light of Shadows series & I will be reading more.

This is a duet & this book does end on a bit of a cliffhanger

Eva & Clive are amazingly well written characters. Great secondary characters as well are Eva’s 2 girlfriends that I hope get their own books. Can’t wait to check out what else this author has written.

Clive is portrayed in the media as a billionaire playboy - flings with models - actresses etc no one lasts longer than a month.

When Eva’s father is tragically killed she leaves her job as head chef - a job she loves - to become CEO of her father’s successful interior design firm. Someone however is sabotaging the firm & they begin losing several major clients

Clive & Eva meet - with instant chemistry between them wonder if they can make a relationship work ...

I loved this story & can’t wait to see what’s next for them !!

Eva and Clive meet again, will they find happiness in each other or will their past keep them apart? Secrets and surprises may play a part of their relationship but will they be able to uncover what they need to make them happy? This was a book with laughs, surprises, twists and turns, romance and passion. Thank you for allowing me to read and write about this book.

When you chose to read a Romance novel, you have to prepare for the worst. Their either full of great sexual tension and hot sex scenes or their this one. No chemistry, horribly written sex scenes and no character development. Yikes. Sorry, man. I tried for 87 pages before my constant eye rolling gave me a headache.

I liked the suspense along with the romance. It is a good story and I am hooked.

I confess that I took this book without even reading the synopsis, just because of this cover. I really enjoyed the created mystery and the romance but honestly I am discouraged with cliffhanger books.
The main characters are very well built and I wanted a Clive to call mine, what a wonderful and passionate man.
Eva's friends are also great and Camellia Hart’s writing super dynamic.

It’s hard to resist a good second chance romance and Chasing Eva fits the bill perfectly! Great characters, compelling plot, and good supporting characters. It is a cliffhanger, which I’m usually not crazy about, but I have to admit I’m anxiously awaiting the next book!

Who doesn't dream of being with a successful, gorgeous, and rich man? Clive is all that and more. Eva is beautiful & smart and left her career as chef to take over her father's failing business. Clive falls hard for Eva, but she's seen all the pictures in magazines of him with the many, many incredible women and has heard all about his playboy image, so she's not exactly quick to trust him. I can't help but fall a little in love with Clive myself. Eva is also a very lovable and exciting character as she puts all of her intelligence into saving her father's business.
I think most readers will feel great emotion for Eva and Clive as well. This book is written for adults as there is sexual content.
I am giving a 4 **** star rating to this novel and give it high recommendations to those readers who enjoy a steamy romance.

It was ok. It wasn't that complicated a story and any threat of either the hero/ine pursuing any other possible love interest just didn't seem possible, but I get why the author would try to introduce possible threats to their relationship. Nothing special to this one.

This is the first book of a triliogy and with that being said I am hooked. The characters of Eva and Clive are very well written. The storyline is awesome, except that cliffhanger ending!!! The writing style and storyline sucked me in. I am going to Amazon to order the second book right now!! Fantastic book!
